@dalton4490 uhm? Yes they can, a portable filter is essentially a pod of coffee, it holds the grounds and uses water to pull a shot, the same thing happens inside the pod machine, the only difference is that the pods (which are replacing the portafilter) have a lower quality coffee bean... buy like he said, you could get a decent shot. (Nespresso pods actually have a decent taste)
@jackd787 really? I feel like I've watched every piece of content from all the major players in RUclips coffee on the Bambino comparing it to the gotcha and the guy she just seems like such a hassle unless you're willing to modify it. I like the Simplicity of being able to kind of plug and play with basic skills on pulling a shot and at the same time being able to get more involved. I can have a cortado in hand and be locking the kitchen door less than five minutes after heading downstairs! I didn't want to have to wait on a Silvia to warm up either but that sounds like a genuine upgrade. This thermojet technology is no joke! If they had put a pressure meter and allowed you to set a couple degrees hotter as your preferred Brew temperature this would be the complete package! What is your current machine?
I've tried ristretto, i must admit it was very sour but the after taste becomes very sweet. Strangely, that was the first time i've taste ristretto and instantly became my favourite drink (due to how sweet in aftertaste). 😋👍
Changing the brew time instead of the grind is not how you do it. It gives you the opposite effect. It makes ristretto more sour. And longio more bitter. Lazy barista do this
Assuming you dilute to same volume with milk/water, It's a little stronger and because of the very short extraction time the coffee tastes different. Atleast for pod machines it does
Agreed, double ristretto in milk seems to be the only way to get good coffee out of a pod machine. Assuming your pod machine has a ristretto setting
even with Nespresso if you double ristretto, you can get some solid coffee.
Pod machines can't do espresso so can't do a ristretto...
Pods don't do espresso. Period.
Yes they do and it's delicious @@dalton4490

How do you get to a double ristretto? Pull a shot twice for a shorter time?
Ristretto is a single dose = 7-8gm of Coffee, double rist is double dose =18-20gm. And you keep liquid same size as beans.
my morning coffee: cortado
anything after is espresso and when I just need a quick boost ristretto is my goto.
Wow. Looks heavenly
They make the smoothest Americanos.
Ristretto appreciation!
Loving my Bambino Plus !
It’s great!
Man, wait until you try a Rancilio Silvia or Gaggia Classic… SO much better!

I have the bambino plus too and I've been wanting to pull a ristretto shot, any tips?

What’s the difference between ristretto and Cortada?
Cortado is a double espresso with equal volume of milk. Ristretto he has explained, there's no milk in it.
Now that was a great "coffee up!:
And we’re back!

What's the ratio?
ristretto = espresso with rizz
rizztretto
Ristretto is the type of coffee maniacs drink fr. Bitter and hella strong
its only bitter if the barista didnt get the grind and timing right
Wouldn't a double ristretto just be a normal espresso?
Mmm double ristretto with distilled milk sounds good
Ristretto late my fave
What’s the difference between a double rust retro and a regular espresso ?
