Baddest man on the planet, fresh out of prison, entering the ring to Redman and with a bunch of guys in tuxes from The Nation of Islam shouting Allahu Akbar! I’d shit my pants and run out of the arena like fuuuuuuck that.
I met Mike Tyson over Christmas and he was one of the kindest and most genuine individuals I have ever met. He even went out of his way to take a picture with my family for Christmas. Great moment.

@@garystewart9211 This is the entrance that always stands out for me out of all his fights. I don’t remember the entrance to the spinks fight. Although, I do remember how spinks got completely destroyed.
+gonzzalezgonzzalez I agree that this is the best entrance EVER. Do you know if there is a way to find or download this exact version of the song? Obviously the original version is on the RedMan album but I have looked everywhere and can't find this looping.
At a true 5" 10' and weighing 215 Tyson was among the smallest heavyweights of all time yet in his prime he possessed speed and power that NONE COULD MATCH!!!
I will never, ever, forget this ring entrance. Fighters enter into the area to music all the time, but watching this on television, this song perfectly framed the tension of the moment. All I could remember was hoping he was not going to kill McNeely.
THANK YOU for posting this!! I've been looking for this entrance clip for a long time. I remember watching this live. My favorite Iron Mike entrance ever. LEGEND.
Jay Tate nope Lennox turned down 16 mil to fight Tyson for WBC wanted more money he had no following or interest outside hardcore fans. So he took a nice payday for him 3 mil to step aside so Mike could make 30 mil fighting Seldom instead. Lewis wasn't ready and Tyson was still dangerous and in shape enough to take Lewis out till 98. Lewis would have tried to fight fire with fire and got blasted on inside. When they fought Tyson was slow and flat footed and Lewis had learned from getting KO'd by lesser opposition from Manny to use his boxing and length to his advantage.
This brought me back. This awesome entrance was followed by one of the best staredowns ever also, with Tyson's eyes going back and forth staring at McNeely. Followed by the rush across the ring and getting knocked down in the first 10 seconds. That stuff together made that whole show, regardless of the BS McNeely's corner pulled afterward.
@@Mo-yd8xc Don King had forced out Kevin Rooney. Tyson was 35-0 with 31 knockouts with Rooney as his trainer. Rooney trained Tyson in the peek-a-boo style, which Cus D'Amato referred to as tight defense. The style emphasized upper body and head movement, which made Tyson more difficult to hit. Counterpunching and combinations were the other components. Tyson abandoned the peek-a-boo style after Rooney was fired. He became a headhunter, which made him easier to hit. The corner men for Tyson's fight with Douglas were so incompetent, they didn't bring Endswell. They used a rubber glove filled with tap water on Mike's swollen eye. Evander Holyfield acknowledged that he may not have been able to defeat Tyson, if he still had Rooney as his trainer.
@@Mo-yd8xc Yeah, and they pressed the damn water balloon against his eye. The shit looked like a giant condom. It was ridiculous. These guys had no business being in a boxing ring. Why fire Rooney? Why get rid of the guy who made Tyson unstoppable?

Mike was such a badass. He didn't need a fancy robe, he just came into the ring in a towel with a hole in it.
That's a prison t-shirt. Extra badass points.
