This is gorgeous! I looked up the yarn and saw it’s a size 3 weight. I have that size in my stash I’m going to use it to make this. Yay! What size hook did you use?
I used a uk 6mm you can use any size if you use a bigger hook it will be lighter and more open. My yarn said 4mm uk hook I used a 6
It's so beautiful, I like the name u gave it😅😅 thanks for sharing🙏💖
My pleasure 😊 bit difficult to say properly in a hurry ha ha ha
Allison first I love your voice. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Crock .
You explain in good way I have got learning difficulties but your video make it so easy for me. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much for lovely video keep it up with good work. Is nice to laugh there and there.
Do you have facebook or Instagram? so I can show you images what I made all my work going To NHS Nurses Drs just to say thank you for care they give
Hi Alison can I use 1dk wool or will I need to double up? Also have you heard of a programme called yarn lane TV?
yes, Melanie you can use any yarn and no need to double up if you dont want to. They yarn I used was very thin so I doubled up. I could have done it with the one ball it would have been lighter too more spring wearing than winter. I need it doubled its snowing here today ha ha ha
Going to try this scarf. Cant wait...
I’m making a rainbow one!🌈
Yess ill be making this.
it is beautiful
I absolutely love this
Thank you so much 💓
I'm glad you like it
Wow so beautiful! I’m making some for sure.💖 Thank you for the pattern🎄💖
So very lovely!!
WOW! I have to try this one. It's amazing, just as you said. The yarn you chose was excellent as well. Beautiful work Alison 😍
I wonder how it will turn out with an increase on every second row, then with one tr in each, every other row ... 🤔
Thank you! 😊Marianne try it your way that's what crochet is all about experimenting and having fun. So yes try it your way
Lovely💚 thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Love this well done x
Thank you!! 😊Zak Xxx
Beautiful scarf! I listened to the beginning twice but I didn't hear what size hook you're using. It looks like a large one? And an estimate of how much yarn? I realize that depends on which yarn you choose, but I like to order enough for a project. Thanks so much! I always enjoy your channel.
UK 6mm USA I/9
@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel Thanks!
Hi Alison, this is beautiful. May I ask what size crochet hook you are using? Could I use two different colours of wool and if so what thickness would it need to be? I've tried to look for McLana Bobbel online but have had no joy Thank you, Angela x
I used a uk 6mm hook, you can use any yarn or any combinations of yarn you like, Angela Experiment with a sample and see what you come up with. That's what I do.
Beautiful
Thank you
Just beautiful 💖x
Thank you! 😊 Claire need a few as it's snowing here. I should make a small one for muttley.
@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel or a long one and wrap it all around him 🤣🤣
Beautiful Alison, what size hook are you using and how much yarn would I need
i use a UK 6mm think its a usa I/9 the amount depends on how big you make it i doubled mine up each ball was 200g and used about 175g
Nice!!! Do you have a pattern for little girls?
just make it shorter, and do 2 rows of the treble crochet rows instead of 3 this will shorten it.
Thank you!!!
Thank you, Alison. The scarf is beautiful. Do you think it would work with the faux fur type of yarn?
Yes it does! I have some and have done 3 rows I did it 40 inches it's more compact but looking fine so far.
En tono oscuro, no se distingue lo que teje, puede hacerlo en tono clato. Gracias
Alison hi, how do i get the pattern for this...I want to give it a go
I want to send you a pic! Of my scarf
What size crotchet hook are you using? Thanks
Hi Alison, thank you so much for another great design and tutorial 👏😁
If I might ask what was the total yardage/grams you used for your scarf? I want to make sure I have enough yarn to make this lovely scarf
200g
The yarn i used was very thin so there was a of of it (i'd make sure i had at least 300g of double knitting but im sure you will still only need around 200g )
@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel …bless you and thank you so much for your reply. You have a dreamy accent and I love, love, love the way you encourage before you begin in your videos (I watched quite a few last night ☺️) plus the way you the teach. You inspire 💜
@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel How many would that be? BTW, what a beautiful design!
What weight is the yarn you are using? What size hook did you use?
weight 3 i used a uk 4mm hook
I really love your tutorials thank you so much for helping us beginners to learn how to do these amazing projects. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Can somebody tell me how long it took them to make this scarf? Now I'm it and it's taking a while to it .🤦🏽♀️
I did mine in a few hours I can crochet quick, many people have made in through the day. It takes longer if you made it quite long to start with
@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel oh okay I think i used the wrong yarn and I did make it rather long.
👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
Nice pattern but had to frog the entire project. 300g (as she suggests in one of the comments) is not nearly enough. I assumed a size 5 yarn would equal what she uses in the video but I only got to the first DC/3DC round so there was not enough to do the last 3 rows. I took a chance as the details of the yarn used and hook size were not explained in the video and/or the description. That aside, the instructions were clear.
Sorry you had to rip out your project the yarn i used was a light 3 weight from what i know of USA yarn a 5 is qite thick yarn.
@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel Thank you. I used Premier Puzzle yarn, which is only slightly larger than worsted weight in case this helps anyone. It's not as bulky as many other 5 weights. I've used it instead of many worsted weight yarn projects and it was slightly bulkier. I figured 2 strands of 3 together would be similar. My mistake. I will definitely try this again with more yarn as I love the pattern.
where can i find the pattern please
if you google corkscrew scarf I'm sure there will be patterns available somewhere its an old idea.
