    I watch a lot of videos on you tube (like everyone trying to increase distance) but I think out of all the top youtubers this video really makes sense for the average golfer. great video keep it up.

    Keep making videos. There is a ton of info out there, but you deliver a simplistic clarity that keeps me from getting in my head too much and over thinking. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.

      I'm glad you are keeping a more clear mind. Tough to do it with conscious thinking playing much of a part (no fun either).

    Thanks for the great video. Snapping the towel confirms that the hands are active and in front, but the wrists very relaxed.

    Very similar to Jack. I love the old school nice long free flowing swing that I try to copy))) Thanks for share

      @@Scratchgolfacademy Your welcome. It wasnt only I scrapped modern swing to the old school swing I saw results. Nice high hands ,long coiled swing, lift the heel and watch the ball fly!

    Thank you very much! Those were some of the best no nonsense drills I have heard in a long time.

    I would also suggest dont be afraid to lift that lead heel for more turn and really stomp down to start the downswing.

    Can't quite tell by the camera angle. Does Bubba have the ball lined up between his legs for his drives? And how does that add to the distance? Thank you

      Camera angles can make quite a difference, I'd say he plays ball of right instep for a driver.
      thanks, Adam

    Hello
    I have a swing a bit like that with high arm action and straight back but one thing thing surprisingly
    he has not mention is that to get that much body coil you must lift your front heal and front
    knee inwards which Nicklaus, Daily and Bubba Watson all do.

      Fair enough David, they do all lift. Seve would be example of huge turn and little or no life, just one of the flexible guys.
      Best, Adam

    6:47 Is that your back cracking? :D

      It does sound painful! It's really the microphone creaking as i crimp it a bit with all that motion.
      All the best, Adam

    What about his open stance?

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  4 года назад

      Steven,
      I think it's just one of the quirks of Bubba's overall method.

    So how is Bubba Watson's swing not early extension?

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  6 лет назад

      Bubba has a lot of movement in his swing, but if you look at his iron swing down the line he's more bent forward at impact than address. Admittedly his head pulls back slightly from the target line, but it's still pretty good.

    Open stance?

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  5 лет назад

      Yes, looks like Bubba prefers the open stance. He's a talented guy, and that fits his style.
      All the best, Adam

    Great video! Wish that you could figure out a way to put a psychiatrist in my bag.... That would be perfect!

    Bubba's swing reminds me to be athletic, to commit to the swing in a fluid way. Swing the club with the body, not the upper arm joint.
