    '85-'88 Mike. The closest I think we got to peak Tyson, blending some ring experience with mental toughness, youthful vigour, desire and physical maturity. His training up to the Frazier, Berbick and Spinks fights. That's the guy I would put in the ring with anyone, any era. The speed and movement of a middle-weight in that pitbull body. Like Cus said "if he stays committed and dedicated and free from distraction, he'll go down as the greatest we've ever had." Mike should have been the G.O.A.T. for sure, but it's hard. He was of college age when he became Heavyweight Champion of the World and the world is at your feet.

    • @joearnold5836
      @joearnold5836 4 месяца назад +1

      I, as many others believe, that If Cus would have meet Mike 10/20 years younger and stayed by his side the entire time he would have never been defeated. I believe that whole heartedly. It was the outside influences and glitz/glamour that got Mike, and I can't blame him having experienced my own problems with having a naturally addictive personality. It's like that one line in Conan the Barbarian, - "Wealth can be wonderful. But you know, success can test one's mettle as surely as the strongest adversary."

      It was rigged as you can see footage of Tyson Literally pulling his punches. He had to force himself to fight defensively, this is why he was biting his glove. I don't even think Tyson needs to be in the shape of his younger years, it was more a cognitive fight than a physical one for Mike.

    • @Antraxx997
      @Antraxx997 Месяц назад

      His style match perfectly his body structure + genetic , he is very strong and fast . I think there is also the « surprise factor » and then « fear factor » who worked during 1985-1989 , he s fast as a lightweight, he s 5f11 , short muscular arms , constant head movement , he break the distance like a pitbull, he give a total unusual challenge to the average heavyweight . Cus d’amato meet the perfect man for his peek-a-boo style, Tyson mastered it so perfectly that’s almost look like a parody . Clearly the most spectacular heavyweight champion ever .

    Is there any actual footage of Mike Tyson doing bodyweight exercises?
