    The S1 Pro is my first robot vacuum. We have a new home with no carpeting and floors that we could not get clean. Vinyl fake hardwood planks and tile flooring. This guy has us with clean feet and socks in 3 cleanings. The first couple times the wastewater was nasty, but no more. I absolutely love this guy. I never considered a robot before due to the absence of a really good mopping technology. The robot is very quiet. It will find its docking station no matter where it is located. We put it in the laundry room. It does make noise flushing out the dirty water and refilling the clean. The vacuum to empty dust bin is also noisy. Just locate it away from the TV. Awesome device cannot say enough. I used their $99.00 flex program. Warranty as long as I have it and can turn in or upgrade at any time. C

      I'm trying to find out how you use it on different floors (2nd floor, basement). Do you just move the robot to that floor or do you also have to move the base station?

    • @akioohtori
      @akioohtori 2 месяца назад

      @@timjones7689 ... I wouldn't try moving the base station. It only has one way to carry it, which is from the bottom, and it's like at least 20lbs empty, lol.
      You can save multiple maps, but if you move the base, you'd have to redo the map, I think. So, you would move the robot... and you'd have to move it back to the base if it has to empty.

    Thanks for the great review and not being a sell out as most RUclipsrs are nowadays when products were sent to them.
    This is my first robot vacuum and you are right on point.
    I’m in love with this robot but it’s not perfect, I only have tile and hardwood floor, have a big dog that sheds a lot, this picks up all the hairs and does a great job mapping the tile floors.
    You are correct about not cleaning the corners, the lack of support for HomeKit integration, the only thing you forgot to mention is that it requires a little bit more maintenance as you have to clean the robot dirty water filter often, which easy to do so I don’t mind.

    thanks a lot for an unbiased review!
    Not gonna lie that I was strongly considering it, but three things I have concerns for: 1. Corner cleaning. 2. vacuuming capabilities and hair tangling in the brush! 3. Smart home integration.
    Gonna wait for a vacuum robot that has the same mopping tech and object avoidance but also address my above concerns.

    • @BradDaSilva
      @BradDaSilva Месяц назад

      I’ve had mine for a month now, the corner cleaning is definitely something that some would be worried about. I have some stupid corners like a V shape in my place that no robot would fit in so it wasn’t a huge concern as those corners will need a manual cleaning anyways. The hair tangling was significantly less than I expected. A bit was in the corner of the rubber roller, expected but didn’t affect the functionality of the robot. In comparison to my old robot vacuum the unit would need to be cleaned every other use due to tangling as the roller brush had bristles that tangle hair from the micro frays. On the s1 the only place it had quite a bit of hair was the corner brushes as they are fibres that tend to hook hair more like every other robot vacuum out there. Super easy to clean though. To address the smart home integration, the app has been updated for google and Alexa support. I can say “hey google start cleaning” and the robot will start its cycle. I haven’t figured out how to get it to go to a specific room with voice commands yet but according to eufy it is there. The robot has got some software updates and improvements. I’m overall really happy with this unit because of the real mopping function. The one issues that still isn’t great is multi level use, the robot can only store 3 maps and the functionality of cleaning multiple floors is subpar. Most robot vacuums it is recommended to purchase one for every level. Not ideal with the cost of these things.

    Nice review! How does it compare side-by-side with the Switchbot that has the same roller type of mop?

    • @ModernDayTech
      @ModernDayTech  6 месяцев назад +4

      The Switchbot S10 that I reviewed (ruclips.net/video/vueEwrTB9sw/видео.html) does have the same type of rolling mop and constantly cleans itself, but its roller is about 2/3 the size, making it even less effective at mopping the edges and corners. Although on the main body of your floors you will have the same experience, it does a great job at mopping. What I love about the Switchbot is the auto refill and empty feature, which is a game changer between the two. Although the robot has a smaller roller, it is actually bigger in overall size and height, so keep that in mind too. Maybe I'll do a comparison of the two on the other channel.

    I need a robot that can vacuum (long hair, pet hair, dirt) and then mop my floors and make them 100% clean and hygienic (or as close as possible) . I have all tile. Is this my best bet or is there something better? I'm concerned about the no corner issue. I've looked at the Roborock curve, Dream L40, Naval Freo Z, Ecovac Deebot T30S and Roomba J9+. I think we're getting close with these robot cleaners. The roller mop combined with additional small extending spinning mop for corners along with near 100% anti-tangle tech is probably a generation or two away now! Currently, I'd choose the Ecovacs T30s omni over this!

    I've had my S1 Pro for a month or so now and we love it. You are spot on about the mopping ability. While it does not do corners well in everyday life for us that is not a big deal. It is quite exceptional and navigating as close as it possible can to anything in its way, and its low profile allows it to go under things that might be a challenge for other robot vaccums.

    I’d love to see a comparison video of the Eufy S1 Pro vs the Eureka J20. Since they’re both worlds first flagship models with the mopping roller and a wastewater tank onboard so they dont spread out dirt/waste water. They both mop way better than the traditional round mopping pads. Could you do a full comparison between them?

    • @ModernDayTech
      @ModernDayTech  3 месяца назад +1

      I would love to check out the Eureka J20, but they've only reached out with older models that I'm not interested in. There is also the SwitchBot S10, which also has the same roller mop and on-board dual water tanks. You can see that review here. ruclips.net/video/vueEwrTB9sw/видео.htmlsi=sODK5seAr_OLcCKX Plus, there are other features that the S10 offers, and a new video will be released tomorrow morning that is really cool. Here's a link to that. ruclips.net/video/wDaBLtWVEi0/видео.html
      As for the comparison of the Eufy S1 Pro vs. the SwitchBot S10, I'm considering it, but both are quite similar in mopping. However, neither does corners or edges well, which is where round mops have an advantage. But I've seen new roller mops that can reach edges, so stay tuned to both channels.

      @@ModernDayTechi’ve seen some reviews showing that the Switchbot S10 is far inferior in mopping compared to the Eufy S1, even tho they both use the similar mop rolling technique.

    I have to admit I'm tempted. However, do I keep my Dyson 360 which has a far more powerful vacuum? The downside of the Dyson original robot is it doesn't do room by room. So I can't say "clean the kitchen or clean the bedroom." I don't have any rugs, kids or pets so I don't really need a powerful vacuum. Decisions, decisions.

    I live in a 2br apartment, and use a robot vacuum because I have mobility issues. This is my second; my first was a Neato vacuum I got in 2016 (I don't think they did combo mops back then)... and these two units couldn't be further apart in performance, lol, so it was almost like I didn't ever have one before.
    We have oak tile floors, rugs (different materials/piles), kitchen mats, a home office, home gym... Most of the furniture is on casters or is powered (adjustable base or reclining)... It's an old place with not enough outlets, so there are extension cables in multiple places -- no issues with obstacles.
    I can be sat in my chair and watch it circle the casters while never bumping them once.
    I think for, like, the high-end robot vac/mop combo, it's price is comparable. I was looking across different options when it was still a kickstart and they were all around the same price range... so I opted for the kickstart which included accessories (including the hardwood cleaner). Even though it wasn't yet Alexa-ready, and it would take months to arrive, I think it was totally worth the wait.
    If you don't need a robot vac/mop right now, and decide to save up for it, I don't think you'd regret it.

    3 things:
    1. (Partially offtipic) I need URGENT review of similar new product - 3i S10 Ultra - new competitor, same mop technology but it extends to catch cor ers, it has green laser for dirt detection and most crazy - the station does not have dirty water tank because it supposedly manages to clean tbe dirty water and reuse it...this definitely begs for tests. And u fortunately has a short kickstarter campaign finishing in 18 days so it is kinda leap of faith
    2. I wouldn't recommend trying other detergants different than the approved. Because you know that the robots have small filters that the water go through and if you put something that goes bubbly it can completely block inflow.
    3. I think the ozone thing is some modern way of dealing with bacteria. Last 2-3 years there have actually been even a lot of shampoos and body wash for adults and for children/babies that use some form of ozone.

      Yes, I actually reviewed the SwitchBot S10 on this channel ruclips.net/video/vueEwrTB9sw/видео.html It does have a similar roller mop and dual on-board tanks, but the roller on the SwitchBot is even more narrow than the Eufy S1 Pro, so it mops even further away from the baseboards. Neither does great on edges or corners. The Eufy has slightly better obstacle avoidance; however, the SwitchBot has dual stations, and that’s a game-changer simply because it’s less hands-off. I've been using both for a while now and I'll be doing a comparison video on ModernDayReviews soon.

    Why didn't you look up or do some research on what Ozone cleaning tech does, before doing this so you can be a bit more informative on your review instead of leaving us with I don't know which comes off to me as I don't care, which translates to a overall bad review...they sent you this to review for free, if that's even true, and meanwhile I'm in a house with two cats, two kids, and a baby granddaughter who will be crawling around soon, I WISH they'd send me a machine to test my cat litter dusty floors on, and I know what Ozone tech cleaning is, including ionizer which is the same thing really and in a nutshell it's de-atomization of particulates or in other easier words it's breaking down the particles that are attached to smells and destroying them. If I understand correctly this is eliminating stinky water and purifying the water it uses so there is no smell. Stinky odors can't attach to the water because it's been ionized. And there's some other things about mechanical operation and sensitive parts and sensors which is why they have their own detergent.
    Sigh, what a shame was looking forward to a good review.
    I stopped this video at 6:22 as I can't stand people who do a review but can't be bothered with doing some in depth research to give me a full deep dive into this machine...I can't imagine what you go on for another 10 min and 21 seconds for, I would watch the rest to find out but like you and the lack of research, I too can't be bothered with finding out...I'm also removing the thumbs up....
    I'll try you later if you do research and study and say that instead of I don't know, I'll thumbs up and even consider subscribing.
    Good day

      Thank you for your input and opinion, but I did research ozone technology, and honestly, it feels more like a marketing tool than anything. I even mentioned in my video (at 05:23) that it helps with bacteria and cleaning, but I personally didn’t notice any difference in the smell of my water or the cleanliness of my floors. It's not fair to single out one sentence from an entire segment to suggest I didn’t do my research.
