Love the Harper tunic and the jumpsuit. I am an American living in Tanzania so I will be making these in African printed cloth. When I go home to the USA for Christmas, I will buy some solid, natural fabrics. Thanks. Happy sewing.
I think its incredibly generous that ES has made these patterns available to us. I've always loved the Clyde work pants so those will definitelt be first. ❤
Mel! Would you possibly be willing to share the patterns? I missed out but would love to make them, and make a donation. Please let me know and thank you! 🙏
Close pants are first on my list. What a wonderful thing to do to turn a sad thing into a happy thing and spread so much love around. I hope this opens huge doors for her in the sewing community
Im glad someone like her was so generous, sadly i couldnt download them, but i Will be gladly Buy them if she puts them on her web one day! I loved the dresses! Thanks for sharing 💞🥰
Thank you so much Elisabeth. I am a new sewer and I love your channel. I cannot wait to get some skills and be able to make beautiful clothes like these.
I just heard of Elizabeth Suzann and checked out her designs. Loved the minimalist approach, clean lines and beautiful natural fabrics. I did not get to download so has anyone downloaded and willing to share by email. I will definitely make donations whether I receive patterns or not. That had to be a very tough decision. Not made lightly at all. I understand and on ES behalf I will donate to the causes identified. I know the next chapter will be wonderful for ES. God closes one door only to open many more much wider. God Bless and as long as I can sew I WILL support businesses like ES. THANKS FOR SHARING
Thanks for sharing all of these free pattern videos. This is very generous of this lady to do this also. I love the jumpsuit and the pants after that.😉
Thanks for doing this video. I've also been eyeing the Clyde pants and had plans to hack a pattern to recreate them. This is amazing and exciting news!! Incredible that she has made these patterns available to us. I've already watched Sarah's sewalong.
Lisa, thank you for this video. This is why I love YT, I would have never heard about Elizabeth Suzanne. The basic, minimal look is quite eye-catching to me. I will definitely check her out. Thanks again
Fabulous style Lisa - love the linen look for all the outfits and such beautiful style lines. Thank you so much for finding these and sharing although it is such a sad story for the designer but perhaps an exciting and fulfilling future for her with the sewing community. Can't wait to sew the Clyde pants - they look so chic. Thank you again and I'm in the UK so will check out a charity to donate to as a thank you. Now to find some gorgeous linen x
This is great! With so few extended size patterns out there that don't look like Grandma's hand-me-downs it's awesome to get modern comfortable clothing that can be dressed up or down! Thanks for bringing it to our attention Lisa!
@@Lisamakes ALL of them! lol I love the Clyde jumpsuit but with my body shape they may end up just being lounge wear! I love the roominess of the pants so that is a big plus for me, not having to make adjustments to get them to fit would be great!
Elizabeth Suzann is an amazing designer. I bought the Harper Tunic a long time ago and really wanted the Clyde pants, I just didn’t have the budget for it. Now I’m back to sewing and was pleasantly surprised I could get the actual pattern to sew it myself! I am so excited! I am waiting on my linen fabric to arrive!
Wow I'm so glad you let us know about this! I have been a subscriber to dearly Bethany for a long time and love her style and have wanted to buy from Elizabeth Suzann for a while now.
Thank you so much for all of this great information! I have been sewing for over 50 years and would love to try these new patterns, especially the pants with the pockets, as they look so roomy and comfortable. Really appreciate you making this video for us. Thank you!🙂
Absolutely stunning designs and what to choose is like picking a favourite child! Lol! I would love to sew the Georgia top and dress pattern but I will happily work my way through this collection of lovelies.
Fantastic! She is paying forward her success, even as she has to shutter her business - and this will pay immense dividends for her, I predict. And I don't mean just monetary. I, too, have seen so many sewists renditions/hacks of other patterns to achieve the Clyde Pant. Thanks for sharing this information and pushing it even further with curated links and sites to assist everyone with these designs. Peace.
Hi..thank you so much for this, I was actually searching for something similar to take me through as I am new to sewing.....will definitely go for the step by step approach to build up my sewing skills.......gratefully awesome 👍👍👍👍

Thanks for this Lisa! I like the Georgia top, the dress would make me look pregnant over 50, which ugh is not a look I’m going for haha. Seriously I just like things more fitted. Just recently I got a knit top from Ann Taylor with similar lines that I was pleasantly surprised by how good it looked. I did take it in in the side seams a bunch, but it is my attempt at getting out of my comfort zone. So I’ll give Georgia a try for sure. I love the charitable aspect of this project-it’s an additional incentive for me to try this out. I actually just rewatched this video because I was sewing the first time and missed a lot of the slides. I also want to apologize for not making the deadline on the #makethatlook2020 challenge. I had to organize my mom’s things for an estate agent and it was a really tough week. Keep them coming please! I am so excited to start showing some of my makes. I really enjoyed what you shared of the process you went through with yours, I could relate on so many levels in the way you approached it. Thanks again.
Hey Lisa, by coincidence a Seattle maker, Krissy, at Stitch Collective, here on You Tube is doing a sew along series/tutorial of these patterns! She just did the pants with the other patterns to come. Thanks for the heads up on these patterns and I already watched the tutorial and I think I am ready to try!
Yes! I discovered her just after I published this video today, and have added the link to her Clyde in the description here. Do you know her personally?
Sad that she had to close her doors, but so generous to share with the world. These are great patterns. I need those Clyde pants paired with the Georgia top.
Wow, thanks! I’ve wanted the Clyde pants for years and tried to follow someone else’s hack with no success. I’m really sorry she’s had to close. This has been such a tough time for so many.
Does anyone have the Clyde jumpsuit and pants pattern? I thought I downloaded the pattern, but only created a link to the dropbox. I hate I missed this great opportunity.
Not sure it matters, but all the patterns are marked "midweight linen," so I'm not sure I would attempt any in the silk crepe as shown in the images you shared. Probably a small detail, but it felt important to me, a novice sewer. As an avid customer of ES, I do know that the seams in the silk garments are french seams, and the linen seams are finished with a serger or similar. So that would affect the seam allowances in the patterns. One more note - the Harper tunic is the short sleeve version only.
Good points! Actually, in one of the Harper files, I did see a sleeve piece, as well as a pocket piece, so I think you can do both! I think that you’re right; a novice should probably use linen; or something similar. Generally, with a serger you are cutting off some fabric from the seam, though, so that would probably equate to the amount you would need for a French seam in silk. I can imagine the Florence pants would be so amazing in silk!
Did anyone here download these patterns? I just found this video and it seems they’ve been taken down off Dropbox. Absolutely gutted as I was so excited to make the clydes. If anyone has and is willing to share I’d be really grateful.
@AndSewOn would it be possible for me to send you an email as well? I know that the people who made the patterns available mentioned that Liz was okay with sewists sharing them amongst themselves. Thank you for the video tutorial!
Hey! I can’t send all the files, as there are many in different size grouping and lengths, but if you want to choose one and send the request to my email, I can do that!
And Sew Oh my goodness! Thank you so much. I’m wanting to make the full romper, jumper, one piece. Lol! Not sure the correct terminology as it seems to be different country to country. I’m a size small. Does that answer the question? Thanks again so so much!
So there’s a woman I follow on Instagram that posted about her pants that were from elizabeth Suzann. I’d never heard of her but I loved the simplicity of the pants so decided to look her up and see what she was all about. I come across a NYT article talking about her closing so that was a serious bummer :( however I also came across this video. I’ve been cutting clothes to make them fit better for a while but I always had a hard time grasping sewing, I’ve been thinking of getting a sewing machine for a while so anyway this is my message out to the sewing company, hello! May I join you guys? :)
Welcome, welcome!! I’m glad you’ve found us. The sewing community is so fun and supportive, and I’m sure you will have a great time starting to create your own garments! There are FB groups for many of the patterns companies that are great for support; as well as on IG. Enjoy the journey!
I managed to snag these files just before the got taken down, which was coincidentally right when I started sewing! I’ve been practicing and working my way up to feeling ready to try these patterns, especially the Clydes! Do you know if the pdf patterns have seam allowances included?
There are two lines on the patterns for each size, one is with seam allowances and one is without. Have a look at the videos I linked of tutorials for a better explanation.
Hi! If you click the first link in the description, starting with “mail chimp”, you will be able to enter your email address. Then the ladies who created the files will send you the Dropbox link.
Would anyone here in the comments that was able to download them be willing to email them to me? I just found out about the patterns being released today (two days after the deadline) and am so sad about missing them! I’d of course donate to a Black-led organization in exchange
Lisa, I did get the email of Elizabeth Suzann's patterns but I can not open them. Do you know another route I can go? I really like her designs...so simple and comfortable. It's all about the fabric!
Hi- there four styles, and each one has several versions/lengths/PDF or copyshop. So, I can’t send them all- especially since I am getting many emails and requests- but I can send you one of the styles in your size if you email me. Thanks!
@@Lisamakes Thanks so much, Lisa. I really like the Clyde pants-size 12/14. And actually I did donate to BLM. Are you close to Barcelona? I was there visiting friends last summer and despite all the tourists (!) I really loved it.

I'm super sad I missed out on this. If anyone has the Clyde jumpsuit/pants and Georgia pattern I would love to have it
I managed to snag these files just before the got taken down, which was coincidentally right when I started sewing!
I went to the Elizabeth Suzanee link provided above but have not been able to access the dropbox. Do you have another link to share? Thanks.
Tobie Lurie I’m sorry to hear that! No, I don’t know another route to access all the patterns-- there are so many!
@@Lisamakes How many are there? They had sent me 3. Would you share?
Hi- there four styles, and each one has several versions/lengths/PDF or copyshop. So, I can’t send them all- especially since I am getting many emails and requests- but I can send you one of the styles in your size if you email me. Thanks!
@@Lisamakes Thanks so much, Lisa. I really like the Clyde pants-size 12/14. And actually I did donate to BLM. Are you close to Barcelona? I was there visiting friends last summer and despite all the tourists (!) I really loved it.
Tobie Lurie I am! About 40 minutes away. I’ll need your email address. :)
Do you have pattern for the Clyde vest?
No, sorry
Sad I missed it
Thanks for your video! I think the files are already deleted.
Hi there- you’re right! After I saw your comment, I went and checked and discovered that they have been taken down. I have added more info in the description, but here is the link to her email newsletter for future updates! confirmsubscription.com/h/t/2371BE3C6850E0A2
I so sad I missed this. Can anyone send me the patterns?
Thank you for this video. Do you know free patterns from farbrics-store? The're also gorgeous!
marta Hryniak Oh, yes! They’re amazing! I used their pattern as a base for my “Will” jacket from Sezane. Have you made any of their patterns yet?
Yes, three or four, and they're fabulouse. Made some small changes, very hapyy with them
Brilliant! I’ve only done the one, and it was heavily hacked, so I’d love to try one in its pure form. 👍
the clyde would be my choice.
Clyde and Harper!
Yes!!!!
Oh, no, the link to the patterns no longer works. ☹️
I’m sorry- that just happened, and I had no idea. I’ve linked to her email newsletter in the description for future updates and releases!
And Sew On Thank you.
😍👍🥰👗🧵
What a shame. Thanks Lisa
I know. :(
