- An emotional masterpiece, in all senses -- lyrics, instrumentation, sound and production! Lennon's plaintive, raspy voice (sometimes double-tracked), Harrison's sitar-like guitar, rhythm guitars, Lennon's plucking, the piano, the drums, the bass, the harmonies -- absolutely everything. This song always reminds me of a few friends who wouldn't "come out to play-a-a-ayyyyyy."
This is the best song by the Beatles. It's got everything by all the members of the band.
Amazing, ive come out to play!
They are the greatest rock band ever!!!
I also like the bass line. The background vocals, too. And Paul almost takes a drum solo in the last part. Fabulous!
It's so hard to imagine how much you want to bel😢 it is over 50 years old and so much more than a song it's a masterpiece of sound wow
This beatles song is my favorite, its nice to see that people are discovering it . .
One word: brilliant!!
Beautiful!!! 🥹 It is a masterpiece, absolutely! One of my favourites, this song’s is sooo good, it’s got it all. Beautifully written and sung by John 🤍 Love the bass, drums and piano from Paul, brilliant.
Great analysis of a great song, love your appreciation for this great music which is often overlooked
pure excellence as i come to expect..been a beatless fan fo30 years never ever get tired of their brilliance!
I feel the same as you dax. My top ten for sure..... I love everything about the song, This Is John And Paul and George "coming together" and doing what they did best ..being supremely magical human creatures....
Such a great review. It shows you have an appreciation and understanding of great music. The Beatles rule forever and ever !!
It’s in my top 10 Beatles songs too and that is saying something.
when ringo came back from holiday , he overdubbed the drums at the end of the song because , ironically , Paul wasnt able to get it right
Love it Beatles are goats
Prudence Farrow. Mias Sister
Despite Sgt Peppers this is the most psychedelic song of all time.☺️❤️
This has always been my favorite John song. More of a Threatles song as Ringo supposedly isn't playing on it. The drumming sounds so different in the beginning of the song that it's hard for me to believe it is all Paul doing those terrific fills at the end. Love the electric guitar runs by George. Just a fabulously produced song.
I think they passed the audition
