Quite a few chuckles in this video. So relatable. And also once again major progress! When you slide on just the front foot and keep back foot up I believe that’s a fast slide.
@@SolidSkates I don’t really have set ups yet to consider but I’m using the Comfy, FR Skates FRX 80 - Unisex , they are quite nice to free style and skate around and all sorts of.
Just an idea….pick the same spot to make your slide in that lot…zoom in the camera to that spot, set your resolution to something with 120 or 240 hz and watch your wheels in super slow motion to see which wheels are actually in contact with the ground and when to help you learn to motion memory these slides
Jezus man, the first part where you fell, you okay? I got a skate night out in my country yesterday was the first day it was 20km today it will be 18km, but its so damn hot!
@@SolidSkates To be honest there can be up to 300 per night, since there are only 4 nights, i think there were 30-50 skaters yesterday maybe today a bit more since its a different location and the weather is not that hot but its also free! cost no money, just gotta pick up a wristband
@@bebepastiche9105 no, I didn’t know they made wheels that spark. I know that you can put sparkling metal on the side of your boot so that when you get low enough it’ll spark. And there’s screws on my current boots that will spark if I fall and slide out sometimes 😅
@@RodriguesBrasil I’m not the most experienced with different brands, but you defiantly want at least 85A hardness for your wheels or else they’ll feel too sticky. That’s pretty much all I know because I’ve stuck with the same brands each time I replace my wheels and I’m just getting started with slides. I’m using SKT HP 90mm 8A wheels on my tri skates here, but I only bought them because they are the cheapest 😅
@@RodriguesBrasilif you want to feel comfortable learning your slides - would highly recommend going for wheels like undercover 88a. (You can go for king of slides 90a if you want to go for complex ones). 85a are quite sticky, so you won’t be able to ease in to this skill, you’ll have to add more speed , power and angle, which is quite demanding if you’re a beginner.
Well, just go and perfect your magic slide, it looks much better already, once when u master it u will see all the benefits of it on high speed, and on slippery roads (in case they are wet). Regarding the falling, stay low, and try to use your hands less, because idea is not to wall if u need to fall, fall from lowest distance from the hill, lower you are it hurst less.
@@kokainakralj I agree, the magic slide is soooo much more stable. It’s supposed to rain this week, hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to make a wet ground sliding video with some super long slides.
Your slide progress is remarkable in just a few sessions. You are going to be an unstoppable liquid city skater. I'm jealous as hell!
@@stephenklump2421 thanks man! I’m gonna master all of these slides 😤

You ever try those wheels that spark when you slide? When I get a couple slides down I want to get a set. I wish they made toe stops that spark

Highly recommend hip/butt pads for practicing slides. Hands and butts are what get abused the most doing slides
