    I hope you share videos when you make the wrap top and the Calypso top. That little bow detail is elegant, and I think you're right - it will look amazing in white with a sheer black bow.

    Agreed about that Calypso top! That little detail makes it interesting to wear on its OWN, as well as a shell under a jacket. Perfect.

      Yes ma'am! It is so curious how that little detail makes SUCH a difference, at least for me! I am glad you feel the same way :) Happy sewing!

    I’m going back and watching your old videos. I will be in Lewisburg, TN in December for our 5th grandchild’s birth. This is our daughter. I was told I was needed at the end of her pregnancy. I know you are in Tennessee and if you live in middle I would love to meet you at your convenience. Now back to your videos.

    I really liked the colour block Constance sweater for the monochromatic aspect. I’ve shifted away from florals now. Thanks for pulling this together.

      @ThoughtfulCreativity  4 года назад

      Jan, hello there! So happy to see you here - totally agree, I like the florals, but I always need a good healthy ratio between solids and florals, otherwise everything will be floral and nothing to wear :) absolutely, I hope this video gave you some inspiration and sewing motivation!!! :)

    I’ve just made up two of the Peppermint magazine wrap tops in the past month. They have turned oit well and it really is a great pattern. The top has beautiful finishing as the whole thing is French seamed.

    HI Alisa, thanks for making this vid, so many great patterns. I'm going to download the Peppermint wrap top to pare with the Peppermint shift dress I already had. Also downloaded the Monroe turtleneck, the Shauna Coatigan, the cardigan by life sew savory (she used some pretty lightweight fabric in her blog so the garment looked a bit cheap and flimsy but I think with a heavier fabric it would look great!) and the calypso top with bow detail (wow that is so cute and classy and versatile). I'll probably also download the suit blazer from mood bc i think it would look cute with skinny jeans! Thanks!

    Like your videos and what you bring to the sewing community. Unfortunately in the last few videos I struggle with the background music. For me it’s almost fighting with your voice. Personally I would prefer the videos without background music when you’re speaking. You have enough energy and enthusiasm of yourself. 💕

    My friend...how do you do it? You find such interesting free patterns. I’ve already downloaded one and have a few others I’m considering. I’m thinking on the coatigan.... I have wool that I could use. It gets very cold here and it’s snowing at the moment. 🙄 would that pattern work with a medium wool?

    • @ThoughtfulCreativity
      @ThoughtfulCreativity  4 года назад

      Hmmm... It looks like she is wearing that coatigan out if a medium thickness fabric - so I would say it should, but since I don't have it right in front of me - it is a little tough to say how much give it has or how really thick it is... And, wow, snow already??? Not that cold here yet, but temperature is dropping!

    • @ThoughtfulCreativity
      @ThoughtfulCreativity  4 года назад +1

      On the other hand... I am sitting here and thinking - I wonder if your wool or wool blend has any stretch to it... This pattern might be made for stretch materials, like thicker know and ponte roma. Otherwise it is going to be very difficult to bend the elbows... ( How do I know? Personal sewing mistakes from the past. Lol) :) I hope this helps. I am already looking for another selection or patterns for winter series and celebration series, too! :)

      Alisa Shay - Thoughtful Creativity ahhhh. Never thought of that. Very true. It has not much give at all. It’s pure wool. A beautiful emerald green. It would be so nice and warm but maybe better suited for a coat like the Lola. Thanks Alisa. Helped me avoid a sewing mishap. 💞😊
