I've owned my 2000 ZRX1100 since 2002. It has 59,000 miles on it. No issues other than an alternator that may need replaced after 21 years. Still love the bike as much as ever!

I bought a 99 ZRX 1100 ABOUT 2 years ago. It was in sad shape when I got it but I brought it back to life. It is definitely a fun bike to ride and it's amazing how many people will turn their heads to look at it.

I had a 2000 ZRX 1100 bone stock. I paid around $2000 for it from a dealer used. It did have fairly high mileage at 19,000 miles if I remember correctly. The bike ran like it was brand new and I loved it. I would still have it today but it actually got stolen from the motorcycle shop where I was having it serviced. Man these bikes are getting really hard to find.
I’ve owned probably close to 20 used motorcycles over the past 30 plus years but For my 50th birthday (midlife crisis) I decided to buy my first brand new motorcycle. I purchased a 2021 Kawasaki Z900 RS Café. The bike is gorgeous and amazing. I got the silver/gray color scheme and it’s a beautiful machine.
Prior to purchasing the new motorcycle, I came really close to pulling the trigger on another ZRX 1100, the same as the one that I had previously. it was such a great bike and they’re getting really hard to find. I almost wish I would’ve picked up the old Z-REX 1100 but I’m happy with the new fuel injected motorcycle with a warranty. but I still miss that ZRX 1100 (Z-REX) maybe in the future I can find another one. It was such a great motorcycle!!

The zrx1100. is a joy to ride the dealership I worked at did a zx11 upgrade carbs, cams it dyno at 163 the. Difference is the power after 6000 ram is insane so much fun my 1200 is stock the smooth power is very cool ;but the extra on my 1100 really keeps the old heart thumping

I just bought a 99 for $300. No joke. It only has 13k. I’m really nice shape. It’s all stock. I used to work at a kawi dealership back then. These bikes in my opinion are so underrated. A shame you don’t see many anymore. Oh by the way the reason the bike was so cheap is that I bought it from a 19yr old who wanted tattoos.

I ride Kawasakis since early 90ies. Now I own a 2000 ZRX with a Termignoni exhaust System. You can unleash some 20 horses by exchanging the stock pipes by unrestricted ones but you loose some "Electric motor" caracteristics below 5000rpm. Kawas build after 2005 doesn't seem to have this rugged quality appearence like this older models. Just compare the forged side stand of this ZRX with the one of a 2007 Z1000 which looks like made from Home Depot pipes of several diameters with the addition of very average welding skills. Don't forget to mention that Kawasakis have an "Automatic neutral finder". If the engine is warm (running) and the bike is not moving you cannot shift from 1st to 2nd gear. You will always go to neutral. Some hidden example of the engineering superiority of Kawasaki Heavy Industries.

I have a 2003 Kawasaki ZRX1200R . Wonderful bike, mine is the green and black with grey stripe. The engine is a ZX11 Ninja block bored to 1164. It has the KZ1000 looks but it has a detuned ninja motor. But still plenty of HP stock. My ZRX has 47,000 miles and I still love mine.

I have had mine since new (2000) and I still love it! The tank will take you around 175 to 200 miles before filling it again. The only gripe that I would have is that it does go through rear tires (not unusual for a higher horsepower / torque engine). Keep up the great videos - I actually own a few bikes that you have made videos of (and I really enjoy your videos of them). I too share the same passion for bikes as you, but my wife says 30 (so far) are enough!! LOL

      I have a 2002 1200 with 30k and a kerker.
No problems the first 5 years until fuel started pouring out of the air filter.
Took it to the local shop spend 850$ for carb work throttle cable oil change etc.
Haven't run good since...it back fires and if you really get on it it seems like it starves for fuel and shots down.
After 15 min it's ok again.
Frustrated as i no longer trust my local shop.

      @detomasopantera1966 4 года назад

@Rick Simpson I'll never take it back to them.
      I will explain why.
The tank was not installed right, the fuel gauge connector was never put on,i discovered a wire in one of the coils broken off(fixed it my myself),some lines from the tank not properly connected (or not at all).
I have lost faith in them.
They used to have great mechanics but now just a young kid thats very sloppy.

All the bikes I had as a courier, Kawasakis only, early to mid 80s, last bike '92, 3rd and probably last GT550, shaft drive, great bike, GT 750, enjoyed it just as much as '84 nearly new GPZ 750 turbo, heard first production bike any size, to do the standing quarter mile in 10 seconds, mine did 161mph, GT 750, would sit at 140mph, all day long.No bike for 27 years, March 19 chance to get a bike, no Kawasaki shops near, turned down a 07 CBR 600 RR sight unseen, saw it wanted it, just looked very RIDEABLE, just sold, Bummer !!!, Dancer ?, had opted for a 05 fuel inj. 650 Bandit,Wow, immediate throttle response quicker than a video game, capable of just over 80 mph, in 2nd gear. First ride in Ernest, in 27 years, less than 2 miles, a brand new Focus ST undertook me at speed, cared not a jot, down at light, Focus ST trying to lord it over me, stumbled upon a Perfect Storm, hand's limp on bars, not pulling arms anymore,750 turbo was infamous for trying to throw rider off the back, hang on for life, when turbo started to Woosh forward.Bandit Perfect storm , limp arms, body slouched all at the back wheel, felt like an industrial catapult fired it off, 6,500 rpm 4th gear, said 91,92mph, actual 88, 89 mph,red lines at 12,000rpm, 2,700 pounds to M.O.T., fixed worth 1,000 nonsense PRICELESS, would the shop take 200 pounds every 4 weeks, No, 19 months of biking JOY. Sadly now a HOPEFULLY only semi retired Banditateer fekkin Banditaholic, but taking a look at a Kawasaki green ZRX 1100, video, THANKS, That bike, I'm sure could cure my Banditaholicism. 0-60 2.9 secs.,ZRX ??, LOVELY. yours Scott Loch. Na, Professor Bandit fuel inj.650 B.T.E. out. Got a PhD Masters Degree in Bandit Torque Enjoyment only, nothing technical, but a Healthy ZRX, VERY NICE.

I was wondering how is this bike suited as first motorcycle taking in consideration it's 1100ccm after all ?
I passed my exams on hornet 599 here in Europe we call it Hornet 600 and I saw they are approximately same kw and hp.. 95-98 hp.
I am 32 years old and have no desire whatsoever to twist that throttle or break any speed records, would mainly use it as a city commuter.
That said I am 6.2 feet tall and I really REALLY like the looks of this motorcycle.
Would this be suicide choice for a first motorcycle?
    Tnx in advance. :)
