I find myself doing more in person second hand shopping as a way of ensuring I like the item once it isn't brand new and a chance to try on brands that I can't access an actual store. It has really shown me some brands that seem consistent with their quality which has influenced the stores buy new from.

I love the tip about loving it when its worn in!! That’s something I never considered because we always love how it looks when its brand new but never think about why we replace it so quickly with something new because its worn in 😅

So glad to see you using your well worn flats. There’s a difference between clothing looking worn and worn out and we need to make the former perfectly acceptable!
I’ve also been coveting the puzzle bag since 2017ish and this weekend I finally went for it. I only turn 40 once😄

Yes exactly! while yes, it's nice to have that untouched, brand new thing in your closet, remembering it doesn't (and won't) look like that forever should play a role in the purchasing decision :)
And what a gift for your 40th! Happy Birthday!!! What colour did you go with?

@ thank you☺️ I really wanted forest green but at such a price point I decided that classic tan would be more practical and get the most use

@Mademoiselle - This video couldn’t have come at a better time! Just did a closet declutter and your experience and wisdom - particularly from this video - is definitely keeping me on track to shopping mindfully in the near future and to make the most and appreciate the pieces I already have.
I had several blazers - some that I even forgot I had and I then had to make realistic decisions on what should stay in the longterm.
Separate note - 1:49 - I fell in love with those very shoes when you first got them and last year, (many years later!) I finally found them in my size for £70 at my favourite consignment shop. Thank you for sharing your style - you never know who you will inspire and the beauty of your choices is they are so timeless and yet, effortlessly modern and fresh and fun! Keep up your amazing content and wishing you a continuously fabulous 2025!
    Sending love from England! ❤️🇬🇧✨

Considering the shape of the pre loved Loewe bag is such a good point and expert advice. I have a Celine Boston bag in a smokey gorgeous Grey suede and I loved it and wore it so much in the past. When its rigid square shape completely gave in, I brought it to Celine to see if anything could be done to restore the shape as Ioved it so much.Unfortunately they said there was nothing they could do. I put the bag away for some years, contemplated on getting rid of it many times and now that suede is having a come back , I have been using it for a slouchy and chic hand held look. I am so glad I kept it because I love the color. I have been considering the Celine medium bucket and the Loewe for a few years now. Thank you for helping me avoid being disappointed with an overly used one.

Definitely one of the elements of adding something into your wardrobe that I think is easy to overlook as we tend to focus more on how it fits into our lifestyle. So glad this was helpful! x

Excellent video and thank you for mentioning the importance of reading fiber content labels. Fibers have changed a lot, and there are more blends and high tech fibers now, including something called recycled polyester. I've seen it in everything from jeans to swimsuits, and I am personally avoiding this fiber, because I'm concerned about the presence of potentially harmful chemicals used during manufacturing. Just something to be aware of. I am saving this video to watch again... very helpful!! 🤗 ✨️

The shoes you wore in this video are beautiful, my dear sister.
Did you wear these shoes without socks?
