Honestly I've been watching a lot of polygel nails videos and yours were just the best, just wanted to let you know. You tell me EXACTLY what I want to know, in short videos that are straight to the point, and also you're just fun to watch. Thank you:)
thank you!
Thank you for the honestly and pointing out that it is a lengthy process. I was shocked how hard it is to take polygel off at home. Videos on YT are making it look easier and faster than it is.
A tip. Use those clips but put the cottonball in foilpacks and those clips on top and you will see they sit more tight then you will quick result. I use that merhod and an nailscraper that looks like an triangle. Xx
Thank you
Wow this was extremely helpful, thank you!!! Side note, I LOVE seeing you in your intro, it's nice to put a face to the nails 😁😁😁
💖💖
I damaged four of my nails my not taking the poly gel off properly and wearing them too long without a break in between. This video is a game changer for me for after my nails heal 🙌🏻🥳
I dont even wear polygel but I love watching your videos they're so calming 🥰
thank you🥺
Same.
Thank you for this video. I did my first set of poly gels just after christmas and my nails have grown out a lot. I’ve watched so many removal videos and found yours the most honest and helpful. I’m off to remove the nails now and just gel my natural nails i think, fingers crossed i dont ruin my nails 😁
I like how you kept your natural nails with the polygels
Best video in removal of polygel. I did one finger just to try out applying the nail for the first time and came pretty good. Now you have given me a straightforward and explained everything so well. Keep up the awesome job. May God bless you
Love this video!! I watch all the poly gel videos, but yours is the first that actually made me feel confident enough to try! Thanks Gabby!!
Welcome ❤️ I’m glad you liked it!
Hi! I love your videos! 😍 I just removed my first set of polygels and my nails kinda got damaged. Is there anything you can suggest to properly prep/protect the nails?
I love how wholesome your community on here is:) you have the best tips and designs!
same 😭 literally have the best subscribers! And thank you ❤️
THANK YOU!!! It’s so difficult to find out what it entails to remove them. Even when they say “soak off”
Your nails are so healthy! Excellent tutorial!!
for every videos which i watch, they always show the polygel remover only with the other nail stuffs but in this video you did it just with the nail polish remover.this indeed is very helpful for me also really worked on me .thankyou gabby
Oh, yes! Remove that label! I’m 100% with you! 👊🏼
Those plastic clips @2:54 instead of tinfoil are a game changer!
18 days is a long time for a npa!! 😯 I'm impressed!
Right!
Wow this was exactly what I was looking for! Super helpful. I'm just learning how to do my own nails after a bad salon experience. Thank you!
Now I know the purpose of those wooden sticks found in nail kits 😳😳
I’m pleased I’ve watched this as I’ve unfortunately damaged my natural nail
How long did you find you had to let your nails soak with the acetone before you were able to push it off?
Hi!! How long did you soak your nails? THANK YOU 💖
This video should have more views, so helpful!!
so glad it helped!!
Wish I had found your video before I ruined my natural nails when I had no idea what I was doing, thanks so much
Thank you so much for this video, I wanted to try this product but I didn’t want to ruin my natural nail so thanks . I may try this .
no problem 💖 and I definitely would it’s fun to do!
Not the removal the application lol
I dont know what i did wrong, i just took off my polygel and my natural nails are just SHREDDED! I have those exact caps but in purple lol
Same my nails are so sore and thin when I take it off plus a part comes off and some bits are still so stuck to my nail
you're awesome!!!! thank you so much. I'm getting my first poly gel kit Monday & wanted to see how to remove it.. I've been dipping since Feb 1 21 & love it so ready to learn more...
Very useful, thanks for the video and all the explanation 💖
Great video as always 👍 thank you Gabby for all you do and with awesome patience🤗💥🎉
Thank you❤️
You hair really suits you! ☺️
thank you!
Just curious, could you wear polygel nails over a coat of peel off base coat? Or would the polygel be too strong and melt the coat?
Yes that’s exactly what I’m tryna figure out lol...have u had any luck yet?!
@@freedom_ATA Nope- I searched on Google but I’m not sure if I’ll risk it T^T
I tried it once over UNT, and when I went to peel off the polygel, it took a sheet of my nail with it. I do not recommend trying it.
I used purple glitter polygel and I’m gonna try this I hope it hasn’t stained my natural nails 😊😊😊
Thank you for this video! Have previously used the soaking method, but next time I am gonna try this out! ( am rather new to doing and removing my nails with gel and leds etc and have only had to remove my gel once. The soaking was nice, but da** if I had issues with keeping my hands still for a ”long” time)so I like to watch guiding informational videos with tips and tricks just to remind myself on what to do when it is removing time.
Your nails look super nice after removal :D
Thanks!
while watching this my nail just popped off WHAT LOL
Thank you! This video really helps me !
Haven’t used gel on myself but these look great! 💖
You’re so beautiful 😍 and that was an awesome 👏 removal process of poly gel 😊 tysm for sharing 😉
Thank you ❤️❤️
Gabby Morris you’re welcome 😊
How long did you let that soak ?
Is there anyway to do this without filing?? I am hyper sensitive, and I get hurt by the sound of filling (hard to explain)....
Or would you recommend to use something other than polygel?? I need to strengthen my nails (have a nail condition that makes my nails very thin..) and want then a bit longer... Any recommendations would be appriciated🥰
I have the same issue!
@@shawnasalmon2892 Glad to know I'm not the only one! I love nail art, and actually are starting to get better at it, but I hate that I can't have it on my own nails... And wear it for a week without my nails chipping...
If you want something that can be removed fairly easily, doesn't require buffing or filing, and adds just a bit of strength, try Zoya Gelie-cure. It's a gel system that attaches to a special serum that strengthens the nail. That being said, it is not an enhancement that adds length, just strength, and is just a small touch of extra strength, so it might not be suitable for super long growth or if you are rough with your hands. That being said, I always do a Gelie-cure after removing polygels or any enhancements, as it helps to restore some of the strength and moisture lost by the nail prep process. It's really comfortable to wear and soaks off in just a couple of minutes (no exaggeration).
Two other options I can recommend are silk wraps and IBD builder in a bottle. (Note: neither of these are as strong as polygel, acrylic, or dip nails.) Silk wraps don't require buffing the natural nail, though there is some filing of the finished surface needed. The basic process involves placing the wrap, applying brush on resin, and curing it with a resin setter spray, then filing to smooth. It removes easily with acetone and doesn't need to be filed down first.
As for IBD builder in a bottle, there are other brands of builder in a bottle, but I recommend this one because it's a soak off. You do have to buff the nail first, as well as dehydrate and prime, but it's comfortable, lightweight, and can last for a few weeks. You can wear it either as an overlay on natural nails or use it with forms to build length. It soaks off very easily, though you do need to remove the surface layer first. I've used all three and rotate through them, though the builder in a bottle is the strongest. Hope this helps.
@@dizzyantennae5883 Thank you so much, I willl look into the things you have mentioned, and see what is available in here, since I live in Norway:-)
How long did the whole process take?
Can we use anything else instead of acetone?
I might have missed this part, but how long you soak the acetone for? [towards the end]
I started to do polygel at home for myself, i did not know about this. I used my regular drill bit, looked away for 1 second and drilled a hole on thumb close to my cuticle. It hurts so bad. And still hasn't healed right. 😔🤦
Beautiful colour combo!!!!
can i use normal nailpolish remover...?
Nice and to the point.
Can you do fillings on polygels like you would acrylics?
Yes
I saw someone used a debonder. Is it any good with these?
this was uber helpful thank as i will be self teaching myself to do my nails at home , new sub here 🥰
Really like your hair 💖😌
Thank you 💖💖
What do you think about using a peel off base with the building gel? Wonder if that will work?
Oh and by the way I bought the Mark art peel off base thinking it was a good brand since you use it.
I’m very new to - and late for - this Poly gel craze. But I’ve heard that the peel off/easy off makes the gels lift fairly quickly and often before you want them to.
Great video *Subbed*
Wow the cleaning process is quite tedious IMO. Do you find polygel nails easier to clear or SNS? Thanks.
Thank you, you're a life saver.
Very helpful and informative. I'll be removing my first set next week when my new LED/UV lamp arrives :D
I did the same thing but for some reason it was so hard to take it off actually one of my nail was bleeding when I was taking it off so I’m gonna do it again hopefully I will have better luck this time it was just it was very scary but we’ll see what happens !
Loved seeing you in the beginning and your beautiful set up! YOU’RE beautiful!!
thank you❤️ it took me forever to figure out where to film in my apartment lol
your sooo pretty 💖
Can u show applying poly on toe nails?
I thought polygel didn't soak off? Well unless it specifies it does, but the polygel I have doesn't, so I thought it had to be strictly filed?
That's why I haven't used it yet.
How long did you soak your nails for?
Thanks Gabby ...
Like your hair
Thanks 💖
Is it possible to add some basecoat or similar, so that they come off faster? I like to design my nails, but I don't need them to stay on longer than two weeks. I have only worked with usual nail polish so far, but that stuff dries very fast, so I can't do certain designs. So I'm totally new to gel. What options are there, that are easy to take off? (Btw my nail polish stays on two weeks without looking damaged at all, so I'd just assume that gel would stay on even longer?) Idk, I really don't know what to buy. I just know that I would prefer to build than to file off the press on nails that everybody seems to use(they are very long and as far as I know usually have the same shape, so you'd have to file them if you want a different shape)
Can somebody pls give me some tips?
Watching from South Africa. 🫶🏾🫶🏾
Aren’t polygels toxic to breathe in at all?
You're so pretty
thank you!
@@GabbyAngelique you're welcome
Thank you
help me, i did something stupid 😣 the polygel got stuck inside the side wall (perionychium) and i cant get it off it hurt when i touch or press my nail, tried to soak it off with asetone but its still there
Did u ever get it off I would try to file the edge so u get it to lift, then try to wipe with the slip solution or if u already have cured it then try to soak it off which might hurt and burn in the process
@@blackandthick thank you for the recommendation, I did soak it off with acetone for every other day, its still there but it doesn't hurt anymore
But where is the link to the clips?
Does this work with all polygel nails? I have the Beetles Polygel kit and I’m taking mine of with a electric nail file.
Yup!
How long do you leave the acetone soaked cotton ball on your nails?
I’m not sure how long it was because I was eating dinner while they soaked , definitely over 30 min and I re-wet the cotton balls a few times so I would guess about an hour
Thank you!
Mini mani moo works great.
Hmm never tried it but definitely going to look into it!
i love this 💖💖
loved it
My nails react badly to acetone... is it absolutely necessary?
What do you mean react badly? They are supposed to dry out your nails if that's what you mean?
@@Chloe-gh1xh my nails become extremely brittle & peely. I’ve found since I’ve stopped cleaning with acetone that they are much healthier.
@@Chloe-gh1xh I’ve also found a much easier way to remove polygel without acetone or filing so all is good.
@@Saintly2 Yeah, acetone does that, it dries out your nails which makes them very brittle. Do you use any nail oils? They help a lot afterwards, or you can buy strengthening polishes to put on in-between applications.
@@Chloe-gh1xh I have made up my own nail oils and use two hand creams specifically for nails. I also take biotin. I have also started adding in a lotion that has hyaluronic (sp?) acid in it to help the skin & cuticles to begin retaining moisture. I be like some crazed detective/scientist trying out stuff. 😜
i'm just trying to take off the polish it got like wrinkly idk why
tysm omg
Dang, I wish poly gel could be removed like regular gel polish... I am so tempted to try polygel, but I'm lazy... >.
Polygel is the truth.
This might be the downside of polygel that I was looking for!
I picked and pealed mine off and damaged the shit out of nails.. oops
❤️
❤️❤️
Haha I was wondering why only one had nails on them.
mint just eventually break off or pop off 😭
It's take a lot of time and work
Nightmare
Why wud anyone use these nails when u have ur own original nails ?!
Such a hassle to take them off !
👌😻👏💐💖
