Using stock images is such a good idea. The thought of having to photograph my entire wardrobe is honestly intimidating enough for me to never start, but using website photos as much as possible makes it feel so much more doable. Now if only sezane would provide actual clear photos of their items lol
I started using this app in march and I love seeing the months fill up with outfits. One thing I like to do is if I’m considering making a purchase, I add the item to my closet and see how much it actually works with my things before spending the money. Making returns is really bad for the environment and something I try to avoid, and when I purchase new things, they tend to be more expensive. This “audition” process has made me more honest with myself!
I do the same ! I have to createb a certain number of outfits before I get the thing and I need to "confirm" they work in order to keep them. I loved a blazer I bought from Arket but it didn't pass the confirmation outfits so I sent it back.
I've been digitizing my entire wardrobe with Google Docs (Collection, Wishlist, Declutter) and Google Slides (Lookbook), and I'm so proud of the outfits I've been able to create. It helps me get a better understanding and appreciation of everything I own 😊
I've been using Indyx for about 5 months and I agree with everything you said, it helps me so much to see the big picture of my wardrobe. I can find patterns to my preferences and habits a lot faster and reflect on how much I liked what I wore, and its just fun to create outfits whenever I think of them. I even add clothing items I'm thinking of buying and style a bunch of outfits to help me decide whether I should purchase them or not.
I've been silently watching your vids in the past few days (just newly subscribed to the channel too!) and I'm feeling super inspired by them despite our personal style not being too similar tbh I've only been using Indyx officially for a month but it's fun how it's basically gamefied my wardrobe. It's like it's training my brain to want to figure out new outfits and get the wear out of most of my clothing bc of the stats I get, the lower the cost per wear the higher the dopamine hit lol. Also, in my experience the Indyx layout of the clothing itself made it super obvious to me the articles of clothing that don't match the rest of my wardrobe in a colour palette sense or even a silhouette that seems off with the rest of my clothes. It's been pretty eye-opening and since downloading it, it makes me simultaneously more picky and more open to adding new clothes to my closet using the new insight I'm getting through the stats and such. anyways lovely and thoughtful video as always xx
Great video, Helen; I've been waiting for this one! I've been tracking my wardrobe in a spreadsheet for years, and it was getting mundane. It has become much easier and more inspiring since I started using this app. I think it is worth it if you want to dress better and love data. Please do an update after some time, would love to hear your thoughts on how using a digital wardrobe app changed your approach to buying, etc. 💕
I'm obsessed. I've been using a spreadsheet but will switch to the app. I think it will greatly help with packing and easily seeing gaps or excess. Plus, it just looks fun.
Great Helen,i use this app too. Sometimes i Use a background eraser app so i can put clothes on make a selfie in Front of a White wall so i have the Look from the jumper or coat when i wear it ❤❤❤
I love this! I just started using the app this month. The only feature I wish it had is to categorize a handmade garment (for my hand knitted sweaters). The app only gives me a choice between new and secondhand.
Umm. No. I did it and thought be game changer. After a while was dull and not creative; but did have some useful pre-curated outfits. It’s fashion / dressing up “calories counting” equivalent.

The App whering supports this 😊
Using a digital app for my wardrobe definitely helped me organized and see what I already have.
Hello! can you tell me where is the brown bag with metal handle is from?
❤
Anyone remember the stardoll game? 😅
Oh I loved this game…my mom spent a few dollars (or euros as I live in Europe) in this game for me 😅
Omg yes! Spent so much time in there
Have you tried letting AI make outfits for you?
