I own the Rider 1200. I had to replace the motor once. Why? Pellets remaining in auger will jam, weather, break plastic on motor. To turn off, dump all pellets, turn on high (clean grates), turn off AFTER all pellets removed from auger rotating chute.
Enjoy the video. I just purchased a used one and plan to restore it. Could you please be kind and share the links where you purchase all items replaced. I would greatly appreciate it.
I use amazon or ebay to buy most of the replacement parts for this kind of project because honestly... its all made in China. All of my parts in this video have been going strong for over 12 months now... :)
I just got one cheap off Facebook marketplace. Igniter had pulled out of the firebox, just like yours. Easy fix. What did you clean the grills with? They're super clean.
I bought the industrial grill cleaner that Sam Club sells in a 3 pack. "Commercial oven and Grill cleaner" They are white bottles with blue writing. Its straight up harsh chemicals so use a mask and gloves to avoid the accidental whiff or splash on your skin. you will choke on your breath at times or your skin will burn if you leave the cleaner on it. Anything the chemical touches will ruin the finish on paint so ... be prepared to bust out the rattle cans. :)
The square buckets look to be a generic food grade type. They have a rubber gasket as a moisture barrier (I buy second hand ones for 5 bucks). It's also just a Rider DLX (Gen1) ... the 1200 is Gen2)

They do sell control boards. I bought 1. It's about 60 bucks. Nice job bud
Mine is starting to glitch out. I may have to buy one as well. Of all the grills that I've owned this is my favorite!
