So glad you put the 1,000 dust tip at the end. So many people I've met don't save any of those to purify, so when they get a quest to purify X number of shadows, it ends up costing them 10s of thousands of stardust because they just grab whatever is convenient from their inventory.

Another reason to purify something like Wobuffet is just cost. For a few candy you slip several levels of power ups, plus your future moves cost less candy, so purify can pay for itself or even earn you candy on certain Pokémon.
I think every mega pokémon has more attack and defense than the shadow version as far as I've seen. Provided you use the Pokemon's Mega or primal form, it should have higher stats as far as I know and get the mega or primal bonuses. Since Mewtwo has a Mega Evolution coming up, I can see a reason to purify a shadow Mewtwo for Mega Mewtwo, especially if it's a 4*, because of the Mega stats and bonuses (one that people think you should never purify). With that said, you could have both a Shadow Mewtwo and a Purified Mega Mewtwo-that way, the Shadow Mewtwo can be boosted by the Mega Mewtwo if the attack boost from the Mega Mewtwo will last the whole battle. The Mega Mewtwo will also boost the attack of other people's Mega and Shadow Mewtwos, which will be insane. Also, in my opinion, I think this video could elaborate more on the 20% defense drop and say that pokémon who have a lot more base defense are not good to purify. Registeel has much more defense than attack, for example, so it will lose a lot of it by remaining a Shadow pokémon (the stat sum is less for Shadow Registeel), and the ranks on Pvpoke reflect that by putting regular Registeel above Shadow Registeel. I also think it's the same kind of situation for Lugia. It has so much defense, and you're working against its best trait and what it's naturally good at by keeping it a shadow pokémon where it will lose a lot of that defense (the stat sum for Shadow Lugia is less too). There are also better options that you could use instead of Shadow Lugia that have a higher base attack to amplify with the shadow bonus, so I lean against Shadow Lugia after also considering its base attack isn't anything special.
I purified a high IV mareep to make it my first hundo after conemplating whether I should for about a week. I've just recently come back to the game and really don't have much in the way of a "team" set up, very much less so for the various types, so having access to a half-decent elecrtic type raid Pokemon (I'd read about and seen everywhere that Mega Ampharos is a pretty decent pick for people who don't have Kyogre/Manetric/etc) and wanted to have that hundo. I also checked to make sure that Shadow Ampharos wasn't as good as the mega evolution, which it wasn't. I still pissed off my friend when I told him. Currently, I have no regrets except that it's not been such a good time recently to actually *use* my mega hundo (who I also don't have mega energy for lol). All in due time, though. For now just powering my elecrtic boio up. Let's just say that seeing Ampharos on the list of 'Mons to purify boosted my confidence in my decision just that much more!

I have a 13/13/13 shadow Aerodactyl that I think I'm going to purify since I have no intent on powering it up and using it anyway. Shadow Aerodactyl can be a strong rock type attacker, but I'd rather have the 15/15/15 to eventually mega evolve. Very informative video. But I must say, I don't understand why people comment with "I want to purify ____, should I?" The difference just isn't that big of a deal, and they should do what ever THEY want. It's great to be informed with facts, but asking other random people will only get you their opinion on what they prefer. I ALWAYS purify any shadow I'm keeping. I usually purify bad IV mons, but I'm still a new player. Gotta work on that Purifier medal. But it's a lot of stardust and candy, so after I max that, I'd most likely just transfer them.

I know this pokemon wasn’t specifically mentioned in the video I currently have a 14-15-14 shadow scizor in my bag right now, and ever since it’s mega came out I was totally puzzled on whether I should purify for the 100% IV or keep it for raid damage Thought this video would cut my problem, but I may still need some thoughts/opinions from anyone to help me out with this!
I would keep the shadow form just soley because of how rare that shadow is. You can try and find a hundo scizor through raids. Usually I try to find shiny pokemons with their megas because they look rlly cool in raids, but thats just how i play it.
It depends on what you value more and the way you play the game. Doing the math for raids, if you purify your shadow Scizor for the Mega, you'll get 40+% more value overall for both of its types (5% less DPS, but 65+% more TDO for both types) and have a cheaper Pokémon to build. However, Mega Scizor is destined to be obsolete in the future. Actually, it's already obsolete as a Mega Steel type raid attacker since Mega Aggron is better in most cases, unless the raid specifically calls for Bug type resistances, which I don't think there are many (For example, Terrakion not using Rock Slide is the perfect time to use Mega Scizor). Maybe keeping it as a shadow would have more value to you. You can powerup the shadow and use it in raids that aren't too serious just for the fun of it, or you can take it to Master League for a (VERY) spicy pick.
I have a hundo Shadow Wobbufet. Hopefully it gets a community day or move update. I deleted frustration on it by mistake. It doesn't have a second move so I'm kind of stuck with just mirror coat for now.
I have a 98% Abomasnow and a 98% Shadow Abomasnow. I've been tempted many times to purify it so it can be a 100% IV Mega Pokemon but I've held off because Shadow Abomasnow is useful in PvP.
I know it's a lame bait comment, but I have a 13/14/15 shadow Lugia. For master league regular Lugia is higher rated than the shadow version. Do I purify this Pokemon? So you know how I feel. It is a level 40 shadow right now. I'm not in a place with XL candy to make it a 50, but haven't made that decision yet. Pogo is low key ideal for procrastinators.

While a silly reason, I tend to purify shadow pokemon simply because Team Rocket made them that way to be better fighters without regard to their wellbeing. Since, I never plan on being an uber player, I purify them to make their lives better. While it does not make good sense from a game mechanics perspective, I can use your video to justify some of my sillier choices. Thank you.
Can you do a list of best shadow 3 stage pokemon? Since the team go rocket bosses and grunts sometimes get some great 3 stage pokemon? Like i made the mistake to purify a magamite

I would love it if purifying only uped defense and HP. In lore it would mean they are tougher pokemon, but more peaceful! Skilled in battle, but they have lots of restraint.

I saved 70 but it was too many to have saved as I'm still have 35 more Defeat Leaders. So unless your buying radars... saving 70 was too many.

Machoke, Dusclops, Sableye, basically anything that doesn’t have any good coverage moves really likes Return
I just got my first Purified Hundo: Onix. I have evolved to Steelix but I only have about 100 mega energy so I will have to wait to mega evolve.
Thank you. Thanks to this video i chcecked my shadow camerupt and found out by purifing him it'll turn into hundo. will sure came handy when his mega evolve come out
Can’t believe I almost got click-baited into purifying my shadow hundo mewtwo
Is shadow Bannette a good ghost type raid attacker?
Finally an answer to my shadow beedrill problem!
I have shiny 15/13/15 shadow geodude.. Should i purify it for shundo?
Back when I was a dumb noob I purified an almost perfect snorlax. It didn't turn into a hundo and now everytime I look at him I get PTSD.
I purified a wobbufett to get a 100% iv because it had high stats, I had no idea it could actually be useful
I purified my 13/13/13 or whatever it was ampharos to get it hundo. I’m proud of the decision
Daxi, would you purify a shiny sharpedo 15-15-13 ?
Dusclops now has poltergeist and that just oneshots almost everything as a shadow...
Thank you, I’ve been sitting on a 96 shadow Sable eye and had NO CLUE.
I have a 15/15/14 shadow Bidoof. It's staying in shadow form and it's on its way to best buddy
I have a 15/14/14 and a 14/14/14 shadow Scizor and a 14/14/14 regular scizor just got enough mega energy and I'm so conflicted on if I should purify for the hundo or mega the 14/14/14 😤
LOVE my 💯 purified Wobbuffet! Amazing great league pokemon!
I purified a swampert today to get a 100% for when the mega comes out
Well that's a waste
Eh if it became a hundo then it was crap for pvp in terms of iv’s
@@kingswagger8300 for raids..
I got a great shadow Sableye that is now a purified 98%, I’m so excited about it 😍
That’s super exciting to get a high stat mon, but XL sableye is even better. For the XL version you want a low attack
I have 98% shadow but don't want to purify
1:07 ok so shadow lunch is dark tyoemove I thought its ghost type 🙂🤓
While a silly reason, I tend to purify shadow pokemon simply because Team Rocket made them that way to be better fighters without regard to their wellbeing. Since, I never plan on being an uber player, I purify them to make their lives better. While it does not make good sense from a game mechanics perspective, I can use your video to justify some of my sillier choices. Thank you.
Thanks for these tips on these
some day i plan on eveloving my purfied magic carp into a garadose. Ik ik its not ¨the same as a shinny¨ but it still looks cool when your in pvp.
Can you do a list of best shadow 3 stage pokemon? Since the team go rocket bosses and grunts sometimes get some great 3 stage pokemon? Like i made the mistake to purify a magamite
Need advice. I have a shadow shiny larvitar 13/14/14. Should i purify it to have a purified shundo? I have already 2 better shadow larvitars on that account. A 15/15/12 and 14/15/15. Advice?
What about shadow sceptile?
I would love it if purifying only uped defense and HP. In lore it would mean they are tougher pokemon, but more peaceful! Skilled in battle, but they have lots of restraint.
I purified my sableye when I started playing before I even started battle league it’s a 100iv and it helped me finally reach ace level 😋
1:08 I didn't know that shadow punch was a Dark type move
One Pokémon I’ll add inn
Staraptor: He has two self debuff nuke moves. With Return it’ll be somewhat good I guess
You missed Ducklett for the 1000 dust purify
I got a question I can purify a shadow shadow ivysaur that can’t be a shudo should I do it or no? I already have a shadow venusaur that’s really good?
I watched this video and the next day caught a 13 14 13 shiny charmander took your advice and purified it, now I have a shundo zard
