    I worked in a restricted area (not area 51 but one that required an SCI clearance). These places have multiple security zones, but there is one thing you should pay attention to: "Use Of Deadly Force IS Authorized" and if you hopped such a fence don't expect much mercy or understanding. I'll leave it at that.

    • @ianchapman6254
      @ianchapman6254 3 года назад +8

      I an also verify at least where I worked that there are *two* security forces. There was an outer security force that was lend to us by the Base commander that was specifically cleared and trained Security Police (this was an Air force base), and on the inside there was a second security force that had clearance and access to the inner areas. These worked directly under Air Force Intelligence Command (which was the command I worked for). That is as specific as I am allowed to get I'm sorry to say. Basically sneaking into a restricted area like this is a very, very bad idea.

    From Arizona here; We do have quite a few military bases you can accidentally walk on to, if it’s dark and you’re unfamiliar with the area. They typically don’t fence in bases that are away from the Urban development of the City. As teens, we used to go out into the desert at night to have big bonfire type parties. Some friends I know had to be escorted off an Air Force Base they had mistakenly trespassed on. They showed up in Hum-V’s, with guns drawn shouting commands and questions. Once they discovered it was accidental, they made a report and escorted them off the base. The MP’s detected them with underground sensors that went off as then entered the base.

      It is same near military contractor in Florida with surrounding areas near the contractor don't have any fences too, but if you intentionally or unintentionally crossed into protected property, Then vehicles with armed security will questioned you why are you here? He told me a story once, i can't remember al of it which is why he would tell me small funny stories, but anywho, they had to take a plane to one of the areas in Nevada (it is not just area 51, he said there about over 90 areas, all gridded off for various reasons. But they had to have the window shades blocking the view the entire trip. If one blind was lifted, the plane would turn right around, land, and the person would be arrested. He said it happened once, but the person was not part of his crew. But yeah, the whole 'storm area 51' just turned into a giant party in the desert of drunken people and died out as quickly as it had begun.

Only about two or three people were dumb enough to cross the gate, nobody got shot but they all got picked up pretty quick. Got a picture with my arm over the back gate. There were local cops all around the gate blocking off access to vehicles but they said they weren't allowed to enter the gate after you if you went in, you were the military's problem at that point. Interestingly enough, at one point an ATV with two guys in the exact same cop uniforms come out from the gate, even though cops aren't allowed inside; one of them sporting a massive beard and combat scarf without a police badge, both of them looked military, they started patrolling the outer layer of the gate. I had a conversation with a former mentor of mine who was a SEAL about the matter, he had been in contact with former friends out there and hinted there were tier 1 guys on site during the event, and two times throughout the day I saw drones flying overhead. Area 51? Want to go there? Shuttle flights leave from the Las Vegas airport and a few other airports every hour, or more often during peak commute times. Most workers stay in Las Vegas, they're plenty of hotel rooms and restaurants there. Search Janet flights.
    Another major activity in Area 51 is evaluating foreign aircraft and competitions against foreign aircraft.
    Anyone who has been to Area 51 has signed a life-long ban on saying they have been to Area 51 or disclosure of the details of Area 51.
    The outer ring security at Area 51 is staffed by specially trained commercial security companies and guards, no US military involvement in the outer rings. There are people trying to get in every day, especially weekends and holidays, it's a desert and most all of these sightseers don't understand the problems of a desert, the security guards have to save them from their own lack of knowledge and lack of preparation, it's very bad press to have people die on your base.

He crossed near Frenchman Flat, where they detonated the nuclear weapons, and made it to Papoose Lake, which is southwest from Groom Lake over a small mountain range. His reason was there were artifacts and writings on a piece of rock there from one of the first wagon trains to go out west. He wanted to document the site. Papoose lake is also supposedly where the S4 facility is located.

In all likely good due to the sensitive nature of the work done there if you made it inside the second layer they'd be told weapons free and well unless you actually surrendered you'd be terminated. If you made it to the buildings you would not be given the option of surrender you would just be shot on sight.

First off, there have been many people that have crossed the barrier at area 51 on purpose. They were not fired upon. The security force that is responsible for the outer perimeter of the base is a private security company called GS4. When people trespass, GS4 detains the subjects and calls the sheriff's department and they come and arrest them for trespassing. Fun fact, every time I would go to my buddy's house, his house phone would ring at exactly 10 pm and any person that did not live at the house had to leave... My neighbor, who worked on the same Government facility I do, left to go work on Area 51 . I can tell you. That storming Area 51 would be ignorant. You will be arrested. And you’ll never see anything they don’t want you to see. There would be no reason to use force to stop people. They wouldn’t find anything without a security clearance and access to secured buildings. Without a tank, you would never access any sensitive buildings. I have the highest level security clearance you can get on my facility, but I can’t just go anywhere. Many buildings or areas if I have to go in. I have to get written permission (I have to have a purpose to be there) and to be logged into the system. The US has become very proficient in keeping certain places. There’s signs on certain places that state “ use of deadly force “ this means if you’re in there you have to contact The facility manager and security force commander , or you will be shot.

    I would imagine it depends on the person failing security check. If it's a complete unknown, very possibly drop em (kill or subdue).... but if it's someone within base that just doesn't have clearance, probably not kill... probably send them back out the door in some way shape or form.

    Years ago a friend and I helped move another friend and his family out of state. On the way I saw a sign for what I thought was a town and some kind of federal facility. On the way back home I watched for it and decided to get off the interstate at that exit to get fuel and road snacks. Thought maybe we would see something neat. My mistake..... upon exiting the interstate, we went up a hill and across a bridge over the interstate. The road stayed four lanes wide and there was a growing barrier in between the directions of travel. As we continued on a large straight road I quickly realized there was nobody on it but us. It was then I realized there wasn’t a town. Just continuing large signs for a federal facility. That’s when I saw a gate, two to three stories high, then I noticed a guard tower, with people watching us. Needless to say I turned around at the first turn around, practically at the gate. We waved as we turned around. But the two heavily armed men with dogs standing at the base of the gate did not wave back.... On the way back to the interstate, behind all of those signs we passed were cameras. It was not a pleasant feeling watching those cameras turning to us as we passed by. There were so many of them. I have no doubt they new who I was and where I lived before I even passed the second sign on the way in.... 😂😂😂😂 That was clearly somewhere we should not have ventured. I always expected a knock at the door. But that never happened.

    The people who work at Groom Lake fall into two groups: Government Employees and Contractors. Government Employees at Groom are primary a mixture of scientists, engineers, intelligence, and security personnel. You do not Ask about Groom Lake. If they need you, they will ask you. All personnel assign have to have clearance for either Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI), or Special Access Program (SAP). These personnel need to be cleared for the site, and specially briefed, before reporting for the first time. Also, the base is compartmentalized, meaning that except for common areas, such rest room, cafeterias, break rooms, lockers, etc., you need a special badge to get into each area. Contractors are temporary personnel. They are only at Groom Lake while the specific program they are assign to is in development and testing at the base. For Example, when Lockheed developed the F-117, it had some of it’s Skunworks employees at Groom, while the planes were in development and flight testing. In 1992, when the F-117 program was moved to Palmdale, the personnel assigned turned in their badges and left Area 51. Like Government personnel, contractors need either SCI, or SAP clearance to get in.

The ground has motion sensors surrounding the entire base. I remember. There was a massive party outside The gate. I'm sure the military enjoyed watching everyone get drunk.

    My ex was a union electrician worked out there. All are bussed in and don't see anything in route. He was curious about things but quickly learned to lose his curiosity. He said he had no clue how many people worked there.

    I knew some dudes that would do contracting work at Area 51. They would fly into Las Vegas and then get picked up in a jet with the windows blinded. They'd complete their job and get escorted out the same way.
