I always thought that MK’s first markings were just red face paint to emulate his mentor and idol, seeing as traditional face paint in monkey king iconography has the markings in red and you can see that in LEGO’s first ever Wukong minifigure. I’m also pretty sure the outfit Wukong’s wearing in the S4 flashbacks where he’s with the brotherhood IS his pilgrim outfit because it has the tiger skin and it’s what he wore when Tripitaka is depicted giving him the gold headband in the show, even if the order in which he wears the outfits doesn’t quite make sense
Yeah, you could be right about the face paint thing. It's odd it's not really in the show though, especially since it keeps showing up in the sets. However, I don't think Sun Wukong is wearing his pilgrim outfit in the season 4 flashbacks though, since that was before he became a pilgrim. I know his skirt (?) looks a bit like tiger skin, but it's orange with black spots, not stripes. The reason why they gave him this outfit is because it's a homage to the film Havoc in Heaven (1961/1964). The outfit Sun Wukong is wearing in season 4 is the same outfit he wears in the film Havoc in Heaven (1962/1964), which takes places before he becomes a pilgrim, so it's not meant to be his pilgrim tiger skin outfit. You can see here that it's the same outfit: static.wikia.nocookie.net/legomonkiekid/images/8/8a/Havoc_in_heaven_monkey_king_design_comparison.png Btw, you can watch the film here: ruclips.net/video/Hu0XosgxCyU/видео.html
Sun Wukong has an affair with Mai, the Western Sea Dragon horse girl. The Monkey King took his wand from the East Sea Dragon Palace, where Mai's great uncle lives. This means that Mai is associated with some of the events. Had the Monkey King not stolen the wand, MK would not have obtained it and his powers would not have been revealed. But where did the Eastern Sea Dragon get the staffs from? And by the way, I believe the mysterious mastermind is Mr. Subbody, which means Mr. Subbody was locked in the parchment, or was ink at all. He was also confident that the world would be destroyed as Mastermind had to do, but he seemed angry to me when the world was saved as Mastermind was saying there would be dire consequences.
Oh good point about Master Subodhi! The ink version of him in the Scroll was pretty suspicious, and yeah, I was wondering why he didn't look happy when they beat Azure in the special!
9:50 I am convinced that they changed the color of the mask due to the similarity with the macaque .. Я уверена что они поменяли цвет маски из-за сходств с макаком...
True! But man, you pointing out it's a similar colour to Macaque's reminded me of my theory that Macaque is connected to the Python Demon. ruclips.net/video/R4a-9AmV1GY/видео.html It's a weird theory lol, but I think the reason Macaque's face marking is red and spiky is because of the Python Demon's influence. Anyway, in the episode Duplicatnation, we see MK's clones have spiky face markings like Macaque's! Screenshots here ar-blackshaw.tumblr.com/post/716639080698478592/ So, maybe that's linked to why MK's old face marking in the sets looks similar to Macaque's? Idk, I've got a few ideas lol
I was here thinking and I realized how Mei could have the ring of samadi since Ao Li would be alive in one of your theory,s🤔 And yes I would really like it if he was alive 😅
Well, we don't know how the Samahdi Fire gets passed down, but I'm going to assume it just automatically gets passed down once you have a kid. So, Ao Lie would've had the Samahdi Fire in him, but once he had a kid, the Samahdi Fire was just passed to the kid. Kind of like how the Elemental Masters in Ninjago lose their Elemental Powers once they have kids. I mean, that must be how it works, since one of Mei's parents (we don't know which one) is descended from Ao Lie and would've passed the Samahdi Fire down to Mei. And Mei's parents are alive (or at least they were in season 1, and we have no reason to believe one of them died since then).
@@RVSketch thank you very much and I wanted to know if other dragons will appear in the series since I saw that there are 4 of them but I think not all appear in the journey to the west or east I got confused ,sorry😅
@@z00mfr1days5 I also hope we see more dragons in the show! Also, you are thinking of the Dragon Kings of the Four Seas - and there are four of them. But there are actually lots of other dragons in the book as well!
Yeah, so MK probably shouldn't have two different eye colours/golden eyes, because the reason Sun Wukong has golden eyes (he originally had normal eyes) is because he was burnt in Lao Tzu's furnace, but that never happened to MK. I talked about this in this video (and I have a theory as to how MK having golden eyes could be explained): ruclips.net/video/ATXyzVTlN70/видео.html
Yeah, I noticed the Dragon of the East Palace set mentioned there's a scroll. But there aren't any pictures of it online yet - so it may not be the Scroll of Memory - it could just be some random scroll. Also my bad, I mislabelled that set - its actually 80049, not 80047 😅
btw, I accidentally labelled the Dragon of the set as 80047. It's supposed to be 80049 😅
