Really love the videos, I wait for them to inspire goals for me to keep playing as well as condense the sheer number of builds down. I do want to mention that I think lounging thrust is I think .7 status damage per hit coming out to 210 para per use. Not to be nitpicky but you might find some insight for new builds by looking at status rates for moves.
Good to hear you're enjoying the content ^_^ I usually factor in all numbers, multipliers, etc.. but seems i missed that one then 🤔 Thx for pointing it out. But if it's .7 then it would come out to 105 Para per use. Not sure were you're getting the 210 (That would be 1.4 per hit).
I often forget how fun & satisfying Lance can feel to play, then i pick it up and imidetly go "ooh! yeah that's why i like poking monsters so much" xD Hope you'll enjoy it when you try it out ^_^

i used to run speed sharpening with either masters touch 3 or protective polish but i found that heaven sent 1 is all you need to maintain sharpness on lance because I just dont get hit ever. Also the extra stamina from heaven sent is neat on lance too

Picking one specific Element out of those 3, I would have to say Thunder. But that would still be quite impractical with so many different Weaknesses spread across all monsters. Though if you make a Thunder & Ice Lance first, you should have good coverage for almost any fight. With that said, Element realy does shine when you have all of them at your disposal ^^
I dont even play lance, but being an absolute unit of a hunter and tanking things like no other is what i always wanted to do. Maybe i go from king of the skies to unbreakable defense
That's honestly what pulls me into playing Lance sometimes! Being a mobile wall that can tank everything can be realy satisfying ! 😄 + the dps is starting to get pretty good now after the latest updates!
Does It make sense to go for poison damage +3 on the poison lance? Or did It already reach its limit? I know its max 30dmg but It lowers the required hits to apply poison
Going for extra Poison Attack is as almost never worth it. The only weapon that gets decent value out of it is Dual Blades. (And ofc is you have free slots left over, it's a decent option aswell^^)
What you're talking about is "Hellfire Cloak" 😄 "Mail of Hellfire" gives you additional ATK Boost in exchange for a bit of Defense. They are 2 very different Skills^^
guard 3 is comfy if you aren’t using insta block, but with insta block and anchor rage guard isn’t necessary at all. guard up depends on if the monster has any unblockable attacks, if youre not sure I would just run guard up one as a baseline for these attacks.

If you like using the Switch Skills Anchor Rage & Insta Block, then you wont need any Guard Skills beside 1 Lv of Guard up if you want to block "unblockable" Attacks aswell. Those 2 moves have Max Guard capability by nature without using any Levels of Guard. That said, there are still some Attacks like the Flaming Espinas Nova and the R.Valstrax Ambush for example that are truely unblockable even with Guard up. Aside from that Guard Lv 3 is a good basline to start out for conventional guarding (holding your shield up ahead off time and bracing for the attack).
This is absolutely awesome, you put some good work into making this and one can clearly see it. I just started using lance and this was very helpful. I just did myself that para lance you showcased here and I feel comfortable with that. If I were to ask a question, why do you spam leaping thrust only whenever you have the chance (monster ko, flinch, para proc) instead of the leaping thrust + charged slash combo? I've seen some youtubers perform one or the other without having idea which one is better.

Atm the right answer would be that it doesnt have 1 specific "best" use :D - As the main high dps optioin in Element Builds. - As general repositioning Tool. - To quickly apply Status dmg. - As combo extension or transition. - As a general spam option to conserve Sharpness (Leaping Thrust does 3 Hits, but only costs 1 Sharpness Unit)
For Velkhana Lance just use the first Build and add Ice attack Lv 5. Only add more Elemental Skill Decos if you still have room in the Build after that. 1 Lv of Element Exploit would be next, then Crit Element (But dont worry about it if you cant fit those in anymore).
No problem at all! Untill you get access to the Risen Valstrax Greaves you can just run the Ingot Legs. Might have to adjust the Talisman though, depending on if you're over shooting the ATK Lv 7 Boost. The Flaming Espinas Legs are always a solid choice aswell with good Slotage.
That's a super easy answer for Lance: Whatever fits your personal playstyle the most. They all have very different usage so the best thing will be to experiment for a bit. The one recommendation would be to defenitely try out insta block for a while, since that can fundamentaly change the playstyle.
There are a few small changes, but nothing crazy. There will likely be a Endgame Builds Video for Lance aswell. One change that will be a part of those Builds is running the R.Shagaru Waist & adding Coalescence into the Builds.
That's because the actual value we get from the Skills in terms of DPS, gets wildy outperformed by the other things we can add insted. So in short - it's just not worth it saldy.
It will depend on how you are guarding. If you only use the Switch Skills like Anchor Rage or Insta Block for guarding, you wont need the guard skill. But if you like to play Turtle style (hiding behind shield tactic), then having Guard Lv 3 or more is very usefull.
Why does AB always have priority over CE? Shouldn't I be concerned with reaching 100 critical chance before I start to slot attack? Edit: For the talisman that is.
This is realy confusing me lol There isnt a single Build in the Video that prioritizes AB over Crit Eye 😄Affinity based Skills always come first for Lance. And for why AB is the prefered Talisman choice alot of the times, is simply because we have extremly effecient Armor Pieces with Crit Eye, wich have unbeatable value right now. So choosing Crity Eye on the Talisman doesnt make much sense in most cases, as you would be loosing out on extra Skill points that you could have gotten.

So I wonder if the fact that I have shit rank is why I don't take CE for granted. That and having guard 5, embolden 3 and Guard up 3 all at the same time is my definition of comfy.

Raw Lance, meaning Blast/Poison + Buildup Boost is definitely viable 👍🏽 It just comes down to your own personal preference and monster match ups. But if you mean pure Raw Lances (No Status or Element) those fall behind quite a bit now!

It's not tha big off a difference though so you can run a Raw Build for now without worrying 👍🏽 If you're making the Blast/Poison Build here you can use the Flaming Espinas or Ingot Legs in place of the Risen Valstrax Legs untill you get access to them.

I think the thing preventing people from using Lance is the slow movement when drawn.
