that was pretty awesome, it's like a 2d version to the Arkham games, pretty well thought out using the same control schemes. Guess I can see this story later after playing Arkham Origins on ps3 comes out.

One thing I don't like about the Arkhamverse so far is that Batman and Gordon does not meet and forge their relationship when they are fighting the corrupt police, politicians, government officials, and underground mafia but rather the "freak" criminals like Black Mask etc... I think what gave the depth of their relationship was the fact that they were the only two guys (3 if you count Harvey) fighting against the system in a city corrupted to its core.
I'm so excited for this. Thinking that a 3D version would be cool, but I already have AC for that. 2.5D is a new experience. And this might come up well.
first i didn't wanna buy the vita but when they announced batman for the vita i got excited and bought the vita and im impressed the gameplay looks epic
It was long known that this game will be more like Metroid than open world and Arkham Asylum (which is also a prison, like Blackgate) also had more of a Metroid-style, so I don't get why people suddenly complain about this. I think it looks great and I'm definitely looking forward to getting two new, great Batman games at the same time.
They said that this is just an opening to the game the actual meat of the game will be open world and you can choose were you go and what you do first.
Both completely fair points, I think what's really bothering people is that this doesn't look like a quality/fun game, the hatred doesn't stem from the fact that this isn't the full game, it's the answer to the question 'What could they have done that isn't this?'
Apparently so. But critics have doubted the frame rate and visual quality of the 3DS version. I doubt that matters a big amount to you anyway on such a small screen.

This will make up for Mirror of Fate on the 3DS! I still enjoyed Castlevania Mirror of Fate, it was just really easy... Blackgate looks fantastic and challenging!
Looks pretty good. Excited that people are servicing the vita and not just sending ports of console games. Just hope the vita get some exclusives one day
It's not the comics, but the games are based in the comics, hence the amount of villains and easter eggs in both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Surely after seven years she would have changed outfits at least once.
I know this isn't the same as a full console version but Arkham Origins is looking like DLC for Arkham City. Most people that have Vita also have a 360 or PS3 so would play the console version on one of those, so it's good to have a different experience on handheld. It looks fresh. This, Killzone Mercenary, Tearaway and The Walking Dead will keep me busy until PS4 launches. Vita is looking strong for Xmas 2013.

I was gonna buy it either way, but now I'm a bit more enthusiastic for it. It looks like a lot of effort was put into it, and as much as I think this game could most definatly have been in 3d, it might not have had as good of graphics as this does, and who knows, might be great... obviously gonna be better than Arkham City Lockdown.

There are several great games out now, with Uncharted, Assassins Creed, Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice and so on. There's Killzone and TearAway on the way. Also, Gamescom is a month later and its promised to be a Vita-centric show.
I've got my fingers crossed for blackgate, becase so far no Vita game has managed to amaze me yet. I mean, good games are on it but nothing has compelled me to play it again.
It's not being lazy. Just because a system or console can do a open world 3D game, doesn't mean that every single game has to follow the same way. Uncharted does look fantastic, but it's very linear. You also sometimes HAVE to sacrifice certain things so other aspects of the game don't suffer. Such as framerate, AI, lighting, and date usage, etc. I think they went the right route with this design and style.

Keep in mind this is also for 3DS, which doesn't have the same capability. So they had to tone down the amount of memory they used.

People need to remember that it's a hand held version and for hand held devices such as 3ds and ps vita it looks pretty good so quite complaining
