On my PlayStation we have different accounts for everyone in the family. If we bought both our sons one of these would they both be able to access the PlayStation through the app at the same time? Thanks
Nope not if you are on the PlayStation at the same time, now it could work but will be very laggy and I doubt PlayStation has it unlocked for multiple accounts to play on the same PlayStation it’s lock down to only one at a time, for better performance
Awesome video! Would it work with an iPad that has a lightning port instead of usb-c?
It will work with an iPad cause the backbone is a lightening port but you would need a cable that is lightening to lightening for it to work.

Best bet is to get a usb C to lightning adapter. It’s a small piece that connects to your usb C part of the lightning cable and viola, lightning to lightning. Enjoy and keep in mind not to game for long sessions these adapter pieces are not that steady. If you wish you can get the older model of the backbone or check out 8bitdo Bluetooth controllers.
What case do you have on your iPhone? I have been looking for a good Backbone-compatible one so I don’t have to keep removing it.
On the Version 1 backbone controller you have to remove your case, but with the version 2 you don’t have to remove it, I have the version 1, and but my case I have is by casekoo

At the same time ? Nope 👎🏽 cause one is login but I never tried I know mostly one will log out

Nope 👎🏽 you can play anything you want such as steam, xbox cloud gaming, xbox game pass, Apple Arcade , Google playstore etc anything you want
I would have to use a lightning to lightning cord. My iPad doesn’t have usbc port. Will it still work?
Yes it should work, just make sure your iPad is updated and app is updated and you did the full setup process on your phone

I got the backbone android (usb-c) when I connect it to my ipad (usb-c to lightning) it doesn’t read the controller. 😢

Did you go through the settings and make sure you select iPad to play on any screen, and make sure your apps are up to date
Do have to have the PlayStation 5 console to get the PlayStation backbone connected to your phones and ipad

Hello, I have a question, can you configure the backbone app from the ipad?
Because I'm thinking of buying it, in a store near my house, but they only have the lightning version and I have android. And I wanted to know if I could configure it from my own android. Thanks.
The app from a iPad umm possibly but you would have to have the android one cause iPads are USB C and the backbone controller needs an lightening or usb c connection port to activate it on the app

can you show how to connect to a macbook laptop? because it doesn’t work for me
Sure here is the steps, connect your phone first to your backbone controller, go through the setup process after it’s all done and activate go to the backbone settings with phone connected, then go to play on any screen select Mac then get your cable plug it to the Mac and backbone controller look at the backbone icon it will start to glow blue then when it does remove your phone from the controller then on your Mac look for a game with controller support and then your ready to go.
When I g to my settings on my backbone and follow your details I don’t have the option of clicking on play on screen why please advise thanks.

I was wanting to use the backbone app to capture the game play but it sends me back to press X to continue (otherwise this works flawlessly for me)
So I figured it out. If anyone here wants to record their gameplay into the backbone app slide your screen down select and down the screen record button and pick how you want to screen record the gameplay.

Nope you shouldn’t have to download the app on the iPad, did the backbone light turn blue when you plugged it in to the iPad

@@Riot4Eternity it worked for me! I had no problem doing it, make sure on the phone it set to play on any screen and select iPad, it does take some try’s to get connected when you see the blue light on the backbone button then you are good too go.

Yes 🙌🏽 you gotta do the full setup, with the phone then you pay for the subscription but you get 1 year free first before they even charge you, it’s $30 a year

@@raysha9932 30 days free that’s strange! Didn’t know they switched it too that, cause it’s suppose to be 1yr free, and if your kids use it on they phone they will have to go through the setup process also unless they use your or your husband account which sucks

Nope 👎🏽 it doesn’t break easy! Just depends if you are rough with your stuff but when you have your phone connected it won’t break

Ok I have one of those cables but it’s to big to plug into the iPad
If you have a iPad that is USB C you plug the usb c to that and the lightning cable to the backbone controller

Just buy a extra ps5 controller which would be cheaper then back bone had the back bone but felt it was too small for my hands but the Gamesir G8 was perfect cuz its like a full controller on your iPhone

How come i dont get the option to use other screens. Yes im subscribed.
Plugged the phone to the controller first then the option pops up in the settings under the play on any screen options.
Ok so you got me wayyyyyyyy further than I was able too. Now the issue that im having is that on the screen it says press A for the setup. I do that and nothing happens. I tried all the buttons and unplugging and replugging. Please Help me Bro!
Have you setup with your phone first? And made sure it activated
So it works on the phone fine but when I followed this video everything works until I press A when connected to the ipad

I have tried connecting my backbone to my ipad but it keeps flashing as i have already changed the setting to ipad also tried mac and still have the same problem

While using the PS5 with the backbone it just keeps disconnecting me from the backbone
Are you using PS Remote Play & is all your stuff updated to the latest software, and is your phone overheating
I’m not sure but when I go to “play on any screen” it pulls up a screen that says quickly access the PS App and gives me options for no shortcut or open PS App

@@zanieshaharris885 try this close all your apps on your phone then power it off for 45 seconds power back on and connect to the backbone controller to see if that fixes the problem.
Damn!! So this mean I have to teather teather my internet connection to the Mac. I’m traveling and though it would just be showing what is on my phone screen
When you are using the backbone it shows what is on your phone while playing but if you are using it on the computer or iPad you just play on any screen or are you trying to do something different
I ended up just going to the Xbox website and playing the game via their cloud service… I didn’t realize you take the phone out of the controller and use your computer to play it via the cloud.
I original thought it was just going to screen mirror what was going on with your phone on what ever monitor you are using.
To me that would be better because I’m a trucker, and had to use my phone’s personal hotspot to teather my internet to my Mac. That’s a much slower connection than the 5G on my phone
That being said it wasn’t bad. A little grainy… but I only have 20g when teathering, but I have unlimited internet when in normal use
I play Sniper Elite 5, and the screen is too small to play it on the phone. I had to use reading glasses.
I have an AirPad at the house, and I will see if that will be better because it can download the Xbox and Backbone Apps. Mac doesn’t have that app
@@mightymikeamps9317 oh ok I see understandable yeah you can play on an iPad and remove your phone from the controller, just gotta plug in the iPad with a cable, but first on the phone make sure you setup with play on any screen first in the settings of the app so when you connect to iPad the controller will start working then you just download the games you want and your good to go.

Do the full setup on the phone first and set it up on the phone then you will be able to use the iPad with the controller.
I did everytime I try to set it to iPad it calibrates the analog

I want to get it, but I’ll wait til I’m forced to get an iPhone that uses USB C and then get a backbone that has thr same connection.
Well the iPhone 15 Pro have usb-c and you can use the backbone with usb-c on there.

It would be better if the controller could be attached to the ipad.
Yeah don’t open that wide, maybe an iPad mini but couldn’t say cause never tried it.

U have games that aren’t even on the AppStore like, Fortnite and spex
Apex is on the AppStore, and Fortnite you can play it 2 different ways through PS Remote Play, or Xbox Cloud Gaming

Why would I use backbone with iPad when I can just use my ps5 controller?
Cause most people don’t want to carry they actual controller every where they go, when the backbone controller is easier. But people are free to use anything they like.
Less input lag obviously
