ALSO also I found Anne's behavior in Sprig's Birthday to be reminiscent of the kind of things Sasha would do. Just goes to show some of Sasha's influence still lives on in Anne

Honestly the mom's room with all the Anne stuff is just really depressing :( That and all the food they were given by the Thai community in an earlier ep just shows the detail they put in for a grieving mother
Im surprised Shark made the comparison of Sprig to anne in the birthday episode, but I also think it was mimicking Sasha too, and how controlling she was of Annes birthday.

One thing I love about Jenny that I haven't really seen anyone else ever talk about before is that we literally don't get ANY pronouns for Jenny, no "he", no "she", no "they", it's always just Jenny or Jenners throughout the entire show, literally one of a kind XD

Technically, the Core's first appearance was at the very end of Season 2 Episode 14, and it also had a cameo in the hidden mural in the Newtopian throne room in the Season 2 finale.

I'm not sure the "Asian parents" thing is just a meme. I had one Asian guy in my class. His parents were rich, and they chose his classes for him, and forced him to study what they wanted him to do. I also have a Filipino friend with rich parents and they literally forced her into medical school even though she didn't want to go.
My parents never would have survived having me if they were like that...
Season 3 has a hard time after how amazing Season 2 is. Especially since it's more slow paced since they're on Earth.
The Star Wars and Spider-Man references were so over the top lol. Sprig recreated Spiderman 1 and 2 with the wallclimbing and swinging and tongue nets lmao
Everyone agrees there isn't enough Sasha, but that makes her appearances so much better I guess
I mean season 2 was the same, just the finale of season 2 was so peak that everything afterwards will feel slow due to the fast pacing of true colors. 3A is a favorite of mine, more than season 1 in its entirety, since it's arc of Anne fixing her relationship with her family was perfect.
@@sirraven_ True. I think from 2-3 it's much more noticeable. After the season 1 finale, Season 2 started with them traveling to the capitol, which was slow, but still had progressing towards a clear goal. While season 3 was physically more static since they were in the same location. Season 3A is great, especially with the family dynamic, which is amazing to watch, but it does feel like the main war plot is secondary to episodic adventures. (I'm trying to figure out what vibe the seasons give me and trying to put people's complaints into clear words.)
Welcome back to Amphibia. Where the pain finally seeps in even deeper. And we’ve got quite an interesting set here. It has one of my least favorite episodes of the season and one of my favorites. But anyway, time for some notes.
1. Polly is learning how to use the internet……..and now I’m more terrified than ever.
2. My respect for Anne’s parents skyrocketed in just two episodes.
3. Even if Mr. X gets better later on, I still don’t find the whole ‘government chases after out of place life forms’ plot line. It’s getting old fast.
4. I like to think Mrs. Boonchuy is a better version of Camila Noceda.
5. Does anyone else notice how Anne’s parents each represent the best qualities that are present in both of her friends? Mrs. Boonchuy can be bossy and a bit controlling but we know it’s because she cares about Anne. Mr. Boonchuy loves video games.
6. Sprig’s birthday is honestly one of my favorite Sprig episodes in the series because it emphasizes his best qualities rather than play up his worst ones for comic relief.
7. Speaking of Sprig episodes, the mere existence of Spider Sprig baffles me.
8. The background characters in this show really have some of that Gravity Falls comedic charm if you know what I mean.
9. ……at the time it aired Marcy’s suffering could very well have been the reason for me going down a dark, violent path. Like, I was so horrified and livid by the end that I had to lie down to avoid hurting anyone.
10. No matter what anyone tells me, Marcy never deserved any of this pain. And even though I know the ending of this series her possession still remains one of the most horrifying scenes in the show.
11. I hope Marcy’s journal can provide more info on the Shadowfish. They’re such an interesting concept that I would like to see explored further.
12. Frankly, Spider Sprig’s moral makes little sense. What was Sprig supposed to do in this scenario? He was being attacked and he wasn’t even being that arrogant or irresponsible.
13. The core possession reminds me of something…….Mission Report. December 6th, ……I’m sure it will come to me later.
14. I hate Andrias much less than I did before and looking back I do think he’s a well written antagonist overall, but I’ll never forgive him completely for what he did to Marcy.
15. If it’s not clear at this point, I kind of Stan Marcy. Just letting you know.
16. Calamity Sage Mode Anne passing out after using her powers too much……surely this isn’t hinting at anything, right?
17. Amphibia created its own Gravemind……..yay.
18. Anne’s growth from spoiled millennial to a more well rounded, responsible individual is one of the most satisfying aspects of this show.
19. Everyone wishing a kid happy birthday just walking through the street? This isn’t like any LA I know of. LA doesn’t give a shit whose birthday it is unless it’s a celebrity

There are 18 episodes this season Shark, but the last two are extra long just so you know (by which I mean they’re enough to cover your usual 3-4 episode runtime). Just do 3 each video and you’ll be at your best pacing I think (assuming you haven’t just done them all already).
He has a schedule made out already for what episodes to start, stop, and end on.
