My partners mother never accepted me, 6 years after being with him his mum thought I was just not good enough for him and he didn’t fight for me, it’s just heartbreaking how a person can be judged soo quickly.
I was thrilled when my son found a woman to love and marry! Now I have wonderful grandsons,a beautiful daughter in law! I don't understand how people can be so selfish!!
I don't get why parents take advantage of their kids lovelife just for the sake of their reputation and family tradition 😡. Love is Love and u can't change that
I don't think they do it for their reputation. Most parents think the woman or significant other is just for the money and may deceive their children later.
My mom does it as well and she's always telling me to grow up and forget about a guy I'm very very close with and start to have contact with my old (rich) childhood friend who ignored me when he was with his other friends and she just doesn't seem to get it that I love the other guy But that's just life :(
The problem with a lot of mums is that they use their children as a comfort tool and forgets that her children arent her property; theyre only her responsibility, and her responsibility is to raise them to be decent human beings who will build their own life one day.
I few bad for you but not all are like this some are nice :) just ignore her if she isn’t my mother in law doesn’t know English but we try the best we can to speak to each other every day and I still find a way to tell on my husband 😂
I agree ,,don't live close to your in law's ,,you will pay a heavy price if you do ,believe me if I could turn back time ,,I would live on the other side of the planet
I’ve been going through this for about 3 years now so it’s all good. At this point I just laugh this woman is bitter and if she was nice I could help her out but since she’s the way she is...oh well. By the way I’m black and my husband is white so I’m not sure if race is in it.
Some mothers in law would not even feel bad. Some would try to hide the letter and twist the situation to suit their views.. some mothers are just too obsessed with their children 🙄
@Vivian Lomotey I am a mother to three adult boys and being that obsessed with your child is not healthy or good for anyone. If your children do not fall they will not learn to fly. Yes it hurts bad to watch them fall but all you can do is be there encouraging them and guiding them on how to get right back up again. Being as overbearing as the mother in this video will only hurt your child more than a bad relationship would have.
Kaveeda Jackson sometimes things aren’t just black and white. She just wanted her son to be happy after all, she genuinely thought the wife was a good digger and of course that’s her mistake, and she should have let the wife actually talk, but that doesn’t mean she’s a bad person. She apologized sincerely as well
From early as 15 years old, I've told my mom that when I get married never to use her leverage as the mother-in-law to abuse my wife because my first duty as a husband is to protect my wife. That means no criticism of whether the pot needs more salt or pepper, or if the photos on the wall aren't exactly straight or how the furniture should be arranged in my house. Mothers need to understand that they already had their chance with our fathers and now it's our turn to enjoy our wives. Also you can't love your mother the same way that you love your wife because you cannot sleep with your mother, nor is your wife your mother so there is no reason to be jealous because the love for each is different in its own way and there should be mutual respect between the two women. Men who don't understand that are weaklings.
@@tracyjacksonjackson4221 it's not just a matter of learning but more of personality. In the same token that personally is hard to express itself when you have an overbearing mother. So don't be that kind of mother to him because the results could be disastrous.
@@alexzander1839 You said that you expressed to your mom that she had to respect your choice of a mate as early as 15 years old. My son expressed to me at age four that he was a man. His exact words: I'm a man mama.". I was pleased to hear that because I had been praying for the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to raise a good man. His father and I are divorced and he's not around so my son's father figure is Jesus. I have no desire to raise a Mama's boy. I married one and it didn't work partly because mommy wouldn't let go. Hubby couldn't tell her to. Even when he knew I was leaving. So, when I say I hope he learns as well as you did I mean that he listens when I teach him what he needs to know about being a Godly man and choosing a hopefully Godly woman. When he is grown I will step back and expect him to make his own decisions and deal with whatever difficulties that come with marriage with God and his wife. My role will be to send prayers to them and that's it. I'm not gambling here. This is how I'm raising my son. I WILL not be my daughter in law's competition. I want my son and his wife to be happy in love. The Bible says a man shall leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife. That is exactly what I teach him and that is exactly what I expect him to do.
My mother in-law : Get out! Your cheating my son! Me : WELL I DON'T SEE YOU ANY NICER SO WHY DON'T YOU GET OUT HUH?! My husband : Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👏👏
She left cause his mother wouldn’t accept her as a daughter in law who didn’t know how to speak Spanish so she left and put a letter explaining everything that wanted her to know about her and even told the mother to return the ring to her son that she left with letter, the mother realized that was controlling her sons life after she read the letter
@@Unwebonnn REAL MEN know when to put their parents in check! Had he done that, he would be married today. WOMEN and BOYS don't go together! GOOD FOR HER! MEN TAKE CHARGE!!!!

Bc it makes the other person feel bad. I type like that most of the time when I'm in a hurry or I just feel like it. If it's a small mistake you could point it out I guess but still.
Real life. Boyfriend's mom purposely fed the girlfriend food she was allergic to because she was jealous. As she watched her son rush his girlfriend to the hospital because she's in physical pain, the mom kept quiet. At the hospital, the mom confessed but claims she believed the girlfriend was lying about being allergic. The girlfriend ends all contact with him and his family. The boyfriend writes to advice columnist on how to get her back. He says his mom even paid for the hospital bill but she won't see him. Reply was succinct. Surviving a plot to be murdered gives girlfriend plenty of solid reasons to avoid narcissistic people like him. Not once does he take responsibility or express remorse. I'd say be thankful to not marry a Mama's boy.
@@manotodoroki3314 forewarned is forearmed. If while dating, your boyfriend (or girlfriend) believes any bad actions by his mom must be forgiven, there's no future in the relationship. This guy seriously believed his girlfriend should forget the past and continue dating him.

Aww just the fact that you'd make a RUclips comment about how great they are shows what an incredible and loving mother in law you must be. They're lucky to have you. Most MIL are extremely critical and looking for faults.
Toilbaby awe that’s so sweet. Yeah my mother in law and I had a really rocky start but we’re doing better. I’d like to get closer to her but idk there’s that mom element and I feel like she gets the wrong idea about me a lot. For instance she thought I was agoraphobic because I stay inside a lot. The real reason I don’t go out as often is because of my hair texture being kinky curly, I can’t manipulate my hair everyday so I usually don’t go out as much. I will however style my hair more often when it reaches the length I’m trying to reach. Until then I’m trying to avoid over manipulating my hair. If I had straight hair it wouldn’t be different.

llch21260 True. They should only get involved if it’s a choice an adult is supposed to make. For example, wether or not to allow their kids to drive in the highway with little to no driving experience.
@@noonebossesthegarnet2890 Though being an adult doesn’t necessarily make one immune to making mistakes. Age has little to do with it than actual experience and ability. No one size fits all age. No matter what one’s age might be, making mistakes is inevitable and it’s a part of life, because learning is a part of life. And we never stop learning, no matter how old we are. One can be of a younger age and still experience a plethora of things that the majority of people in their age group usually don’t. One can even be in their 50’s and still lack experience in certain areas of life that those younger than them have experienced. People discriminate but life doesn’t. And like with everything else, if you drive a car without (and sometimes even with) the proper training and guidance, there’s always a chance that you could crash and hurt yourself. My late former stepfather started to drive when he was 10, and he was fine. To help an inexperienced person, it’s not really done by hovering over them, controlling them, sheltering them, and running ahead of them at every turn to keep them from making the mistakes they need to make in order to learn, grow and develop in their life. Regardless of age or experience, life’s going to be throwing all sorts of curveballs at you and if you don’t develop the skills to deal with those early on, it won’t just magically appear when you turn 18. It doesn’t work like that. It’s a skill one needs to develop and hone over time, as they live their lives. It’s better to learn that skill earlier on, so when one does become older, they’ll be better equipped to make those “adult decisions” when they do reach that age. If decisions have been made for them their whole life prior to that, they won’t know how to make those decisions anyways because they would lack the practice and knowledge in doing so. The skills of self-accountability and self-sufficiency are crucial survival skills to have in life, that one cannot live without. By sheltering them, one would stunt their ability to grow and strengthen as individuals. Even if you were to prevent them from making a mistake at one moment, they’ll likely make it later in their life anyways, if they don’t learn about them and why they shouldn’t make them. There will be moments of uncertainty in our lives. And no matter how hard you try to avoid it, you can’t. No matter what you do, you can’t necessarily guarantee a certain outcome (at least not always). You can only do your best, hope for the best and deal with whatever comes the best way you can. Life is scary, painful and messy sometimes. And there’s always a chance that things won’t turn out how you want them to. But holding them back to due to personal insecurities, and to make one's life easier isn’t beneficial or fair to them. Helping them will take strength and courage. It will require you to overcome your fears, step out of your comfort zones and to face things that you’re scared to or don’t know how to face. But doing so, not only helps them to grow but it also helps you to grow as well. You can’t lock yourself up and make yourself completely safe because it’s not possible. You can say your piece as to why you think something might or might not be best for them, but as the captains of their own ship, it’s on them to make the final call. You can only do what you can on your end but it’s on them to do what they gotta do on theirs. You can’t steer their ship for them, only they can. Our lives will always be in our own hands and as individuals, we will always be the ones that are the most responsible for our lives, happiness, and well-being. To help them, you should do it by guiding them and supporting them through their journey in life and the bumps(the obstacles of learning and growing) in the road that comes with it, while still acknowledging and respecting their position as the captains of their own ship; by having faith in them and teaching them how to have faith in themselves, especially during times that they or others around them don’t, because it’s the what keeps us resilient in life. It’s what fuels our motivation to survive and keep going. Without it, we won’t, no matter who or what’s around us. The ability to keep going in life has to come from within. They can’t simply and only rely on external support. They need to develop and find that support within themselves, over time. Otherwise, they’re just walking on crutches and that’s not really walking. We start with training wheels but over time, we need to wean ourselves off of it. If you just suddenly get off that crutch when you reach a certain age, you won’t be able to walk anyways, if you haven’t previously learned how to do so, prior to that event. If one truly wants to help the inexperienced, they should stick by them and support them, through all the trials and tribulations, no matter how scared or uncertain one may be feeling about any given circumstances surrounding them and the person(s) involved. And through showing them that faith and support, it will help them to develop that inner support they need to be able to carry and support themselves through their lives, when one day their external support crumbles and they come to a point in life where they need to pick themselves back up and keep going.
It was SOOOO HEART-BREAKING for the future daughter-iniaw!!!! I hope the mother-in-law was kicking herself for the way she treated her once the truth was learned!! And I hope she treat her better.

Some mothers in law would not even feel bad. Some would try to hide the letter and twist the situation to suit their views.. some mothers are just too obsessed with their children 🙄
N.Q Female Rapper Yeah...mothers -in-laws with sons!
It shows how the mother was just trying to be a good person
@@ishitajain485 She's not a great person if she doesn't see that she just broke her son's heart.

I hope my son learns as well as you did.😊
@@tracyjacksonjackson4221 it's not just a matter of learning but more of personality.
@@tracyjacksonjackson4221 I'm glad that women with your mindset exist and that your son didn't follow into his tather's footsteps.

Daughter in law did herself a huge favor by leaving! No one needs that drama!

I have the worst hair for living in the South. I wear hats a lot. Saves me time and I’m no longer using much heat/etc.
Toilbaby that’s a good idea actually

llch21260 True. They should only get involved if it’s a choice an adult is supposed to make. For example, wether or not to allow their kids to drive in the highway with little to no driving experience.
@@noonebossesthegarnet2890
Though being an adult doesn’t necessarily make one immune to making mistakes.
