so Gambit Records just throw away the original cover, took a relatively recent picture of O. Coleman and change the name of the band from "The Fabulous Paul Bley Quintet" to "Ornate Coleman Quintet" !!! The music is still great but ...
… which obscures the fact that this was a Paul Bley date, or dates. In fact, according to the late Phil Schaap in one of his last O.C. broadcasts, Paul Bley (and now his estate) are allegedly sitting on a slew of more tapes from this quintet. If that's true, I hope they will all surface someday.
