Yeah, this story was a mess lol if you line the logic up together. They could have easily took out the physical abuse part because it doesn’t line up with the rest of the video at all lol. That’s exactly what I was thinking, it doesn’t occur to Jessie at all that she’s abusive and that that’s not how you should treat a kid if you really want one lol.
I don't think it's necessarily contradictory. A lot of kidnappers like this nanny typically have a very possessive, intense obsession, so while she does love her it's not that unexpected that she's also abusive. and same for Talia, they mentioned she's grown up with her. Little kids can both love their abusive guardians and be scared of them at the same time
Imagine all the trouble that could have been saved for Jessie if she & her husband knew that they could have adopted an orphan if having their own baby was impossible. Then again, based on how she treats Talia, I don't think she should ever be allowed near a child ever again. She will not live very long in prison.
@@fadhilalucky3466 blood doesn’t matter in family if you don’t want to adopt a toddler then get in contact with a pregnant woman who doesn’t wanna keep the child but is ready to give birth or adopt a newborn baby but Ig kidnapping someone else’s kid just so you can get your “blood child” is a better option

I'm surprised they didn't use a younger child to play Talia. This actress would know better than to write on the walls, and she's almost as tall as "her parents."
I like how Jessie doesn’t seem to think that being abusive to a kid is a bad thing lol. It’s a little bit odd because wanting a child and being abusive doesn’t go hand in hand lol.
Her story is sad, but nothing excuses her for what she did. There are other alternatives. Also, this story does have a point: be careful who you trust. This is why every babysitter I've had have been teenagers of people my parents know well.
The fact that she so much as thought of spanking a kid let alone did it she doesn’t deserve to be a parent and she deserves every bad thing she’s been through
Honestly, I think parents should stop telling kids the story of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf." Because it's flawed. It doesn't matter if a child's honesty is of ill repute or not, every time a child cries out "Danger! Danger! Danger!" adults need to listen and take some kind of action.
@IG Westcoast I didn't say we shouldn't teach our kids not to lie, I'm saying we shouldn't use an old fairy tale that might teach kids that no one will help them when there is genuine danger afoot.
