- A short animation based in the world of Helldivers 2. I made this over the course of around 4 months. All 3D work was done in Blender, with compositing, editing, sound effects and colour grading done in Davinci Resolve. I am very happy with the overall look of this animation. I think it is my favourite project when it comes to environments, lighting and cinematography. The story is very basic and may not flow as well as I would like, but storytelling is something I want to improve.
Huge thanks to the members of the Helldivers Archive Disocrd server, who create and upload resources from the game for others to use. Without them, I would not be able to make use of the character, weapon or vehicle models.

even more fortunately, Helldivers aren't clones. so there isn't explosive trauma (and with the survival rate there isn't even PTSD !)
I don't think hell divers are cloned
each helldivers are individuals. the replacement always another individuals. if not select the character voice, sometimes it is male voice and sometimes it is female voices. anyway, those 2 titans will survive that blast based on the dropped locations and distance seen in vid.
They are actually "prints". The meat suits hanging in the conveyor are blanks and when a hell diver joins your ship or you die on the surface, a new blank is imprinted with your/their consciousness.
So, yes, the HellDiver will remember his sacrifice (well likely, they do get the memories of their missions, but has not been confirmed whether the last few moments are edited out before the next imprinting).
Did ya'll just think there were a bunch of HellDivers across the galaxy screaming, "HellDivers never die!!" while they actually have an expected lifetime of 2 mins? lmao
Why do you think you get a whole super destroyer to yourself? You think they just churning those things out every 2 mins? Ever looked to the sides of the entrance pod when you join a ship? Never wondered why you have a literal plug slot in the back of your head?
@@NoahWei42 They are tho, that's why the default voice setting is "random". And it is also why there is a helldiver death count on the galactic map.
Also also I don't think there is a plug slot on every helmet skin, may be wrong about that tho.
But yeah it is confirmed that when you die you are a different person. The super-destroyer isn't for "you" but for every helldiver that's frozen and waiting deployment. They don't churn those every 2 minutes, every time they make a new one is when a new player buys the game and finish training. You as a player don't play as the individual helldiver but as every helldivers who own the ship (wich means every helldivers frozen in pods aswell as the ones that get added to replenish stocks).
Your use of the Halo soundtrack does not go unnoticed. Honestly added so much to the animation, love it so much

Man its crazy how much some effort into sound effects can go. You really feel each of those inputs into his wrist and the booming chirp of the ball arming really tells you that there is no going back, and there is no other way. All that without a moment of dialogue. I aspire to be you, sir

You know... we used to be one of the Greatest game on this year. many popular person played and enjoyed it.
But now most of Helldivers are gone.. cause of countless useless patches, so many bugs, and Those greedy PSN link acount.
From now on we still have millions of Helldivers in current time. Maybe we could end of only few hundred.
But we can still protect the humanity. The only we need to do is Diving.
This is awesome. Imagine Clone Wars, but it's Hell Divers!

Im that guy that breaks off and distracts the enemy, then I get kicked because the leader doesnt have a clue whats going on and sees me die after a minute or two.

We as citizens have a duty, a privilege we must pay for in tears, in blood sometimes our Very Lives, that sacrifice does not go unanswered nor are we forgotten. We pay that price do others might live free, the others are given that comfort that only Democracy can grant us.
So remember this do not look at it as your end, but at the beginning of the path you pave set others to walk safe and free under the mantle of DEMOCRACY.

The only thing that would have made it any better(it is fantastic editing btw) but if we saw the pelican carry off his squad in the reflection of his visor kind of like "my comrades are safe my job is finished"

His arms and leg tired from repeated blows and run in battle and his belly pierced by a claw, a poison barb, and blood dripping down the hood.
He duty is shields the defenseless citizens that had survived the massacre. Breathing heavily as he struggled against fear and rage as the poison did its vile work.
He just staggereds to a nearby rock.
H-4: “Go, my brothers! I’ll hold them off! citizens must escape.!”
He slumped on the ground, the end of his strength had come. He could do no more.
But the group was not willing to leave him.
H-1.2.3: “Our brother wait at your position we are coming for you : we dive together or not at all.“
Looking in the plains he gazes upon a host of termites.
In it He turned to the sun and took a deep breath.
H-4: “I am at the threshold of the end.“
H-4: “It’s alright brothers.“ He said softly, “I will fulfill my duty to my last breath!“
H-4: “Because my faith is my freedom and my fury is my eagle...“
Releasing with a calm hand and heart with the last of his strength a signal orb and a final gaze to the sky seeing the other ships of the SES brothers and sisters and the H-4: he dies free.
Eagle-1 fighter: Democracy´s on its way!!!! all helldivers leave the signal area the 500kg bomb coming stand clear.
His brothers on the hill hold their position until the arrival of the pelican, Their eyes flared red with battle rage! and the super earth flag waving as a symbol of what we are fighting for.
H-1 “For freedom my brother!.“
Pelican-1: shuttle launch in 20 seconds.
Putting the hand down that holds the weapon with a deep breath saying.
H-1: “it is time to leave this place without our brother and never forget for his sacrifice!!!!!!“
Pelican-1 flying off into the distance.

H-2 “We will never forget what you did.“
H-3 “Reast and peace our brother.“
H-1 “I always keep…my promises…”
