    Hello! :) Thank you for so kindly for sharing this video. This is the first time I'm attempting grany squares. At 3:14 you place the hook through the loop, and pull that 3rd loop back onto the hook. Which loop is it that I'm pulling back on? I've slowed down the video and watched several times but cannot tell. :)

    • @daylahanh
      @daylahanh  Год назад +1

      hi, in 3:10 i made yarn over which gave me the thread and i carried it with me to insert the hook through the loop and have 3 loops on the hook. Also you can keep watching and see a few more times how i make double crochet, so you can practice along 💖

    Thanks for this detailed video on how to not only make the squares, but also clearly showing how to sew everything together!
    I found a different granny square pattern that I've wanted to make into a balaclava, and I was lucky in that mine turned out to be the same size as yours! (Looked in the comments and found that you said they measure 15cmX15cm).
    Having each section split up by chapters makes it really easy for me to skip ahead to the instructions that I need.

      Hii, I'd suggest try medium-bulky yarn and using the according 5 mm hook size if you are planning to crochet with 1 strand, if with two - then light. Hope this was helpful

    hii do you think this pattern is good for all head sizes? most patterns end up being too small for me 😭 is there a way to alter this pattern to make it a bit bigger?

    • @puddypudding9609
      @puddypudding9609 Год назад +1

      Bigger hook = bigger squares, thicker yarn = bigger squares. I made mine accidentally too small which I only realised while sewing it together, but then I added another row on the sides of the square that was on top of my head, if that makes sense.

      @@daylahanh ahmmmm! im trying to make a bag kinda? so far i have made (almost, its a wip thing yet my hands couldn't do anything after 5 hours doing crochet) 4 granny squares, i have yet to decide if its going to be 1x2 or 2x2, if that makes sense? like
      ΠΠ or just ΠΠ
      ΠΠ
      at first i wanted a menssager bag u know? my-i have always loved that type of bag, but i dont know really 😕 can i survive doing 6 more granny squares? i have no idea 🕴 talking abt having no idea- i have no idea how i'll make the straps thing, but we will cross that bridge when we came to it
      my mom said that i may have to do like a inside cloths for the inside of the bag- since the granny squares has quite a few holes i will tell u. Again i have no idea how i will do that, but its ok, despite all that and the princy PRINCY yarn, im still having a lot of fun. Its amazing creating something out of "thin air", i love the felling of it so im happy with whatever results i can came up with :)
      my i talk quite a lot dont i- YET i still want to thank u again!!! thank u for teaching me how to change colours!! thank u for teaching me how to do a granny square in detail!!!

    • @daylahanh
      @daylahanh  Год назад +2

      It's weight 4 (medium), I crocheted it with two strands and 5 mm hook, if you want to crochet with 1 yarn, I'd recommend #5 or #6 so that your balaclava will be thick and warm. I used about 1 skein of white and 1 skein of black, and there were leftover yarns
