You know, I don't care WTF Roger or David or anyone says NOW. Once upon a time, I think they did actually like each other. I watch this and I see some affection, some fun. I don't think it was JUST a working relationship. I think there was friendship. I understand how hard it must have been for all of them. Let's face it: David and Roger are about as different as two people could be. But I still think they at least respected each other a lot at one point. Maybe that's why it became so bitter at times. I'm grateful for the times that they all could work together and give us all some of the greatest music ever. And no, they don't owe the fans anything more than that.
Best wishes to the surviving Floydians. And to all who love their music.

It's interesting to listen to interviews with the both of them in recent years. Roger has said that whatever was going on with the group socially, he believes that they made some really great music together. He's also said that while he left the band at the right time, he regrets the lawsuit. DSOTM really changed everything for the band - not just with their own relationships within the band, but also in their marriages. The early stuff is where you really see the camaraderie and collaboration.

I played this song for my mom as she passed away 9/17/21…. her death was very sudden. Just a few weeks before, I had shared it with her thru text because we lived far from one another, the lyrics remind me of her and the sadness she had over being alone. She loved it and said it made her cry. When I played it again at her bedside minutes before she left, even though She was in a coma, I know her soul heard it, thank you for giving me that moment with her 🙏🏼

Once upon a time a girl showed me this song, I was talking to her because she looked milledly interesting, I never had strongs feelings for her, for anyone actualy, but, when she showed me this, this song touched my heart and I felt a conection with her. A few months after that one friend of mine said that he was kinda linking her and asked me if it was okay If he talked to her, the simpathatyc loser I am said: I'm okay with that. The day before yesterday he said that he confesed to her his feelings and that she said she had feelings for him too, in that day I realised something: romantically I've been alone since I was born and that I would be alone for a long time. I also realised something else: I missed the chance, my friend is the man inside looking the outside and I could have been that man, there was a week when she talked to me more then normal, I think that in that week she was looking for something and I dismissed that, so she found that in my friend.
Every time I hear this song I think about the only time I was truly in tune with someone, and I feel that this feeling I'll be missing for a long while, or I'll never feel it again, Joana, If you're reading this (witch probably you are not) I Just want you to know that you provided a unique feeling in this cold heart, and that I thank you for that, be happy with him, I'll be happy with me.

It was snowing, I was walking along my city and near some centric shopping mall there was a choir of around 20 little children, like about 5 or 6 years old singing this song while being directed by their teacher. I joined the choir as the teacher smiled back at me, some public also sang with all us. What a nice teacher, showing kids good music. What a nice dream

I wish they would’ve just stayed buddies over the years man☹️ it’s crazy to me to see Gilmour and Waters, who are so extremely intelligent, be driven by hate for each other.
