I got a question? I’m in marching in high school but my high school recently opened so my schools marching band isn’t that experienced but we’re alright but the question is how do drumlines know where to go when marching in the lot. Theirs no lines at all.
the tech makes it up in rehearsal when you're in your little drumline block. It's supposed to somewhat resemble your dots on the field by memorizing what direction you go in and doing windows and all that good stuff. It's just up to your tech if he/she wants to do that.
Jrdrummaster16 it seems like there is very consistent dirt from the tenor section. they don’t line up with each other often and even when they are clean within their section they tend to stick out of the ensemble. That being said they are definitely smoking clean at points in the show it’s just not as consistent as other lines. I like the beats tho

Its based off dril movements, and through experience you can know how much 8 steps forward or 4 steps right are.
Yep! Plus if you haven’t learned it yet, the importance of an “8 to 5 step.”
