- Thorn and Timber were both found alone in the wild, unable to survive on their own. Thanks to community support, they found a new home at the Oregon Zoo.
Support from the Oregon Zoo Foundation enhances and expands the zoo’s efforts in conservation, education and animal welfare. Members, donors and corporate and foundation partners help the zoo make a difference across the region and around the world. To contribute, go to www.oregonzoo.org/donate Животные
Black bears can live long, happy lives in a proper zoo environment, and having a friend that's like the siblings they would almost certainly have in the wild is the best.
Thanks to all for your care and devotion in helping those in need
Thank you for supporting all wildlife and ecosystems.

Such sweet cubies!! It is amazing getting to see them thrive together it’s unfortunate that they lost their mom’s & didn’t get to grow up in the wild however this zoo is the next best place for them & I know they will get the absolute BEST care thank you Oregon Zoo(and Alaska Zoo,Alaska airlines)for giving Timber & Thorn this 2nd chance at a wonderful life together one that without human help, they wouldn’t have gotten.🐻🌲🤎🌻🤗

While I appreciate you personally and your care for the animals, zoos shouldn't exist.
You're putting stress of human encounter on animals just to profit off them, while not giving them enough space to thrive.
Sanctuaries can and do the jobs that you're describing here including caring for animals and even rehabing them, (which most zoos don't do, they rather put rescues on display for money)
Zoo animals pace and are very unhappy and bored. This is pretty much universal for zoos.
All to pay the 6 figure 200k salaries of your CEO, executive director and finance director..
they will be very happy here with all the care they need to grow up happy & healthy. they are together ❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻
