Great info Fiona, love the way you delve into the varieties of species, with lots of additional knowledge and advice, eg showing the different pruning style effects on the cotinus, in leaf size etc. Question; did you limb up the first nandina domestica or was that it’s true growth habit? The Fire Power and Gulf Stream were more of a low, bushy type of growth so just wondering why the difference? Thanks. Also the sound quality on this recent vid is better, and I saw that you were miked up, compared to early videos, but I’m wondering if there’s a possibility of the sound being ramped up even more? Your presentation is excellent and it really needs to be heard. Many thanks. Subscribing.
Thanks for your comments, glad you enjoyed the video. The Nandinas have never been pruned, that is part of the joy of them, that they grow naturally in such a lovely form. We did take the tops out of the N. 'Gulf Stream' a few years ago when they got out of proportion with the rest of the planting around them, but no need to prune any of them. Thanks for the comments on the sound...we are constantly striving to improve it as much as we can🙂
Thanks for this video, I just discover your channel and I like your explanations and it seems we have a similar taste in shrubs. Just subscribed ! 😊
Thanks so much for watching and subscribing, glad you enjoyed the video ❤️
