I love the way the clear glass in the small corals/sponges/barnacles melds with the clear glass from the gather to make the small features really appear to be floating in the finished piece!
Beautiful! I would love to see more projects from start to finish with minimal editing, maybe with some commentary on your color choices, technique, and things like that. Good stuff.
It's nice to see a younger generation carrying on a tradition so it doesn't die out because many crafts are either gone or close to going and it would be a shame
The internet has helped keep these crafts alive if anything, where stuff like this would only be passed down by proximity to like family members, it's allowed others to learn about the existence of these processes and pursue them, it's cool
Excellent crafts but I totally agree with the previous comment. Please , slow down your videos to show more of the process. This way your work will be serene and enjoyable to watch.
Mother’s Day 2024. Had my first lesson in glassblowing. Ok so I made 2 paperweights didn’t actually blow but it was my first lesson and I am hooked. I moved to Richmond VA 3 years ago and saw an advertisement for the Glass spot. I emailed the woman and she said they were on hiatus. Two weeks ago she emailed me and said they were again giving lessons. I signed up right away. I was widowed 14 years ago and even though my life of 24 years ended I kept going on. It was amazing! My grandfather was a glassblower in the 30’s in NYC. I try to learn something new every day but today was the penultimate.
Just subbed, you are very talented, and create magic with the glass ! Hats off to your assistant too ! My only complaint is there's not enough time to get a good, close look at some of the more intricate pieces at completion. A slo-mo turntable with close ups might be good ? ! Thanks for sharing your artistry ! ❤️ 🕊️ 🇨🇦
This is a mystery to me, HOW you can make liquid glass and glass splinter and heat and pull a little here twist knot hot make cool and I don't know what else can create such works of art. 🤷🏻♂️ 😃👍 I can't even draw a face that looks good with a pencil🫣😂
The funny thing is I can’t draw to save my life. I’m terrible at 2d things. A lot of what I’ve learned I saw other people do and I just watched and copied their movements. A lot of glass blowing is monkey see monkey do. The better you can do that the better a glass blower you will be.
I'm really happy about your answer. Thanks for that. I love your videos and much more your skills. Yes, I believe you, that copying is a very important part of learning, because you can hardly teach yourself everything. You have to gain basic knowledge about what can work and how, so that you can even come up with ideas, what effect does what I'm doing now have and what does it look like in the end? I wish you lots of success!!! 🤞😃

The nonchalance with which he creates that rearing horse is really amazing lol
The Uranium Vase and the horse are my absolute favorites ❤

That show sucks, every season has been rigged in favor of the winner. This last one was the last straw for me.
I enjoyed the show.
So good. Keep deforming it baby!
Magic ❤❤❤
That lady is in fact THE CUSTOMER. Not m3n here trying to blame it on her 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wow! Beautiful.
Just found you,! Amazing, beautiful work, liked and subscribed . Sending thanks from England 🏴
The trick is that there is a pot of clear glass waiting in the furnace and picks up a layer of this before the final rounding out.
Splendide !!!
Fast taim video so nice ❤
Did you sell the underwater fish piece you made at the beginning? I’d love to purchase one.
Me in inazuma running away from everything: then missing inazuma: 👁️👄👁️
