I don't think modern air travelers fully appreciate the massive comfort benefits of modern aircraft with their flexing wings and inboard ailerons at speed. They would find an old school jet very uncomfortable and noisy by comparison!
That's a text book landing in very tricky winds. No drama at all. All in a days work with what Kiwi pilots land in. And in NZ and all around the pacific., In cyclonic conditions.
Beautiful country, best aircraft with that giant wing, but, that is light chop only. If you love turbulence, fly into Denver, Colorado after 1:00pm for a great ride.
That was bumpy! Great video.
Cool mate LANDING rwy 16 ymml

Yep. You know it all. 🥱

Beautiful video ❤
Maaaate thats NOT a hard landing.. or particularly turbulent .. fly into Windy Wellington
That’s a pretty rough landing.
The camera is stabilised but you can see how fast it was coming down to the runway.
Oh, honestly. Another couch expert. Yes, Wellington’s windy. So what. Put a sock in it.
Agree that was a Soft beautiful landing 😅
That was a Soft landing The passenger would probably shit himself if he went through anything worse 😅
My goodness if you think that is bumpy you surely have never flown into Wellington in a southerly !
I always wanted to go there ❤

I did once, and hopefully will never have to again.
