Want these NotebookLM Podcast prompts for free? This AI channel is just getting started, and your support really helps shape its future! I’ll send you the full doc with all prompts and my research notes as a thank-you for being part of this early community. Let’s grow together! (Of course, only if you find the content valuable!)
My favorite prompt was the debate. Reminded me of a book series called, “Taking Sides”. Each chapter two authors took a topic and defended opposing views. Great prompt. Look forward to using it. Thanks for the video.
Hi both, thanks for watching, feel free to build on these prompts and share with the community ! docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing
Absolutely ... now I will play 'Devil's Advocate' with NLM and have the second avatar be a point scorer: hhmmm I wonder if that avatar will be biased!!?? I will need to watch what I do in that prompt.
The debate prompt was helpful. There are times when hearing both sides of a subject is very helpful. It can be used on subjects that aren't controversial and still provide insights.
Indeed they were respectful to each other while having a strong debate ! docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing
Thank you so much for these prompts - they are very helpful! 🙂 NotebookLM is most useful to me as a sounding board - there is something very...focusing...enlightening about hearing my best ideas come back to me through the voice of another person who is riffing on my idea - helps me to hear the limitations and imperfections better, especially after my mind has gone numb from poring over the ideas in my head and on paper - hearing somebody paraphrase and explain back to me what I've painstakingly written down helps me hear my own ideas "for the first time again", and once it comes back to me and it sounds like what I intended to send out, then I know I'm close to what I intended so I can trust that others will hear it that way as well, and that is magical. I really hate being misunderstood, and in this way NotebookLM helps me find peace of mind for my most important ideas. Anyway, thanks again - i'll be listening for more insights as they come available.
This is a really good use case @mbrabson1! I've done similar research brainstorming with NBLM so many times, the key is that it is focused on limited sources so you can trust the response most of the times unlike ChatGPT where you always have a doubt in mind if it's hallucinating! If you'd like to try these prompts yourself - docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing
The Portuguese language you tested is from Brazil and it sounds quite natural. I'm in love with NBLM and I think this tool will be perfect for me to start creating content, but It's been a long way since I wanna change the standard things offered by NBLM. The voices sound oversaturated, the cliches interjections and repetitive expressions are boring, so I must learn who to change them bfr creating content. Please, keep bringing us original stuff, like how to master the prompt function and the different ways to create unusual styles in it.
Impressive! I also have an effective approach for you to explore. Prompt in the chat something along the lines of - "How should I customise a podcast to discuss these sources for an expert audience? " (this could be tweaked in lots of ways) then copy this out into a note and tweak with other LLMs to get: another source note and give it a title relating to customisation; a less than 500 characters customisation prompt. Interested in feedback. Jim
That's neat, I'm going to give it a try. I have always heard people trying to customize through instructions in a source! Have you got this working effectively @Jimcrawley7363?
I just watched this video after watching the video Podcast Wars…the quality and content of your videos are better than any of the hundreds videos I have watched on RUclips on AI. High quality content, no hype. I subscribed to your RUclips channel…keep on with the good work.
this is awesome. thank you. i am using it to create unique and engaging podcasts that can supplement educational material, and i appreciate the effort put into this. i really like the quiz / game show style.

I liked the Earnings Call prompt because it showed how detailed you can prompt it for some detailed information. It also helped to see how specific your prompts can/should be.
Absolutely it has to be precise and broken to smaller chunks whenever possible! docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing
It Works well for me in Brazil. And there ARE changes of The guests. I realised that It picks UP known speakers in Brazil, sometimes there ARE 4 diferente Voices interacting. So cool. Thanks for sharing

I've listen to two of your The AI News and it's been very useful. That's why I'm subscribed now. I'm attempting to use NotebookLM to improve the short story fiction I'm writing. It's not exactly what NotebookLM was created but it still gives me some ideas and feedback. I've only been using NotebookLM for a week, so I have more to learn about how to use it. For one it would be useful if each part of NotebookLM GUI had a name attached. Then a manual that illuminates what each is used and how they interact. Is there a manual for NotebookLM? I'm a retired engineer who still loves tech. Anyway, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I found their documentation very limited hence started this knowledge sharing videos. My first video tries to demystify some of that using a diagram but not exactly what you are asking for ! Will share if I come across any! If you are interested in trying these ! docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing

Indeed, i really like how politely they were debating. It looked like VP debate ;) docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing
The one person host was very interesting. I didn't realize this could be an option. It will be a great way to add interest to my newsletter. This video was really good! The idea of prompt engineering is a game changer, thank you.
Liked that, I had never thought of generating different types of voice generation which you have done today. I have liked all the prompts and I will definitely try all of them. Please send me the doc so that I can use them as soon as possible.
Just subscribed! What an awesome video, I loved the debate and news reader one in particular. Would love to see your document on prompts and the research notes. Thank you!

Thanks for the helpful and nice video! I have been using NotebookLM for some time and find it terrific: the best tool around for research and study. I tried 9.Non-English Podcast and it also works in Italian even though the accent is Spanish. I hope it gets better! Anyway a great tool and kudos for the site as well. I would like to receive the prompts. Thank you
It's indeed going to get lot more features as competition growing in this space! docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing

If you are able to get a prompt that causes them to speak their parts, each, all at once with spaces, you will land on the holy grail. Because then the audio can be easily separated and voice changed giving people the variability they seek in tonality and voice type. Something like "the first person's mic was muted during the conversation, and then the second person's voice was muted as well" or "they were in separate sound boothes and you wind up hearing the first person speaking in booth one first, followed by the second person" -- this would be amazing.
I have seen dozens of tutorials about notebook but this is one of the most creative and best. I would like to access the document with the prompts please. I have already subscribed to the channel. And thank you for providing so much value
@The_AI_News9 I have doubts because I am new to seriously using the tool. For example, let's say I have a landing page designed and I want to improve it. Also, I have a document on 'best practices for landing page creation'. Can I upload the URL of my landing page and the document and ask Notebook to review my landing page, criticize it and suggest improvements? 2. Any tips for writing prompts for Notebook? Does it work with the same rules applied for the other models (Role, scenario, etc. etc.)? Waiting for these answers, thanks for your kindness.
This is a tough one I haven't been able to crack yet and I see this question everywhere in the community as well. It's seriously unpredictable. But one thing is clear, if you feed in small content the length is relatively small, larger the content longer the podcast. Longer also means there is vagueness, hallucinations etc., That's why in the video I recommended to summarize your long sources into meaningful small notes and then feed that into creating the podcast it should bring down the total length relatively. My high-level idea: I'm going to try to specify every topic you want them to focus from specific sources and target audience. And insist in not adding FILLER words. This way, you can approximately control how many words are going to be! Try and share if you get some success ! Good luck!
This is impressive. The one that surprised me the most was the non-English podcast. I will share this with a Spanish and a German friend. There is still the limitation of one male and one female voice. The one-voice news reader was interesting. There are techniques to add different voices, but the ones I have seen are cumbersome. Also, you only get one podcast for each Notebook. Regards from New Zealand Simon
Nice to hear that Simon, appreciate your feedback here is the doc you can share with friends! docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing

thanks for the great video. I just subscribed and like your video. My favorite prompt is the "fact or fiction" I'll use it on my spiritual channel for Bible fact or fiction. PLUS the quiz prompt. Thanks for the doc with all ten prommpts.
That was very creative. I liked them all but I think I like the Pictionary, the debate, the role playing & the quiz game. Heck I liked almost all of them. Did you see ElevenLabs Podcast? You can use different voices, really cool.
Thank you for the kind words, and yes I did see the podcast and I am pretty excited to try it out! Here is the link, docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing
I'm totally shocked about all these creative ways to "hack" Notebook LM to go "beyond" the "ABC basic podcast" thing, which it was already quite good. My favorite prompt is the quiz (all the others are impressive too, but you ask to pick only one ;-) ). I think it's very impressive to mimic the "TV quiz" format thing, the friendly back-and-forths dialogues and such, just with AI, feels like magic! I would really like to get the doc with all of those prompts, please send me it! Thanks!
Absolutely feel free to build more and share with the community! docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing
I like your creativity and thank you for the insightful video. I tested with one male voice. For a short audio, that is one voice, but for a 10min voice, in fact there are two male voices.
Hi, I really liked the Newsreader prompt and the quiz one, but they all got me thinking about new ideas I wonder if Notebook LM will eventually give us a choice of voices
Thank you for the kind words, I liked the debate as well! Here is the link to the prompts, docs.google.com/document/d/1EYd-t0os0kXOF4GE3_jQ88oDwK45hiv1x1rB95Q9vQg/edit?usp=sharing

I liked the Earnings Call prompt because it showed how detailed you can prompt it for some detailed information. It also helped to see how specific your prompts can/should be.
Absolutely it has to be precise and broken to smaller chunks whenever possible!

@The_AI_News9 - Thanks! I plan to try them!

I know doing this manually with Audacity is very painful, have you tried something like speakersplit.io/ ? @JasonZom ?

@The_AI_News9 I have doubts because I am new to seriously using the tool.
For example, let's say I have a landing page designed and I want to improve it. Also, I have a document on 'best practices for landing page creation'. Can I upload the URL of my landing page and the document and ask Notebook to review my landing page, criticize it and suggest improvements?
2. Any tips for writing prompts for Notebook? Does it work with the same rules applied for the other models (Role, scenario, etc. etc.)?
Waiting for these answers, thanks for your kindness.
My favorite prompt is role play. There is the potential to connect historical figures in a way that stimulates your imagination.
Really good idea!

Fun ideas. Have you been able to manage how long the podcast is?
Regards from New Zealand
Simon

I'm totally shocked about all these creative ways to "hack" Notebook LM to go "beyond" the "ABC basic podcast" thing, which it was already quite good.
My favorite prompt is the quiz (all the others are impressive too, but you ask to pick only one ;-) ). I think it's very impressive to mimic the "TV quiz" format thing, the friendly back-and-forths dialogues and such, just with AI, feels like magic!
