You missed the sweetie pie! It's a miniature version of the chocolate log the fruit roll is called padkos as in put ko(as you would say oreo) s
It is known as road trip food
Beacon is a proud sa brand you had fizzers on the Australian box that come from us MN ade by Beacon.
Speckeled eggs are weird but everyone like them.
Barone comes in different varients like peanut and plain
We also prefer Cadbury to Beacon and Nestlé Slabs
Bars are a different story. Each brand has their own favorite.
Peppermint Crisp is something we use often in a cream dessert with cooked condensed milk and whipping cream with a grahm cracker like crust.
Chomp is a cheaper version of chocolate that is usually given to little kids at parties its not a favorite and is a bit waxie
Scenties, are the weirdest, they are perfume flavored. It's like you messed perfume on a winegum
Rascal aren't popular anymore years back they went off the market and returned a few years later but being completely different. 😔.
You have literally tried almost half of the local sweets we get we don't have as much as bigger countries.
It's like we maybe have half an isle of sweets and a quarter isle of cereals and a quarter of cookies and biscuits.

In South Africa, Cadburys is our top chocolate. Then Nestle then beacon. Beacon to me tastes artificial. Usually those fake tasting chocolate Easter eggs (those plain milk chocolate ones that's hollow inside) are beacon chocolate. Happy you enjoyed all our goodies

The rascals come in berry flavors too. We also have chocolate coated jelly tots. The tea is pronounced 'roy-bos' with a sharp 'R' sound and you won't find it anywhere else in the world. Glad you guys enjoyed it. The PS chocolates have different messages written on them too.

Love your descriptions and reviews, Just for information, we also have fruit and nut Cadbury chocolate here so no cashew and coconut isn't the alternative. Secondly the barone comes in a bigger size also. The beacon chocolates are cheaper and less creamy you are correct. Rooibos tea means red Bush tea.. We drink Ceylon tea or Rooibos. And lastly we also get normal shaped jellytots(same as the sour ones you tried )

Rascals used to be a hugely popular candy from around 1996 to early 2000's but the company went out of business. They used to be much bigger and more chewy. Only in the last 4 years have they been back in the stores but to those who remember them from their childhood they sadly aren't the same :)

Chomps, the chockie that's at the cheaper end, is always placed at the register and by the time a mother has walked through the store and her kid has asked for every single item, she just throws that in the trolley to shut him up already. Same for Nik Naks and Oros pre mixed bottles fall in the same cheap/shut your child up category.
