Thanks for your question! It is an option under controller so you should be able to with PC and MAC. I have not tried this out to verify. Hope this helps let me know how it goes!
@@jimverin7583 I don’t think you have to buy the app in order to access it. It’s a free download but it might through a subscription in your face, try to cancel it or bypass it. What I did was sign up for the free trial and the. Canceled it so I don’t get auto renewed. Mine was free for. A year.
This still doesn’t work for me.. because I get a prompt to tell me to hit the Backbone button but the Backbone button just acts like the home button for the iPad and since you back to the home screen and kicks you out of whatever application you’re on
So I don’t think the backbone button actually works on the iPad like it does on the iPhone. This video was essentially just showing how you could get the controller functioning in games and apps. If you find a fix for the back bone button on iPad let me know!
@@brandongray4260 if you have an older iPad that just uses Lightning cable you’ll need a lightning to lightning cable. If you have a newer iPad you should be able to use the lightning to USB-C cable. My mistake for not specifying in the video that this was for iPads that take a USB-C connection.
Never worked for me. Same setup USB-C. Never got the blue light only charging pulsating white light. Same “play on any screen” iPad/Mac. 3 different mfi certified cables.
Is it comfortable to use without a phone in it? I'm thinking about trying to set this up with my Galaxy Tab for times when I'm traveling and want a larger screen to play on. I'm just curious how it feels gaming with the controller if there isn't a phone in it.
It’s not bad. The best way I can describe the experience is that it dosnt feel whole. It feel almost like half a controller . For travel not bad though! Easy to carry and pack opposed to a bulkier controller. Hope this helps!
Your not the only one with this issue, I’ll do some research see what I can find . Some people mentioned that they recently pay walled this feature although I haven’t validated that myself yet.

DUDE THANK YOU!! It’s insane how they locked the feature behind a pay wall tho I’m mad. Good thing I still had the free trail
I just found out myself geeze
can you do it without the app and use the backbone on pc?

Is it better to just use a normal ps5 controller with Bluetooth to the ipad
If you have one then yes.
@@wackodreamer well it comes with the ps5 and you need a ps5 to use the back or right?
Can you rephrase please? I’m not sure what your asking or what your hoping to learn. I’m happy to help 😃
@@wackodreamer i was wondering if you needed a ps5 to use the backbone controller with the iPad
Ahhhh no you don’t. You can use it without a ps5
What generation ipad it has to be ? In order for it to work . I have the 2017 9th gen
I’m not sure I wish I could help here. 😕

does this version lightning work for the android type c
You raise a good question. I’m assuming your asking if you could use a lightning cable to usb type c on an android phone instead of a type c iPad?
My usb c backbone opens the calibrate joystick setting when I click that setting.
Using an Original Apple USB c to lighting cable and the iPad selected on play any screen and it still acts like it’s not connected to my iPad.
