Randy Meisner, by far the all time best singing voice in the Eagles. It wasn't until the super voice and guitar talent of Vince Gill came along that the band has come closer to replacing Randy. Great to see Waddy, Phil, and Bernard up there in the old old days at the Joint. This evolved into Waddy's own Monday night jams at the Joint with all sorts of stars joining in: Johnny Rivers, Danny Kootch, Terry Reid, Rick Rosas, Blondie Chaplain. Loved the Joint!
Randy Meisner joined in for three songs. I bet he could sing “Peaceful Easy Feeling” “Take It to the Limit”, and “Already Gone.” in his sleep. Hearing his "Already Gone" here was a real treat. You're missed.
Randy was a HUGE part of those first few Eagles Albums...without his bass parts and those incredible vocals, they would have been only half a band!!!!!! Man, I was 12 when I first heard this in Moms 1072 Monte Carlo in New Jersey. Mom turned it up and I was mesmerized listening to Take it to the Limit! GOD Rest Randy Meisner!

He's looking a little rough, but he can still sing. I sure missed him on all the tours starting in 1994 going forward. I so wanted him in the band. I saw Bernie Leaden with the Eagles at the Forum on a "get together " tour. Randy was mentioned that he wasn't feeling well...to say the least! Maybe he thought folks forgot about him? Certainly NOT! The Don & Glenn (RIP) 😂show ruled. 3 original members were driven out of a magnificent band.😢
@stevenjordanmoreno8163 yes, he did. COPD was the cause of death. If he could have been in the Eagles, I don't think he would have had the same outcome. Tragic ending for him.
I love Randy!! My mother was crazy over Randy Miesner. They passed within two days of each other! She went to heaven with Randy and Jesus singing her on!!!♥️♥️♥️
I was there that night. The house band for Jack Tempchin’s regular Monday night gig was: Waddy Wachtel guitar Rick Rosas bass (Neil Young) Bernard Fowler backup vocals (Rolling Stones) Phil Jones, drums (Tom Petty) The who’s who of rock and roll would come sit in with Jack when they were in town. Johnny Rivers was a regular and got up to sing a few songs that night. I got to hang out out front between sets and talked with all the guys. Everyone was very friendly. Randy and Jack were real genuine people. They also all signed a telecaster I had in my trunk.
I forgot to mention…it was a free gig, just a bunch of working musicians getting out to play on a Monday night. I went back several times when was in town.
