Randy Meisner, by far the all time best singing voice in the Eagles. It wasn't until the super voice and guitar talent of Vince Gill came along that the band has come closer to replacing Randy.
Great to see Waddy, Phil, and Bernard up there in the old old days at the Joint. This evolved into Waddy's own Monday night jams at the Joint with all sorts of stars joining in:
Johnny Rivers, Danny Kootch, Terry Reid, Rick Rosas, Blondie Chaplain. Loved the Joint!

Randy Meisner joined in for three songs. I bet he could sing “Peaceful Easy Feeling” “Take It to the Limit”, and “Already Gone.” in his sleep.
Hearing his "Already Gone" here was a real treat. You're missed.

Randy was a HUGE part of those first few Eagles Albums...without his bass parts and those incredible vocals, they would have been only half a band!!!!!!
Man, I was 12 when I first heard this in Moms 1072 Monte Carlo in New Jersey.
Mom turned it up and I was mesmerized listening to Take it to the Limit!
    GOD Rest Randy Meisner!

He's looking a little rough, but he can still sing. I sure missed him on all the tours starting in 1994 going forward. I so wanted him in the band. I saw Bernie Leaden with the Eagles at the Forum on a "get together " tour. Randy was mentioned that he wasn't feeling well...to say the least! Maybe he thought folks forgot about him? Certainly NOT! The Don & Glenn (RIP) 😂show ruled. 3 original members were driven out of a magnificent band.😢

I was there that night. The house band for Jack Tempchin’s regular Monday night gig was:
    Waddy Wachtel guitar
    Rick Rosas bass (Neil Young)
Bernard Fowler backup vocals (Rolling Stones)
    Phil Jones, drums (Tom Petty)
The who’s who of rock and roll would come sit in with Jack when they were in town. Johnny Rivers was a regular and got up to sing a few songs that night. I got to hang out out front between sets and talked with all the guys. Everyone was very friendly. Randy and Jack were real genuine people. They also all signed a telecaster I had in my trunk.

Still in great voice but in 2000 he was 54. Looks 10 years older. Drugs take their toll.

Still lived another 23 years amazingly. Outlived Glenn Frey and the two leaders of his former band Poco. 77 years isn’t a bad age. May he Rest In Peace ❤

I'm 78 now. The downward slope has become more steep. Ok get back on track, "Take it to the Limit" is the VERY BEST Eagles song for 1 simple reason: RANDY MEISNER ❤ RIP you are loved & the sound of your beautiful voice is still with us.

One more viewer who failed to read the description: "BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT THE GUITAR BEING TOO LOUD: The camcorder was in front of the amps. The P.A. speakers were overhead, aimed at the crowd in the room. Be happy that you can see him this close up, in a small club, not some little dot on an arena stage."

I remember when I was out in L A back in 2002. I was there on a Monday night hanging out with my friend Terry Reid. We were standing in the kitchen talking and watee walk back and asked me to leave the area because it's for band members only. Terry told him to go tune his guitar so he left in a huff with his tail between his. Terry and I went out the back and smoke a joint together and had a good laugh on Waddy . Terry said to me why do you think they call him Waddy . Poor guy 🤣🤣
