Damn...sorry I missed this. Think this is one of my favorite synths ever released. Agree the UI is a bit wanky at first, but once you get used to it, I actually prefer it and find it easier to navigate than the Korg Kronos. The VA engine is supposedly the same engine as the Alesis Ion/Micron (though not program/parameter compatible). Sounded great, generous polyphony, and deep programming options with the 4 synth engines. Modulation matrix was cool. I bought mine new for about $850 for the 6HD, and it was preloaded with all the Hollow Sun soundsets, that were great...and still are. My OS still has some bugs despite having the final update. Construction quality was so-so (I went through 2 8HDs that both had keyboard keybed issues and were sent back). The sequencer was nothing great, though I stopped trying to use/learn it when I couldn't find an "undo" option. Despite all that, I had a blast playing and programming the thing. If they re-released this with the construction quality of a Hydrasynth and the bugs fixed, I'd throw some cash at this quite happily. Korg keeps doing it with the Kronos. Would love to see somebody (Alesis, Akai, or whoever) do it with this synth as well.
Hey, great to hear from you, how's things? Yeah, it really is a quite powerful Synth once you dig into it. This is my 3rd which I've had over the years and never really did anything with them, they were just preset Sound machines, it was only last week I sat down and programmed anything...a bit tedious at times, but does things modern Digital Synths can't do. I got it out from my Lockup with the intent of taking some pics and sticking it up on Ebay, but I think i'll keep it now :)
@@GEOSynths Things are good. Enjoying life after a move to Greece last year, and not unlike you with the Fusion, I'm diving back into and exploring some of my older synths...it's been a lot of fun. Lol, as for selling stuff, I've done the same thing with my AN1x...twice. Still have it.
Was not expecting this synth to sound so rich... nice one Jamie. The UI/aesthetic is very odd... a cross betwwen a home keyboard and a 1950s Cadillac dashboard... very odd...
Yeah, the styling is like a combination of a Chrysler PT Cruiser and a Cylon Robot from the original Battlestar Galactica :) Last week was the first time i actually sat down and programmed it, very surprised with how good it can sound, given that it's 20 years old.

Is the demo guy at namm playing the space 1999 theme? :D
Thanks for showing us the Fusion, Jamie! “RP Low Pass” = ARP, yeah? … 🤷🏻♂️
I don't know, it could be...nothing given away in the manual.

@@GEOSynths The one I recall was the Alesis Ion... never really knew it that was successful or not... no one ever talks about it these days.
