thank you, thank you, thank you ...for giving the gen1 cruze a chance for some fun and performance..... hope you add a performance throttle body and performance radiator like the Sonic
My friend at work had a stage 4 cobalt ss and sheard his axels that were also top of the line. He traded it for a m3. The whole cobalt vehicle was to weak
It's sad the 1.4t luv is detuned stock. It handles a decent ammount on mostly stock internals. They could've entered wrc if they wanted with either the Trax or encore with their awd or fwd options. They are the size of a Ford focus rs hatchback just less power.
After watching this whole series, I think I’d do everything except the cams and springs (personally not comfortable enough with myself to not screw something as critical as internals up). Everything else? 100% i’d do. Would be nice to give my Cruze this bump in power for the everyday. So frustrating that at highway speeds that there’s not much that you can do if you need the power because it’s pretty much maxed out around 80ish
I have a Cruze LS just sitting in the back that ran when it was parked. Been thinking about getting a salvage title for it and rebuilding it like this.
Unfortunately there's very little to know performance improvement with the upgraded lnf throttle body on the stock intake manifold. Now the Racer X intake manifold has a port matched LNF throttle body and I can see an actual performance gain with that intake manifold.
I have no problem running Deatschwerks 60# injectors with gas on my 15 Cruze. It would be worth looking at the minimum injector pulse. If you turn off the code for the fuel pump you can also turn down the fuel pressure at low demand.
No, the intake cam on the LNF has the fuel pump lobe for the high pressure fuel pump, would interfere with the head casting if you tried to put an intake cam on the exhaust side.
One. The upgraded cam goes on your intake valves. You then take your stock intake cam and put it on your exhaust valves. You then take your exhaust cam and throw it away far out into a field or make a lamp out of it or something
"baby gains" but they basically doubled the power in a cheap, easily attainable car. You could have this for like 10-15k including the car, that sounds pretty budget Labor would definitely gonna fuck some people who are afraid of wrenches though. But nothing is ever gonna be cheap for them anyway because they're gonna pay extra no matter what car they drive
That and the stock 125 to the wheels with a automatic was an anomaly he even pointed it out. Typically the auto ones are 105 to 110 at the wheels. My 2015 manual Cruze feels like a rocket with cams, intake porting, V3 turbo, E85 and tuning. Running 20 to 21 psi of boost you cant get traction in first or second gear at full throttle.

I agree
It is sad that GM didn't build on the success of the Cobalt SS.

@whitemike1221able zzp is figuring out the platforms for this one though so far so good engine at least
i'm curious to how the trans is gonna hold up 🤔
been waiting for this content ❤cruze nation

What's next for this car? I'm loving this series.
Thanks for watching! We might swap it to Flex Fuel/E85, but we want to see how much power it can make before that.
Can expect the same from the 1.6T holden cruze sriv?
Where is the throttle body upgrade? Would love to see if that really does anything.
These are the exact parts in my zzp cart I am too 🐔 to purchase! Well, I added the e85 and pcv kits, too
Sounds like a plan!

Can you use two cams one exhaust and one inlet side or won’t it work hope to hear back thanks ryan
I have 2012 Cruze LTZ RS auto. I was wondering, is it possible to convert to manual 🤔
Awesome build !
Price of the build at this point plus labor?
How're the headgaskets on these engines?
Wish the 3800s made power this easy
Wish 3800s had a transmission that would allow this power😂
@@ethanvink1710 gotta modify the transmission for sure, broke my stock transmission 3x🤦♂️
4t80 swap I just did one all it took wiring wise was a relay.
@@vincequast8745 4t80 on a 3800?
@@PhillyDee215 yes pm I’ll send you pic an videos
Are you going to make the larger throttle body kit to suit the cruze?

I know this is probably a dumb question but how deep in the hole is this build so far? $
You guys going to do any more videos on this.
How much roughly for all those mods in the list
Now I want to put valve springs and cams in my Fusion 2.0 ecoboost 😅
Can you buy two of this cans and replace both to this cams
What tool do you use for the cam
how did you get the 60# injectors working? they ran so rich for me. I bought42#

The Ecotec 1.4T Is a really stout engine! The crank, Block, head. has yet to fail!
Yeah, it’s just everything around the engine that fails. Just put in a $300 rockauto order for miscellaneous fixes😂
Is the stage 1 cam compatible in the 1.8L engine??
It is not, our cams are only for the 1.4L engine.
What about 1.6
Can moving the intake cam to the exhaust work on an HHR SS too?
No, the intake cam on the LNF has the fuel pump lobe for the high pressure fuel pump, would interfere with the head casting if you tried to put an intake cam on the exhaust side.
I need that T-shirt!
What are the odds you guys mid a 1.8 gen 1 Cruze
Mod
I want to see this with Water/Methanol injection as a supporting mod
We've got E85 available, so that'll be the next video. Since we have E so readily available we don't use meth/water injection often here.
So do you buy two cams r one
One. The upgraded cam goes on your intake valves. You then take your stock intake cam and put it on your exhaust valves. You then take your exhaust cam and throw it away far out into a field or make a lamp out of it or something
@@BDenes24can you run two of this cams tho
Now how much did all these parts cost to make that up? Probably could have just bought a faster car to start lol
What do you think this car would run in the 1/4 with a good set of tires?....cough and Canadian 91 octane cough.... Lol
Our auto Sonic with similar mods ran a low 13 on drag radials. Canadian 91 though? eeeeek. It's basically akin to our 87 octane here 😢
@@gbrunner24 it's painful hearing just how bad our gas is. I hate to think how far it would actually pull the timing back to be safe.
Canada is a dystopia.
only 244😂 could be better for the price and shit talking😂 you’re a good 60hp short and already fbo🥲
Lol c'mon budget build? 🤣 just in parts $4k-5k for baby power gains? Imagine a average Joe to pay all that labor work
