I owned this same model/year Bayliner 34... bought it new back in 2002 for $175K with twin Mercruiser gas inboards. The Cummins diesels were a $17K upgrade and I think the thrusters were another 5K or 8K. I think this exact model sold for about $225K. I loaded mine up with 8 golf cart batteries and did not need a generator. I won the Seattle Boat Lighting Content during the Winter of 2004, competing against a dozen million dollar yachts with just those batteries. This particular boat looks awesome... very, very, light usage for so many years. I'd buy it again. Happy Boating!
This review was actually valuable . 99.99% of your super yachts are unattainable for most of the viewers . Thank you will consider this boat when I upgrade
The galley was very nice, and the separate shower on a boat that size surprised me. Other great features were the exterior staircase, the vac system, and the transom sliders. They managed to incorporate all the must haves in a boat that would be easy to maneuver anywhere and a joy to live on for a week, a month or a year. ❤️
I love this boat. Not only perfect for a single person, but perfect size for empty nesters. Fun and affordable, and if I only could get the wife to say yes. She doesn’t share the dream, maybe I need a new wife with a stern thruster.
Stop watching you tube and go and work. Due to workers shortage even taco bell is paying 14 per hour x 12 hrs x 7 days = 1170 dollars in just week, more than enough for month rent and groceries and still enough time to watch this lady’s cute ass video 😂 .

You both are incredibly knowledgeable, and take your inspections seriously. Not just "Isn't this pretty", but the important things- Storage, engines (including access), electronics, generators, etc but also usability and comfort. Great vids. Thank you, be safe, fair sailing.
Ok, I know I’m suppose to be paying attention to the boat, but I must say Victoria’s hair cut in this video is absolutely fabulous. I miss my Chris Craft, and you guys have helped make it through my “no more boat” depression.
Great tour, we had the 2004 Meridian version of this boat, it solidified our boating addiction. I highly recommend the model. Now with an Ocean Alexander, I miss the simplicity of our little 3488 Meridian. We had some great times on the water in that little boat. Small enough to offer the romance of being on the water and void of the complexity and reality of owning a larger vessel.
I was skeptical at first to want to spend 100k for a 20 yr old Bayliner but ended up saying not too shabby. I think with 2 engines and a 3.2 ft draft one can do the intracoastal and maybe even the Dismal Swamp, perhaps even the Great Loop. I was impressed. Thank you for the review and as always you guys are a pleasure to watch. Thanks again.
We all know the expression, 'you get what you pay for' but you found a great example of 'you get your monies worth, plus !' Lot of features for a smaller craft, a great, reliable, economic weekender or as you point out a live aboard for a single or a couple. You have really pushed all the buttons on this one, thanks again for your info and valued advice. Be safe
So happy you did it for those of us who are into great sailing or motor-sailing with a limited wallet! I'd love to see some sailing boats, real blue-water sailing boats under 250,000. It may not be as glamorous as the big yachts you show but this type of boat is certainly more affordable to a lot more people. Here's a fun one for you. This is probably the most casual outfit I have seen you wear Victoria...and possibly the cutest!
I never considered myself a boating person. Like ever. But now I kind of want something like this. Thanks. Very interesting. Need more affordable yacht tours.
I'm absolutely gobsmacked that this boat doesn't have a generator. A bow AND stern thruster but no gen? Insanity. I don't know how it made it over 20 years without someone adding one! Very cool boat.
This boat was rarely taken out. That is why the engines are not even broken in yet. My guess it sat empty and lonely and was just not used for whatever reason.
This was the first boat that my wife and myself had bought. Believe it or not the one we purchased used was even in better shape than that one. What I mean is the original owner bought some marine carpet and covered all the factory carpet with another carpet on top of it. He put snaps on the carpet and on the deck. Even the top carpet look like nobody had ever walked across it. The original carpet still had that new carpet smell. The only physical difference was that the one we had in a stern had a fold down seat. We did not even realize that until after buying the boat. We just assumed it was storage. The dealer at the boat show told us a story about the original owner. He was telling us that everyone at the dealer knew the owners by name just for the fact of always stopping by to have upgraded parts put on and servicing it. We were given two thick binders full of all the work that he had done to about. When we ask why did they want to get rid of it That's when they told us that they wanted something bigger and something with a generator. They said that the owners started having health issues and really could not enjoy the boat without air conditioning. So after the boat show they set up a test drive and we fell in love with it immediately. If you really get into boating a boat like this is a great start. It doesn't cost nowhere near what a brand new one would. Just like the original owners we decided to go bigger and to make sure that any boat we purchased had to have a generator on it. The boat is fine if you're running from dock to dock but if you want to stay anchored up somewhere and it's a hundred degrees outside there's not much you're going to do to cool down. I enjoyed this video.
If you're 14, you'd better grow out of this shit quick. It's not that it's sexist so much as it is lame and unoriginal. You're gonna be talking to older girls pretty soon and the difference between a 14 year old and an 18 year old in terms of maturity is massive. You're gonna need to learn to be original, interesting and funny to actually get someone's attention. If you're over 20 and still say this shit, reflect. Maybe this is why you are only comfortable talking to guys and only address women in the group when addressing the group entirely. Why are your other guy friends getting all the girls' attention? You're just as good looking as they are. But you do get the feeling that they're uncomfortable around you. See why that may be.

I have had NOTHING BUT NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES WITH the line up unfortunately. At first glance, they appear quite useable and stylish. After owning one for awhile I had changed my opinions drastically. Great video review, makes a nice change from the large yachts that a lot of RUclips viewers will never be able to afford, love the out takes at the end too
Thanks to your video tour - I went and BOUGHT ONE OF THESE BOATS!!!! The Bayliner 3488 is a rather rare model as they only made it for two years and I had never even seen one until I found your video. IF you ever come here to do some boating, let me know and I'd be happy to show you around :) Thanks, Dave
Totally enjoyed this tour, we like the smaller yachts. My wife said this would be a great weekender boat when we retire to Florida in a few years. Thanks!
☺ You guys make these tours fun, love the interacting between a fun couple. always educational and a great joy ride.. stay strong together no matter what.. Blessings.
Wow guys, surprised to see al that on such a small frame. I thought it was funny when Victoria was in the shower. Rico moves camera up and down; 'yep, absolutely functional' 😏 Really enjoyable guys, thanks
Yes, but how tall/short is she? Decent space in that shower. If I had the money years ago would have loved that boat, alas wasn't to be as we went for a nice used 31' twin gas engine boat. Had fun for 8 years then had to move on from it.
Thank you for the info... I am looking at small yachts now. So this was interesting as I know nothing about living on the water, but will be doing exactly that in about a year
Y'all keep calling this boat small... This boat has more square footage than my first apartment... Damn... I already felt poor... Now I feel REALLY poor...
Very nice boat...lot's of great features for the money. Many will knock a Bayliner but most who do so have never been on one. They are very good boats, and this one is exceptionally clean and well kept.
As a former owner of an 'affordable' Bayliner 2455 Ciera Sunbridge, my family absolutely loved our boat. So happy our kids grew up around sunny weekends at Seneca Lake. Say what you want about Bayliner.... pretty sure you're just repeating something you've heard with no firsthand experience. We loved ours. And looking at this featured boat is pretty exciting. It might be a reach, but still could be an achievable dream for most of us 'regular' folks who want to live that lifestyle. I don't see it for us here in Upstate NY with the winters, but if I lived in Florida, this boat would be tempting.
When I retire, I have visions of doing many things. This is low on my list but it is not totally out of the question. I like the simplicity and price. I could see myself and the wife cruising around town in this.
That boat shows really well. Nice video. I know a lot want to mock Bayliner, but for a boat that age and price, it offers a TON of value. Plus bow/stern thrusters.
It looks great! Depending on income level this could be a starter for some, but maybe a life goal in retirement for others. Saying “starter” multiple times isn’t great for welcoming a wider online audience. You describe the boat really well. Best to just do that and not get into who it appeals to. Let viewers decide for themselves.
That’s a perfect craft for weekend excursions away from the dock. There is Plenty of room to do a modest generator install and lengthen the battery bank Maybe even some solar too. Would be an absolute necessity bc With all that counter space, I’d expect the margarita machine to permanently Find its way on board !!
Stumbled onto your vid by chance, and watched the whole thing! Entertaining but also very informative. I'm not looking for a yacht, but if I were....your channel would be my first resource.
Just spent 2 hours trawling RUclips for affordable motor cruisers and didn't have the smarts to check in on a channel I subscribe to!!!!!!!!! Ah well, them's the breaks🙃😂 And now I find the first boat that ticks all the boxes - go figure! A non negotiable for me is the diesel power plant package and this boat is just sooo well specced in that regard. Plan would be as a live aboard and I find the layout very appealing. Condition and price I suspect make this vessel a 'one of a kind' however does suggest they are out there if you persist. Would be remiss not to acknowledge the professional presentation, including the banter as the tour progresses, and Victoria's ever ready smile. Very informative and enjoyed.
Great review on a boat that would make a great week ender or live aboard!!! I have lived aboard a 37ft Sloop but never really looked at a power boat and this was great insight!
@@NautiStyles Most Marinas in Southern Cal do not permit "Live a Board" except for 10 days a month. Check Newport Beach and San Diego. I think it's the same thing in LA.
@@NautiStyles Same thing up here around Portland. So i expanded my thinking and realised that i could simply make sure to keep my boat in good operable condition and leave my berth in the late afternoon or early evening, motor (or sail) a mile or less up or down river, as that is my situation and put out my anchor outside of the main channel. No worries power wise as my boat had been charged up by shore power so i had enough inverter power to meet whatever needs i had for the evening and the next morning. Then whenever i pleased head back to my slip to replenish my battery bank and be in good standing to do it again the next night. Plus, i don't think many marinas are going to be so restrictive that they won't let you spend a night now and again on your boat in your slip. Think outside the box and problem solved!

awesome boat for a single fella or small framed couple, wish I would have seen this right after u filmed I would have bought it!!
☺ You guys make these tours fun, love the interacting between a fun couple. always educational and a great joy ride.. stay strong together no matter what.. Blessings.
That tshirt was a great throw back !!!
Wow guys, surprised to see al that on such a small frame. I thought it was funny when Victoria was in the shower. Rico moves camera up and down; 'yep, absolutely functional' 😏
Really enjoyable guys, thanks
Yes, but how tall/short is she? Decent space in that shower. If I had the money years ago would have loved that boat, alas wasn't to be as we went for a nice used 31' twin gas engine boat. Had fun for 8 years then had to move on from it.
😂😂😂
sure wish this boat was closed to Texas gulf coast, it would be sold!
Victoria hair is incredibly AWESOME. Fantastic tour & Rico rules. Thanks guys loved it. 🚢 ⛵ 🌴
ooow thank youuu
Having a yacht is more obtainable then I thought….pure motivation!!
That would also be a great boat for empty nesters, not just young folk. Nice for entertaining another couple or two. Love the diesels!
Yup good luck
this boat is simply perfect. Really enjoyed watching it. Thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely beautiful… and the boats kinda nice too!
Nice stern
This is one of your best videos, looks like you were both having fun. Plus it's a nice little boat.
Definitely a thumbs up for the video 👍
Thanks so much!
If you're 30 years old, it's probably not as far away as you think.. A lot of that may depend on you. Time is so valuable.
Awesome walk-a-round on the perfect starter motoryacht
agreed 😊
Amazing how much they fit into that space. Very nice boat!
AWESOME couple. Great and funny. Thank you for the boat info. Love to see you both injoy each other as beautiful marriage. Keep the great work.
Our pleasure! Thank you so much!
Nice boat for 19 years old.
Perfect starter!
Thanks you 2.
You're so cute!
You two might be the cutest couple on RUclips. Merry Christmas!!🎁🎄
We agree! we love our Meridian which was made by the same yard...
💯
"Am I repeating you?" that look tells me that someone is sleeping outside tonight. :)
lol we always repeat each other, but sometimes I think he is doing it on purpose 🙈😂
MGTOW
@@NautiStyles ❤ I love it also the way you show every little detail & you both are honesty ❤ so thank you. Don't change anything!!!
Nice ni ps!
@@NautiStyles nightmare
Lovely little $110,000 “starter” yacht. Great fun while I’m saving up for that $2 million “intermediate” yacht.
hehe, you and me both
When I retire, I have visions of doing many things. This is low on my list but it is not totally out of the question. I like the simplicity and price. I could see myself and the wife cruising around town in this.
Two things NautiSyles should do more often - review affordable small yachts and have Victoria wear tight leggings. It's a win-win!
Anyone else watching cause she's equally as hot as the boat? Smokin!
I'd beat!
Looks like a Karen, I'll pass.
She’s Nauti.
@@dowskivisionmagicaloracle8593 She is not at all. Ive known her for years. She is super cool
Must be cold out😎❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
You both did a superb job covering this yacht very thoroughly. As always a delightful visit!
It's a very nice boat for that size. You have all you need. What i suggest is a generator and extended tank, and it's absolutely perfect.
really nice boat and like the high beams
Thank you. I needed a $110k starter yacht suggestion. Fledgling millionaire problems. Ugh.
😝🤣
Just wait for your next stimulus check.
@@billp4 Some people are literally earning more with unemployment and stimulus checks than they did working full time. Kinda crazy.
Wait this is only 100k~?
Beautiful...all the right stuff in all the right places😋Oh...the Bayliner is nice too.
That’s a perfect craft for weekend excursions away from the dock. There is Plenty of room to do a modest generator install and lengthen the battery bank
Maybe even some solar too. Would be an absolute necessity bc With all that counter space, I’d expect the margarita machine to permanently Find its way on board !!
You 2 are awesome. Fun to watch you and hubby having fun.
That was one heck of a sailboat you were standing in front of in the house intro explanation!
what you like a Tour of it? we can definitely make that happen 😜
Moody 54ds 🥜 it's my favorite
@@NautiStyles I would love a tour of that sailing yacht. It's beautiful
@Ꮙꅏꅏ ᏉꅏꅏᏉ yacht
@@NautiStyles Prove it...
Great presentation! I look forward to the outtakes as much as the tour. :)
thank youuuu
Just what I need. A "starter" yacht.
An oxymoron if I ever heard one.😂
Cheaper than a "starter" wife.
You guys do such an amazing job presenting and reviewing that you could do an amazing job of reviewing even a row boat or a canoe!! 🤩
Stumbled onto your vid by chance, and watched the whole thing! Entertaining but also very informative. I'm not looking for a yacht, but if I were....your channel would be my first resource.
Welcome to the channel
Great tour Victoria, y'all do a great job 👏 together!
Thanks for watching
Is that specific 3488 for sale?
Great boat tour and great outfit Victoria!
Thanks so much!
Consider getting some video of the boats driving on the water. 🌊 🌊 🚣♀️ 🚣♀️
Again great job guys. You are awesome. I don't even own a boat but i love to watch you.
😝🥳🥳🥳
🛥Thats a Great Yacht especially for the price Yacht Life is the Best 🌅
You got that right!
Great review on a boat that would make a great week ender or live aboard!!! I have lived aboard a 37ft Sloop but never really looked at a power boat and this was great insight!
powerboats give definitely way more living space for Marina Liveaboard Lifestyle
Nice to tour a 34' boat but even this size is beyond my budget. Actually a plastic inflatable is beyond my budget!
U guys are awesome u bring hilarious antics to a well done showing of some really nice boats that I guy like me to dream. That size boat would be the smallest I would take out on the oceans
Great walk around, thank you Victoria and Rico.
