Thank you so much for the lesson! 💕 It's triggered me to cheer up and remember a fantastic practice on making up stories with including some idioms.😊
Outstanding natural beauty ran in Ann's family. But she was considered to be a black sheep in her family as she was capricious and arrogant. Since her youth she had good timing by cherry-picking the most affluent and influential men in her town. Ann relished her "queen" status and the girl wasn't in a hurry to tie the knot because was sure time was on her side. Having said that, as it usually happens, at one point Ann realised that she was working against the clock, as male attention and interest in her had woren off. Once she was standing in front of the mirror looking at herself. Seeing her reflection gave her spot-on food for thought:" Oh, my goodness! It seems to me, time flies at the speed of light! In the blink of an eye I have turned into a wrinkled penny-pincher. I have neither a shred of fortune, nor a male shoulder to cry on, nor a close-knit. I wish I would have anyone joined at my hip except my cat!"
    😊
