Great tutorial! I was just wondering what the measurement is of one square, because I’m using chunkier so I’ll probably need to do one less row. Thank you!🤍
Hello! :) Thank you for so kindly for sharing this video. This is the first time I'm attempting grany squares. At 3:14 you place the hook through the loop, and pull that 3rd loop back onto the hook. Which loop is it that I'm pulling back on? I've slowed down the video and watched several times but cannot tell. :)
hi, in 3:10 i made yarn over which gave me the thread and i carried it with me to insert the hook through the loop and have 3 loops on the hook. Also you can keep watching and see a few more times how i make double crochet, so you can practice along 💖
Thanks for this detailed video on how to not only make the squares, but also clearly showing how to sew everything together! I found a different granny square pattern that I've wanted to make into a balaclava, and I was lucky in that mine turned out to be the same size as yours! (Looked in the comments and found that you said they measure 15cmX15cm). Having each section split up by chapters makes it really easy for me to skip ahead to the instructions that I need.
Hi ! Tanks a lot for this amazing tutorial! Has I’m using a different size of yarn, I would like to know the size [in cm] of one square (they look huge). Thanks and happy christmas! :)

Hi I'm new to crochet and knitting and I'd like to know how much yarn does this project require? Thank you for the awesome tutorial, I was struggling with crochet until I found you!
I think I have a different tension than you. What are the sizes of finished granny squares? I followed the video but mine came out to be 11cm (after blocking) and it turns out to be too small for my head (it might also be that I have a gigantic head 😅) thanks xx

Love this tutorial! I'm trying to make the same one using the colors you used :) just want to make sure I use the same color white, but did you use cream white or plain white 5ply milk cotton yarn? thanks
Hi Cari, you can use weight 4 yarn too and crochet with two strands like I did, keep in mind that the size of the square is 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 inches). Good luck! 💕
hii, I'm so sorry to hear that 🥺 it's probably because we have different tension and gauge. My square is 15×15 cm, so this balaclava is 15cm×4=60 cm, and my head is 56 cm. I hope this helps! 🫶

hii do you think this pattern is good for all head sizes? most patterns end up being too small for me 😭 is there a way to alter this pattern to make it a bit bigger?
Bigger hook = bigger squares, thicker yarn = bigger squares. I made mine accidentally too small which I only realised while sewing it together, but then I added another row on the sides of the square that was on top of my head, if that makes sense.

Should I put the grannys in a blocking board before stitching them together?

I don't know how to make two lines at first. Is it a combination of the beginning and the end?Or do you make two strings after you cut the thread? Tutorial, please😢
hi, it’s one thread from the center of your yarn skein, and the other one from the outside, so both yarn threads are from the same yarn skein 🧶
just finished mine!! LOVE IT 🫶 thank you so much
Could you please tell what the dimensions of the square are? How many centimeters? Thank you soo much for such a clear and easy tutorial 🫶

Hi! I'm thinking about making this balaclava but, how much yarn did you use?
Hi, I used ~390 m (220g) of both yarn in total, so 200 m each colour. Hope it helps! x
