I always loved how in the last few seconds it switches to the organ sound for like 4 notes, it's the little details in these songs that keeps me coming back and in awe. This is my favorite all around song by PF, I would die satisfied with my life if this was the last song I heard on my death bed
I have something to confess... I'm both the little boys that you see at 1:53 -- yep, those are me! It was an amazing day for me and me to get to see the Pink Floyd guys lay down their sauce and work together on this special day. I doubt they remember both of me, but I am still a huge fan of Pink Floyd and so am I. Shine on!
No matter how many time you listened to this it never gets old, it’s just like the final creation of music that will be listen hundred of years in the future and still remain as a masterpiece
Reminds me of my younger Brother who passed way too early from esophagus cancer despite up til then being lean and no body far. He loved this song, and mayhe what he experienced on the way to paradise ❤
Yesterday I dreamed about this song. It was snowing, I was walking along my city and near some centric shopping mall there was a choir of around 20 little children, like about 5 or 6 years old singing this song while being directed by their teacher. I joined the choir as the teacher smiled back at me, some public also sang with all us. What a nice teacher, showing kids good music. What a nice dream
A very beautiful album. Lovely and peaceful songs that i never get tired of listening. I often listen to this album when i`m driving at night. Pink Floyd runs deep in me. Love Pink Floyd
If someone asks me what melancholy feels like, I will have no problem describing it as I would just need to play this. Incredibly beautiful and it also breaks your heart; this song has just taken over as my favorite Pink Floyd song.
One of my favorite Floyd songs. I like this cool relaxed piano solo by Wright. And I have to say without Waters they were not able to write such a song anymore.
This great cut of raw but delighting photos looks to us like we're actually watching a VIDEO footage of the 72's Floyd playing, talking, working, having fun, in a very palpable and contagious way... :)
my ex introduced me to PF and he had never listened to this album before so we listened to it for the first time together. It was in the car and we were on our way to go to a beach, which was an hour drive. This song really captured me. We took some edibles and enjoyed our company at the beach and sometimes it's hard for me to listen to this since it just makes me miss him more lmao
This beautiful song reminds me of my cat who died far too early at the little age of 7, who we adopted when I was 11. He was my best friend, and we entered adulthood together in a funny sort of way. We used to listen to this song alot. Wherever he is now, I hope he is happy. Love you and miss you lots, can’t wait to see you again.
I love the song then and now, but let us forget that now. Looking at those photos of their interactions and private band moments is a true blessing. They were happy, creative, and supportive, it shows in the photos.
“Hear me shout, come in in! What’s the news, where’ve you been?” I got those lyrics tattooed on my back. My grandpa introduced me to Pink Floyd, and I like to think those are the words he’ll say to me when I meet him again in heaven :) 1944-2019
After being a fan of Pink Floyd for 48 years, I've very gradually come to the view that the band's best two albums are Obscured by Clouds and Dark Side... And if you add the brilliant Meddle, that makes the band's golden period, in my opinion, to have been 1971-73.
They certainly had a beautiful sound during that era, and I think I agree with you, although their later work up to The Final Cut has a special place in my heart also, and some master class songwriting. Especially Animals and the golden Dogs.
My god, where have the years gone? I still have my Hiwatts set up, a Few Fenders, all my guitars in the racks, dozens of pedals on several boards, mic's still on the stands...my hair is still long, but how did I get old? Thanks for this. Brings me back to the best years of my life.....

Turn my lead into gold
Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul
And I think I'm growing old
Flash the readies wots...uh the deal
Got to make to the next meal
Try to keep up with the turning of the wheel.

With her by my side
And if she prefers we will never stir again

Someone will come by, but I salute you for how positive you are. Not many can say they are like that. All the best of luck, my friend.
Mom and Dad when they still loved each other…
Rick's piano solo brings tears to my eyes. I wish he was still with us.
You and me both.
Rick was the foundation for the sound.
I always loved how in the last few seconds it switches to the organ sound for like 4 notes, it's the little details in these songs that keeps me coming back and in awe. This is my favorite all around song by PF, I would die satisfied with my life if this was the last song I heard on my death bed
Waters - Gilmour- Mason - Wright timeless formula!!!! ❤ ❤ ❤
Shine on!
Blud invented cloning
One of my fav Pink tracks
One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
Hits me at the core
No matter how many time you listened to this it never gets old, it’s just like the final creation of music that will be listen hundred of years in the future and still remain as a masterpiece
Reminds me of my younger Brother who passed way too early from esophagus cancer despite up til then being lean and no body far. He loved this song, and mayhe what he experienced on the way to paradise ❤
"Obscured by Clouds" is simply fabulous!
Have you seen "La Valle"? when it was released in USA?
This is probably the "happiest" song I have in my 5,300 song collection.
It is a beautiful song, David's voice mesmerising and Rick, so talented.❤
David Yin and Roger Yang .... perfect chemistry!!!!! Thanks for being humble to stay together to make great music to 1980 final cut 💝💝💝💐💐
This song is nice. Reminds you of a sunny day in a park with a nice breeze blowing. These guys sure know how to set the mood with their songs.
One of my favorite Floyd songs.
I like this cool relaxed piano solo by Wright.
And I have to say without Waters they were not able to write such a song anymore.
Bollocks. Without Roger they were not walking on eggshell, more relaxed and wrote some great stuff.
This great cut of raw but delighting photos looks to us like we're actually watching a VIDEO footage of the 72's Floyd playing, talking, working, having fun, in a very palpable and contagious way... :)
To me, Pink Floyd Made the music of my life...pure art...
my ex introduced me to PF and he had never listened to this album before so we listened to it for the first time together. It was in the car and we were on our way to go to a beach, which was an hour drive. This song really captured me. We took some edibles and enjoyed our company at the beach and sometimes it's hard for me to listen to this since it just makes me miss him more lmao
It makes me happy to think that most of the time the 4 members got along well.
Man, Obscured by Clouds really deserves way more attention. How did this get overlooked by so many people?
Because it the middle child between Meddle and Dark Side lol
Underrated album, had the misfortune to be stuck between Meddle and Dark Side.
Meddle is 100% Drug and trap us into illusion, its not sp easy to break the trap
Exactly
I prefer Obscured.. to Meddle.
O nome do álbum não foi a toa.
The name of the album was not for nothing.
So rate it, if you think it is underrated...
Yet another meaningless "underrated" crap.
Cancerous idiocy...
One of my all time favorite songs of Pink Floyd.
“Hear me shout, come in in! What’s the news, where’ve you been?” I got those lyrics tattooed on my back. My grandpa introduced me to Pink Floyd, and I like to think those are the words he’ll say to me when I meet him again in heaven :) 1944-2019
Ohhh... when they were friends... how beautiful and nice
Pink Floyd is my soul
After being a fan of Pink Floyd for 48 years, I've very gradually come to the view that the band's best two albums are Obscured by Clouds and Dark Side... And if you add the brilliant Meddle, that makes the band's golden period, in my opinion, to have been 1971-73.
Totally agreed and echoes is the best song they ever did possibly the best song of all time.
They certainly had a beautiful sound during that era, and I think I agree with you, although their later work up to The Final Cut has a special place in my heart also, and some master class songwriting. Especially Animals and the golden Dogs.
I couldn't get the song out of my mind.Thank you
What a song ??????..
I absolutely love it..
I LOVE IT..
My god, where have the years gone? I still have my Hiwatts set up, a Few Fenders, all my guitars in the racks, dozens of pedals on several boards, mic's still on the stands...my hair is still long, but how did I get old? Thanks for this. Brings me back to the best years of my life.....
You'll never be old in your heart, man. Shine on.
You have hair?! But I know what you mean. Seventies were the best cos that's when the Sixties came to my home town
Obscured By Clouds should have been made into a monster since they all pulled together as a team.
Which one is Pink? Anyone know?
Noneovyer Business they rode the gravy train
@@pulsarlights2825 Pink was a vocal display of ignorance uttered by a corporate executive who only knew how to offer the dear boys a cigar and tell them the name of the game.
@@noneovyerbusiness4909 I understand the point of the lyric that an ignorant record company exec would think that "Pink Floyd" was an actual person. However, since the leadership of the band has been shared by Gilmour, Waters and even Syd at one point, "Which one is Pink?" takes on another meaning to fans...So I'll ask again, which one is Pink?
@@pulsarlights2825 I would venture to say 'Pink' was Syd since from what I read he was the one who came up with the name as homage to American blues musicians Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.
Obscured by Clouds
is undisputedly my most favourite floyd album... and this, along with the opening part of Childhoods End are my most loved tracks .. but I heard and loved these before dark side was ever brought in to existence. great days if you were there
"come on in..
what's the news..
..and where you bin.."
One of the best early Floyd songs. So laid back, it's like pouring figurative honey into your ears.
Always good when Gilmour sings
And when Wright sings and when they sang together!
Scott Campbell ya like Echoes, Time, Us and Them, Let there be more light Etc.
its not gilmour its the voice of god my friend
Pink Floyd es lo mas chingon de la musica...
GRACIAS
This is my favorite Pink Floyd song of all time. No one has ever heard of it when I tell them! Underrated for sure.
David Gilmour has the best voice and just a beautiful guitar player.
isn't this roger singing?
@@gregy1570 No.
One of the most underrated albums. This song simply beautiful.
Why do not you rate it more?
The "underrated" rants are so imbecile that they cannot be more imbecile than they are..
couldn't agree more
Possivelmente a melhor, pois que a síntese.
How warms it the heart seeing them so beautiful, so young, and bound together by a common purpose. United we stand, isn't it? Peace & Love forever! 💔💔❤❤❤
Roger and David worked and played a lot... This is one of Pink Floyd's more underrated songs.
Today it is my 40th anniversary and this song was the first thing I thought in the morning.
I went 35 years of my life never hearing this tune. Thankfully our paths finally crossed.
Dude, welcome to Obscured By clouds. Now tell me son, wtf else haven't u listened to by Floyd ?? More ? Embryo ? 'The man and the Journey' ? Crumbling Land ? Come in number 51 your time is up ? Vegetable Man ? lol Ummagumma ? Sorry man I just Love Love Love Floyd
@@paulnolan4971 I have definitely been catching up to all of their material! Mostly just listened to the more popular albums, which are all amazing, but am just floored at how much amazing material they have out there that isn’t as well known. Currently, I can’t stand listening to “Biding My Time”. My God that song is phenomenal!
Pink Floyd you are GOD of Music... Thank you for such lovely songs...
'Wot's um the deal' has a Melody and softness to it I love it! Definitely Pink Floyd with a dreamy sorta feel. Glad I found it!!!
Has a 1972 BREAD Guitar Man feel to it
My favorite song from this amazing album ❤️
Am I the one whose heart starts melting from "Hear me shout: come on in..."?
Simply perfect, true art of music & as good as it gets🤘
Lovely. The sight of Rog and Dave happily playing Foosball together lightens the heart, if you like (as Alf Razzell might say).
Obra de arte, pink Floyd a melhor banda de rock de todos tempos...
Geez. It doesn't matter how many times I see this and hear this song my eyes just well up with tears. I dunno, it's one of the most beautiful songs in their repertoire. They made soooo many moving pieces of music. Simply the best to me
AGFAUYFUAEY THE PICS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL IM CRYINGGGGG
This is a lovely song. Must get a CD of Obscured by Clouds. I only ever had a cassette- long lost.
It has been right at 50 years since we first met at Ralph and Cathy's.
The memories of the short time we shared have stayed with me to this day. Perhaps some of the best memories of my life, the innocence of one's first love never fade.
This was our song Dani.
"There's no wind left in my soul and I've grown old"
But I have never stopped thinking about you.....
These 4 men have no idea how much they’ve changed my life, changed me as a person and changed the way I look at the world. They have definitely expanded my mind with every single one of their albums. And many others with me. I wish they could find that pure love for music and art again and bond over that. I wish they would’ve just stayed buddies over the years man☹️ it’s crazy to me to see Gilmour and Waters, who are so extremely intelligent, be driven by hate for each other. Idk, something inside me tells me that they could’ve known better. But then also I get that Roger can be a big asshole sometimes😭 my love for this band cannot be put into words. Their music just feels like my soulmate, it’s something I can always rely on. They’re simply the greatest band of all time.🙏
I wouldn't say they saved my life, but they sure made my days worth living on this godforsaken earth. They are my life, and I love them so much. Gilmour, Syd, Roger, Wright, Mason... you are my heroes 💝
Pink Floyd Oozes Talent, Success and Creativity. Such a Brilliant Band one of my Favorites for sure 💖
Gilmour sounds like an angel on this. I mean he always does, but on this one its hard to believe a human can sing so beautifully.
Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like Pink Floyd
I cannot put into words how much I love this song. It's hard to pick one favourite song from a band like this, but, for me, this is the one.
Underrated of all their albums...come on, who doesn't tap their toes to Free Four?
Most underrated song of them
Grantchester Meadows? On the Turning Away?
Lawrence Taylor nah
It's acutally my all-time favorite song by them!! Has been for years. So beautiful.
Nope. There are others more underrated
Cymbaline
i didnt knew the album until i found it selling in a old vinyl shop for like 5 bucks (some 15 years ago), quickly became my favourite piece from them!
my favorite album of Pink Floyd. It makes me enjoy to grow old
1. 2. Free FOUR
Thank you to the Highest Being for aligning the stars and the cosmos, allowing these four incredible individuals (David, Roger, Rick and Nick) to cross paths and meet in this lifetime and create something truly special for the world to enjoy and experience. Love you, Pink Floyd!
