      This is impossible, imagine if you are only 21 and you have potential to be one of the best players in the league, plus, you can have your own team instead of align with your cousin, who used to be one of the best players in the league too! Maybe it is normal in NBA today, but it was totally different back to the old days.

    Vince Carter and T-Mac should have stayed at Toronto together. They would have formed one of the best dynamic duos of all time had they stayed there together and probably would've won a championship if not multiple championships as well.

      Lebron James we really don’t know what would have happened if tmac stayed but considering Kobe himself said “if vc and tmac stayed together, they would have won championships” thats a ton of respect from someone who threepeted in the era and would have had to stop that duo.

      i agree with you two.. i hope they should choose tim duncan.. a silent but wise power forward/center and a big key player who help the spurs won the title 5x (see the chemistry of duncan, ginobili, and parker) .. shaq is great, but i prefer tim duncan more because of his being patient, wise and more selfless team mate everytime he play on the court.. they dont need michael jordan /kobe bryant/ lebron james.. they should not teaming up with the same position (SG/SF) because it doesn't make sense, and also less exposure for them.. thats my only honest opinion..

      Winners also have the necessary parts to compete for multiple chips. See Jordan's Bulls, Kobe & Shaq's Lakers, etc. Give LeBron prime Tmac or prime Vince and they have a few. I'm a bit shocked because both of their games fit better with LeBron. Vince would have a field day, and Tmac would have the greenest of lights to pull up however and whenever. They must be okay with just playing defense?

    Shaq was definitely unstoppable. Glad they talked about it because all we hear these days is Lebron vs MJ. I remember watching Lakers in the Finals and everyone was like how the hell do you stop that guy. Literally massive and was able to move quick too. But he does have a weakness and it was high free throws. If Shaq was healthy and had his 2001 form for 10-15 years, he would probably be GOAT. Lebron and MJ were also very fortunate they were healthy in their careers. Most importantly, they took care of their bodies as well. Shaq didn't just post his way and dunk. He had really good footwork and had really good hook shot that is super underrated. He did have a poor ft% which diminishes how good of a shooter he was around the rim.

    • @kawaiiafangirl
      @kawaiiafangirl 2 года назад

      I like the mention of Shaq bc Kobe fans discredit his worth to boost up Kobe's legacy. I remember reading from articles back in the early 2000s that Shaq could have been the GOAT bc he was also 30 years old when he won his 3rd straight championship (as was MJ) but Shaq wasn't going to retire and was expected to win more.
      I do agree w/ you that perhaps Shaq not taking care of his weight led to some injuries that sped of the decline of his prime. In terms of pure dominance in the Playoffs in the last 35 years, I'd say Jordan, Shaq, and LeBron are the only ones who can make entire teams shake in their boots.

    The reason that you don’t hear Shaq in the GOAT debate is because unlike Jordan and LeBron he didn’t have the same kind of versatility. Just one major point, Shaq and free throws and unfortunately there were other things in his game that could be exploited, though what he was good at he dominated in. Though I still believe there is no way you can call anyone that came after MJ and Shaq the GOAT, simply because the contact and foul rules changed so drastically, if you were to take LeBron out of this era and plop him into MJ’s time, sure he’d be just as good of a player but the number of free throws would drop through the floor and guaranteed more of his shots miss or get blocked because let’s face it, people play light d on LeBron because they know the refs tend to treat him with kid gloves. Whereas if you move Shaq or MJ into today’s NBA they’d be getting free throws left right and center on top of their ridiculous number of points they averaged.

    • @nicholascole2613
      @nicholascole2613 6 лет назад +2

      LeBron is a multi era kind of player. People back then would be just as helpless as they are today. He can't help what rules are in place. To be honest, just because someone can throw elbows and literally push you out of the air or suplex you doesn't mean that's awesome defense. How people applaud something that could cause serious injury is beyond me? That's a cowards way out versus figuring out a way to stop them naturally. They have MMA for that gladiator type stuff, it has no place in the NBA.

      demetrius 2000 bill Russell, 11 rings, 8-0 and 3-0. Never lost the first round, never lost a final, never lost a game 7. His legacy is so marked that no matter how much media tries to disregard it and sweep it under the rug, it's solidified and won't disappear. Jordan is overrated and not even close to the greatest players of all time. Get off his nuts.

    • @younglove3362
      @younglove3362 6 лет назад

      demetrius 2000
      Do your homework. Bill has NEVER lost a finals and Wilt was not the only competition he faced off against. On top of that he beat Wilt even when Wilt had a serious stacked Laker team. There's countless times where Bill Russell was considered to lose but he beat the odds. He was a competitor and always trying to win and solidify his spot as the better player (sound similar to an over rated 6 time 6'6 champion mentally, don't it?). Oh and the 8 teams he faced off against were players that played more for tge love of the game and less for tge money. Not to mention a smaller market equals more competition and lesser role players (something Jordan ws benefited in dominating in as the league expanded). You're hero Jordan is the most over rated player of all time. And the want him to be so they can market off of him. So you do more research then get back at me.

    • @younglove3362
      @younglove3362 6 лет назад

      demetrius 2000
      Do yourself a favor and look at the loss Bill Russell has. It's not in the finals. Like I said, do your homework. And unlike Jordan, Bill Russell was preventing teams and players from getting past the first round or to the finals, unlike the losses Jordan went through with Bird and Isiah/Joe Dumars. So again, your Jordan is a myth and over rated. Without Pippen the set up was easy. Let Jordan score 50 and shut the team down or shut Jordan down and play defense one the other players. Pippen got Jordan past the first round and those 72 qin games. That's why Jordan and Pippen have 6 together while Bill Russell has 11 alone. Know your facts and do more research on previous players. You may learn something new and discover Jordan is overrated (if you can get past your bias or being brought up into thinking he's the greatest). Bill Russell is the true goat.

    • @younglove3362
      @younglove3362 6 лет назад

      demetrius 2000 only thing you proven is you desperate to place Jordan is the greatest. And telling me Bill Russell lost a finals shows you didn't bother to look it up or you're trying to cling to Bill Russell's one loss while disregarding the multiple times Jordan lost (especially without Pippen).
      You're just provide yourself to be a dumb ass and continually making yourself look dumb and assuming I can't see your comments when they're showing up in my notification feed. You're the primary definition of the saying "you can't fix stupid"

The Heat team in 2012 dominated when Battier and Mike Miller finally showed up hitting those threes

      Sam Nelson I understand what you're saying but VC does vert take offs also. Any windmills he does, it's done properly, from a 2 foot take off, FULLY formed windmill put down with a powerful finish. Not the corny, cheesey 1 foot fraud looking take offs that Lebron + a lot of these newer guys are doing now days. And VC last year, has even talked about how a lot of these guys try doing shitty 1 foot easy windmills. It's just not the same. VC's 360s were all done off 2 foot take offs. Majority of his dunks were done off vert, the way how both me and you like seeing these iconic dunks being done. But as far as dunk on defenders? I would definitely agree with you mentioning MJ having more iconic posters though. BUT you and I know MJ's not the only vert dunker. VC, J Rich, Baron Davis, list goes on bro..

    • @angelh3737

      JayJay Hanchard that's my point VC took what MJ did and properly expanded on it VC had the finesse down also. His dunks were so clean. Yes MY dunked on better players but if it was a dunk contest in taking VC. Especially with his reverse 360 full windmill where he brought the ball all the way down. To me the dunk from the free throw line is MJs signature dunk. VCs honey dip where he put half his arm in the rim was better.

      Lebron James
      Wilt would've scored circles around Shaq and held him in place in the paint. People don't know Wilt was a beast and a freak of nature. How you break a guys toe slamming the ball on it or dunk with a player hanging on your shoulder? He was a also a globetrotter. Meaning ge had mad tricks and ball control. Wilt was the most dominant center.

    I 1000% agree with the MJ vs Lebron thing taking focus away from other players. In very tired of the GOAT debate. Basketball is so much more than figuring out who is the overall best player. So many great ways to enhance the game that barely get any attention.

      KObe was not interchangeable with Jordan lol. Saying that makes you look stupid. Jordan averaged more PPG, APG, RPG, SPG, BPG in both the regular season and playoff. Jordan shot 50% in clutch situations while Kobe shot a low 26%. Jordan was a FAR better defender and was bigger, stronger, faster then Kobe. Jordan won WAY more MVPs, and finals MVPs. Jordan was also a FAR more efficient player shooting a much better % from the field. Jordan was also a much smarter player then Kobe who was known to force his game far to much. Kobe is a top 12 player ever, but he is not close to as good as JOrdan

    Many times people ask the question "which player would you rather start a team with?"
    This question is ridiculous because we actually don't have to imagine the answers, we have the answers in real life. Here they: Tim Duncan, Jordan, and Bird.
    Tim Duncan came to a very small market and gave it 5 championships while making them a contender for 2 f*#king DECADES. Tim Duncan is the kind of player whom you can build around a contender for 2 decades. Players who were not expected to make it far in the NBA, drafted at 28 AND 59, were made better around Duncan and they became 4xchampions hall of famers.
    Think about this; Tim Duncan made the all NBA 1st team and the NBA 1st all defense as a ROOKIE in 1998 (For perspective: Karl Malone, who was in his prime, did not make the all NBA 1st team that year). In his second year in the league, Duncan won the spurs a championship.

      He also has been surrounded by great talents snd the best coach and a good organization. Say what you want about my favorite player but Garnett was the best power forward. He was plagued with no second great player and whenever he did get great players they went far. Put Garnett on that Spurs team he would've been a better fit than Duncan, averaging more assist, steals, rebounds, outside shots, and hitting his free throws. Tim Duncan had it easier than most other super stars, especially Kobe.

      @christiansmugisha1472 6 лет назад +1

      Young You’re wrong. The spurs organization was seen and criticized by many as the worst before drafting team Duncan. As a matter of fact, Pop who was the GM at the time was heavily criticized when he fired the head coach and appointed himself as the new HC. Now let’s look at the players. Tony P and Manu G are great but don’t forget that Manu was drafted at 59 and he wasn’t even good to be on the roaster the 2 years following the draft. Parker was drafted at 28. Having a great player like Duncan, you can build around him with late picks in the draft. But tell me one player who got better around KG, whom KG made better than expected, KG wasn’t as good to build around as TD. When he was with 4 other all stars, didn’t he just win 1 ring? Tim Duncan is wayyyyy Better than Garnett, it’s even close. Tim belongs in the same conversation as Jordan, Bron, and Kareem; not KG

    • @younglove3362
      @younglove3362 6 лет назад

      SHEMA MUGISHA Christian
      Who was made better around Kg? Everyone he played with. The same as Duncan. Go look at the stats. Assist wise kg has more. Also in steals, free throws. Only thing Duncan did was the same as shaq. Protect the paint and post down low and draw double teams. Garnett was better offensively where he could not only score in the paint, you had to guard him outside as well. And he'd find the open and get more steals. He was able to play all positions but due to his size he played pf and center. And dominated even though he was undersized.
      Your point about the Spurs organization, Pop grabbed Duncan out of high school. Duncan would've been in the same draft class as Garnett (if not before) but chose to finish college. Pop chose to be the coach because he was a better coach. And it was the right decision because look at what the Spurs became during and after Duncan's time as opposed to before. And Duncan made Ginobli and Parker look better? That's equivalent to saying Shaq made Kobe look better or Wade made Shaq look better. Which is asinine. Garnett was better than Duncan and would've been utilized way better than Duncan had he been on that Spurs team. If Garnett would've formed a big three earlier in his career he'd have two more rings and maybe been in the finals 6 or more times

      @christiansmugisha1472 6 лет назад

      Young Love just read the comment above. KG actually played with players who your stats argument prove they were better than Parker or Ginobili. For instance, Latrell Spelwell led the Knicks to the finals in 1999 before he joined KG
