  • From a photograph to a painting: Tom takes us on an exciting journey of transferring a photograph into a painting. In the first clip of his four-video series, he explains how to retouch your photographs or pictures before you start painting them. During the process, Tom shows how to make your photo more aesthetically pleasing by removing objects or people from your photos or place cut-out objects in your photos to make them look better than the originals. Rebelle tools used in this video include a Magic wand, Transform, and Clone tool.

Hi Tom! It is an exceptional watercolor and painting program but the clone tool works great for general retouch.

Can you tell me how to use the clone tool from one layer to a different layer?

Hi @ImRedDOG , unfortunately up to 7 Pro you can only clone from one layer at a time. I think they are planning to make it multiple layers but not sure when. Right now they are spending most of their time to concentrate on the painting features of the program. As a work around you can try to Duplicate, then Merge those layers. Clone what you want. Since you are using the clone tool working on one final layer should not be out of the question either. Tom G.
