I love how Danny Elfman and Brian Tyler incorporated Alan Silvestri's theme from the first movie into this soundtrack, along with a few nods to Silvestri's Cap theme and Tyler's Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 themes.
L0L L0L L7L It was mostly all Elfman- this new theme variantion was his work, and it wasn't included in any of the Tyler tracks. Tyler incorporated his Iron Man theme in one or two tracks, (and Elfman also included it in one or two of his tracks for the film.) And it was Elfman that incoporated the Thor theme, along with the Cap theme at the end of the film. (Of course we are only hearing roughly half of Tyler's score in the film, so we don't know how much he might have used if his whole score had been used.)

I just hope Dawn of justice and Justce league will get similarely epic tunes under it's belt. The songs in the Marvel phase 2 have been so epic I can't even describe them.

I think he'd rock the electric guitar for Iron Man tracks like what he did with X-Training. And do something like the epic Mutant and Proud when/if Cap gets shot.
It's actually because the marvel themes have been starting to blur together. Not that they're bad but the phase 1 music all sounded unique. They seem to be doing something different with the phase 3 themes but they're getting the guy who did the god awful avengers 1 music for infinity war when they should've gotten me! I've got the perfect tune and everyone I've shown it to says it's better than all the other marvel themes. (Shameless self promotion)
I will have to say that Danny Elfman is a really good composer and it's nice to get to see his music back in a Marvel Movie with his last time doing it was Spider-Man 2. But this was a lazy solution in my opinion. He took pretty much the Fable 1 theme that he did years back and edited in the themes from the other marvel movies. It's not bad, just a bit lazy.

Civil War's theme should sounds a bit more depressing than this bc of the fall of the Avengers, instead of a up beat heroic theme like this. For that reason, some may feel Civil War's is less interesting than this.
Civil War was amazing, but I honestly expected better from Jackman after TWS soundtrack. Civil War's sounded really generic and had a very simple theme, unlike TWS or AOU or Iron Man 3... I could go on. My big gripe in a film that was otherwise nearly flawless.
It's good, but unfortunately the best parts are still the bits with the original theme worked in there. I feel like this theme kinda fits Thor, Vision, and the two Enhanced. It's clear they're already breaking away from Iron Man and Cap, moving on to more "comic book" stuff, and I'm excited for that! It will be tough to let the original Avengers go, though.
