There was a joke that i saw a white jamaican dude (he said he was jamaican) on the Comic View on BET where he told a joke about his kid wanting to call child services on him but that it'll take 10-20 minutes for them to get to their house... and in the meantime he'll beat his ass.
Then years later i see Russell tell that same exact joke except it's his Dad and he tells it with his indian accent. I don't who wrote the joke first, but i did see the jamaican dude tell it first years prior. So Russell has his own shit to answer for.

People are upset that Russ and Sway were talking about Seinfield's money. It makes sense from their perspective. Sure Jerry Seinfield has the biggest/most successful TV show ever, but in terms of pure stand-up comedy, I'm not sure he's even in the same universe as Dave/Chris/Eddie/Carlin/Burr/CK etc. He's big-time for his show and has made some great business moves off-screen, but it's kinda like comparing a top-flight movie star to a great Shakespearean actor that has also won a couple of Oscars and Tony awards. He'll get opportunities because of box-office and TV success but not because his material/skill is on the level of the great comedians. Almost like Dave/Chris = Daniel Day Lewis while Jerry Seinfield = The Rock
Used to love russell peters, he sure is funny as well especially with all the different accent jokes. But you gotta give it to Trevor man, Trevor is funny and I like the fact his comedy is not as offensive but its also pretty intellectual and backed by facts meaning you can actually learn a thing or two while gaining new perspectice, and Russell is not coming up with new good jokes anymore...

Yeah, but the difference here is that as a professional Comic you should be aware of already existing jokes, at least of those which are done by big Comedians. Even if it was your own idea, if someone else did something very similar before, you shouldn't do it. This is not only logical but in that Industry kind of the rule. That shows that if he even came on his own with that, he is not that bright for putting it out.
