    • @SpaceboyBilliards
      @SpaceboyBilliards 5 лет назад +276

I used to do that, as well. I started to learn by experience that doing so will result in a restart to the whole REM sleep cycle and screw up your body's routine. Just wake up when your body naturally tells you to, even if it's an hour before your alarm is set. The exception is being awoke by a noise, or to pee, then you can go back to sleep.

1- breaking down big goals into small ones
2- believing that you can accomplish your goals
3- believe that you have tons of willpower
4- change identity. Don’t identify with the bad habit.
5- think more long term and general concerning goals.

Instead of spending your time thinking about things, just do them, one at a time.
I have a nasty habit of thinking "i should do this and that today", which increases my anxiety because the brain feels overwhelmed with pending tasks.
I've been working on substituting these thoughts with "first, i'm doing only this, even if it's only for 5 minutes". Besides these tips, it's been working so far.

Hi Improvement Pill! I bought a special notebook for your courses, I already wrote 30 pages for the Tamed course, writting almost every sentence you say. I'll be starting the Bee Friend course once i'm done! Your course helped me so much. I first used the techniques for smaller habits, like drinking a cup of water first thing on the morning, and I saw how automacity and willpower are real! Currently I'm a replacing masturbation in excericse. I'm a week in, and I use everything I've learned. I can't thank you enough for this amazing content and videos, for how straight to the point you are and how motivational this whole channel is. Thank you!

Omg, My will power is extremely strong, since 8th grade. I was depressed in 8th grade, i would strongly tell my I wasnt depressed when id breakdown. Im just going thru a sad moment. By me telling myself this, it cured my depression very quickly, and i never knew I was depressed till i look back at it. Telling yourself things like that, anything is possible, and im only 15

D Savage if you were able to cure your depression this easily then you might didn’t have it in the first place. Did you self-diagnose or was diagnosed professionally by a psychologist?

Awesome video. The best advice is the advice you recognize and have experienced working before.
This video made me aware of 2 things that I use in combination.
    1. Low thresholds. You call it chunking, I call it taking the first step om a march.
    2. High Level Thinking. You use a vision or a high level goal to motivate you to take that first, tiny step.
    Thanks for a great video.

The problem with chunkier is after finishing small tasks it feels like you finished the job and you no longer want to do it anymore

Magd Nusair i use this technique at work for year or something. I think. Just one more. After that i think same way because i know i can continue tomorow but when i continue tomorow i need todo more. It's called balancing your workdays or to today what you dont want todo tomorow.

Chunking really helps me with my workout. Especially when I increase the weight. It's psychologically better not to count 15 times when you make a repetition/exercises but it's much more effective to count 3 times until 5.
100 sit ups seem like a lot. But 4 times 25 sound easier.

Chunking works... when I do cardio, as I run I just say to myself ok five more minutes after every five minute's. This helps me to just keep running longer.
