Thanks bro for listening to feedback. We can see the overlay much better now and the audio is great. Can you comment on if the display uses PWM: take your phone camera and see if it captures the LCD flicker continually. I know the 14 Blade QHD IGZO uses PWM and some people's eyes are sensitive to it. Also under synapse are you able to disable Logo Lighting? Also do you hear any sort of coil whine while using the machine? Also could you do a walk around of the laptop showing its ports and keyboard up close as well as the different lighting effects on the new track pad? Fuck that's a lot also's but you are our voice of reason right now for throwing down almost 4k
Much better video, thanks for persisting! Could you do a video about the laptop build quality itself for day-to-day usage, e.g. - Fan noise idle vs load - Keyboard feel (does being mechanical make a difference) - How hot does keyboard get? Stuff like that. Any great video!
Excellent work with the adjustment, Thanks a lot!!! Any chance you would do a video when playing battlefield 1 multiplayer on a 64 player conquest server. Oh and Titan fall 2 if you have that game.
These vids are really valuable -- thanks! I'm debating between one of these and an OriginPC EON-17X as a system for 3D content creation, video editing, data analysis, and programming. Would you consider doing a detailed review of the keyboard and trackpad, and some additional commentary about the sound levels? I'm interested in noise levels when the system is under light load and when it's under heavy load. How tactile is the keyboard? Do the keys have a lot of wobble? How is the spacebar for tilt and stability? How "clicky" are the keys? How does the trackpad scroll wheel feel, and is it detented or freewheeling? It would also be great if you feel like running a CPU/RAM benchmark and a disk benchmark. One thing I've noticed is that this machine has 2133 MHz DRAM and a 2.6/3.5 GHz CPU. I run some large database queries that can take 15 minutes or more on my current system, and I have lightmap bakes that take over 6 hours currently. Another benchmark you might consider that is of interest to both content creators and gamers is the Unigine Heaven. Thanks again for the reviews. I've been following this series with great interest.
Scott Courtney try and get all that up. But I can tell you keyboard and tp are best I've ever used on a laptop. Noise under load is fairly loud but I figured that with the chassis being so thin
Did you install the new Nvidia drivers that were just released? If you haven't could you download them and run Firestrike without recording and get us a score? Thanks man! You're the one hope for everyone looking to get one of these babys
Cool, thanks! I was reading online that there was some hot fix that was released last night. My biggest concern is how under performing these 1080's are and I'm hoping it will be resolved. Id much rather save the money and get something with a 1070 if this is only 7% faster while in reality it should be around 30%.
Seems like you do sacrifice a little with such a small chasis but its hard to get a comparison since the Alienware and Aorus have not released their thinish GTX 1080 laptops
Thanks i want a laptop that is powerful for 4k video editing and future proof, the msi gs63vr or the razer blade stealth pro 17 maybe are the best choice in slim line category and worth the money only the msi have a lot of plastic on the screen bezels. Ik like the the design of the razerblade it's amazing. How powerful is the razerblade pro 2016 Is it smooth in software with heavy programs like adobe premiere or photoshop
what is your room temperature?. I had a blade 14 with an 870m and it was pretty damn hot on when gaming. I'm trying to return my new aw 17 r4 due to screen problems and might ask for a refund and get this laptop instead.
GamingTechy eh, sound isn't the biggest deal to me. Currently, I'm using my MacBook Pro 15" with the GPU as my gaming PC, although all I can play is World of Warships, but anyway, the sound from the fans on that is pretty loud, and iv gotten used to them. I'll take good graphics, over sound any day. But cool, can't wait to see how it plays!
You asked for suggestions... I'm thinking about getting this for a productivity workstation. Could you show the demo of Lumion? It's a game engine tailored for architects. lumion3d.com
I watched all ur review for gaming. Each video u make a good progress. Good job dude.
Thanks I'm Really trying to take everyone's advice!
GamingTechy which storage u got for that laptop dude? Im considering to buy it.

cfbones I need to install these new drivers as well. I was able to get a 13636 fire strike score so I'm trying to get more out of it
the alienware 17 R4 with the 1080 is available now btw
When will the full review come?
any chance you can do some render test? like with adobe premiere or after effects? or 3d benchmarks like Cinebench? Thanks!
+Khoa Nguyen yikes sounds pricey if it's free or I have it I'll alway test for you guys
GamingTechy I think there a 30 days trail period for Adobe CC which has premiere and after effects. And cinebench is free
+filmhart nice!!! Will add ACC and cinebench to the list thank you for the recommendation!

+Awniooz about 6-9 hours for non gamin

Try GTA V. My main gaming PC broke, and I'm thinking of not even getting another tower, and just getting this. But I'm curious as to how GTA V runs
Joe295398 Love Gta will try shortly keep in mind this will be much louder than your tower

Joe295398 I'm exactly the same way I always game with headphones so I don't care if it gets loud as long as it's thin and runs cool
Exactly. and, where I'm gonna have this set up, is about 2 feet away, with a TV and mouse and keyboard connected, so it should be fine.
