Scott, this is what I am looking for on this species, since watching your Coventry 2024 Invertebrate Show video which you bought one. In The Spider Shop it is called "Chaerlius Cimrmani", the scientific name. Now, I know more about them from this video I will get one, to go with my other scorpions and tarantulas. 😊😊
I did watch your recent live you mentioned one thing i suspected in a number of groupes i may have indeed been muted 🤪 it certainly makes you question the intention’s of some within the hobby with this in mind times are tight at the min and imho we should be looking at helping people out with cost effective methods to not deter people from the hobby which is why I’ve been thinking setting a groupe up where all are more than welcome. Happy keeping and all the interesting stuff that comes with it just to point one out that sticks out a lot the different colours patterns which imo we can all relate to. There is a huntsmen that uses what can best be described as a trapdoors hide makes me wonder if said huntsmen spotted a trapdoor one day and said to itself why didn’t i think of that🤪
Do you use any type of heating for these. Thinking about picking one of these or a Chaerilus stockmannorum. Also, what wattage should I keep heat Matt’s at for scorpions. Thanks in advance Scott.
Hey, I use a oil fed radiator on stat keeps the whole room around 28 at the top of the racks 22 at the bottom, these guys I keep at 26, if your going to use a heat mat put it on the side of enclurse with a stat set at 26 so the scorpion can go from 26 at one end to a cool area so the other side of enclours, these are tiny scores I would look at the smallest matt you can find
Ive found this video cause i search about chaerilus scorpions...i took two chaerilus scorpionlings and i have them together ...seem to be good...i was in store and help the seller cleaning when i saw two boxes with babies and their mothers ..so i took two chaerilus same size...is there possibility kill each other when grow up?i see you say mot comminal but i took them from tiny slings... that's why i thought maybe its ok
@@ScottsInverts no you mentioned that too but started with Fahrenheit, it makes me sad and parts of me ache :-( Thanks anyway for the video, really useful (other than the Fahrenheit bit)

@@ScottsInverts im already in👍
I had a male Emperor scorpion years ago. I remember watching it sting my husband. I told him to leave it alone. He said it was like a bee sting.
Bet you got it really cheap too
@@ScottsInverts probably it was a long time ago
@@ScottsInverts I want to get an invert that's an omnivore. Any suggestions?
Ants ? Or isopods some beetles ? Giant katydid
@@ScottsInverts I was thinking about getting a Madagascar Hissing cockroach
They are tiny scorpions I imagine you need a magnifine glass to see the babies. But like you said great to have smaller species.
3.5cm in length still amazing Emma
Brilliant video now back to Valhalla series 2 lol

@@ScottsInverts Thanks Scott for the help! Very helpful. I have one more question. Do regular lamps work well for them? Like house lamps.
@user-rq6tw5jd1n I would not think so, house lights tend to be led so low heat output tbh
How often do you spray the box
Monitor it every few days and spray of needed
@@ScottsInverts ah I thought it would be more as they require high humidity

Might work, I'd be interested in a up date in a few months then again in a year, be interesting to see of this works
Why are you talking in Fahrenheit?
Prob just forgot to mention in Celsius as well as
@@ScottsInverts no you mentioned that too but started with Fahrenheit, it makes me sad and parts of me ache :-(
