best and easiest balayage tutorial Ive seen yet. I need to do this on myself and know its going to be harder but I am determined. Thanks for the brush and clay suggestion.
Doing my first balayage on a client tomorrow. I've been practicing all week and I'm super nervous, this video has really calmed my nerves and helped me prepare. Thank you so much.
So helpful! Thanks so much, I'm a 49 year old stylist and have had trouble switching from foil, which I can do in my sleep~ to balayage. I am excited to try your tips!
I canNot wait to try this on my niece..Super excited! I've watched a ton of videos on balayage....and I finally found yours!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
I’ve watched so many balayage techniques this past couple weeks and I will say this is the best tutorial. Very clean and simple. I love that you used a paint brush! It looks like you painted it with ease and good control. Do you have any videos similar to this but with teasing and or weaving?
Schwarzkopf blonde me lightning is the strongest lightener...plus it has built-in bond builder.... it lifts 9 levels quite quickly! I mix it with any clay lightener to do bayalage
you are a boss! I would love to see more haircutting videos. I know some people may not enjoy them as much but I could really use some help in that department and you are a wonderful instructor! love you!
This and your "Favorite Way to Balayage" are my favorite/the most helpful balayage tutorial!s🙌 Everything is so seamlessly diffused and the color gorgeous. Your technique with the paint brush (Who'da thunk? It makes perfect sense!) and "mohawk" sectioning at the part as saved me so much time with better & more consistent results. You also introduced me to Funked Up Film and Kenra Clay Lightener which I love! Thanks so much for your videos and congrats on baby Arrow!💗💕
i just wanted to let you know that you are an amazing stylist and are super informative! I hope i will be able to attend one of your classes some time soon!
Absolutely gorgeous!! 👏 I love the simplicity of the technique and your placement. (And I am hitting up Home Depot for one of those paint brushes, asap!) 😁
This is my first time watching any of your videos and i just wanted to say im so glad i did! This is a great video! You explain everything so well and i love that you didn’t leave anything out! I already subscribed and can’t wait for more videos from you! ❤️
I want to thank you for helping me further my education!! I’m still in school and i absolutely love your methods!! You explain everything oh so well!! You’re great at what you do!
+Alexsis Mae I'm a huge fan of Kenra products and I wanted to thankyou so much for featuring this clay lightener!!! I have not tried it out yet but will certainly be doing so in the near future! I just subscribed!!!
Love this video! good job and thank you!!! I have been starting too low in the back (sectioning) with short hair and having a patchy look and have been searching for advice on how to do short hair balayage better. thanks!!
+Kendra Lafferty yes, it's the same with highlighting short hair. You don't always have to color the nape area cause it's too short to put into a high pony tail so there not really any point unless they are solid blonde with natural dark roots!
Absolutely amazing thankyou so very much excellent tutorial ,could I please ask if you wanted to add in a low light with the balayage would you do the same techniques but just with a lowlight instead of the bleach ?
Wow, it really looks amazing!!! I recently got highlights and they ended up kinda chunky!! I would so love to live where you do now because a trip to your salon sounds amazing! Hehe! Thanks for sharing!
Wow!!! I really really love this look!!!! Why can't you do hair in berlin??!! I'm looking for someone who does balayage the exact way you do it. Unfortunately most of the hairdressers/ hairstylists here still don't know the difference between an ombré and a balayage look!!! Well maybe I'll try it on my own with your video !!! Thank you for sharing!!
That looks amazing! Thanks for the info on the Kendra clay lightner. Iv been using redken clay lightner mixed in with Flashlift and has helped me. I think I used it in one of my videos. but I'll try this too. 😊
Since you’re not saturating the clay through the entire strand of hair you have does that help create dimension with the pieces underneath not being lightened?
best and easiest balayage tutorial Ive seen yet. I need to do this on myself and know its going to be harder but I am determined. Thanks for the brush and clay suggestion.
Lupie Housewife please don’t

Glad you broke the rules as a little heat really helps when in a salon setting and waiting for that lift. Looks lovely.
Please always show how the hair end up looking like as straight before doing the curls.
Thank you 😊
Love!! It’s the perfect balayage!!
You’re magical!✨

Since you’re not saturating the clay through the entire strand of hair you have does that help create dimension with the pieces underneath not being lightened?
Exactly. That’s how Balayage works!
