  • Charbroil X200 Grill2Go uk review Buyer Beware!! This grill gets great reviews in the Us or at least most are from there, I did not use mine in the end as in my opinion is not safe, as you can see from the video hardly any wind yet this grill seems to be going out, what happens if it goes out and a friend is smoking near it?? as the gas continues to come out? it is very well built just let down by this issue, not sure if the regulator can be dialed up a little to stop this? tried it inside worked ok with no issues. Have two regs for it as i forgot to include this in the return of the first bbq, so its not a reg, maybe these are US on a different pressure? not sure, but just keep in mind this issue i have had, maybe making a skirt lets say out of a fire blanket would do the job, but why should you do that on a new product. Please Charbroil sort this issue as otherwise it looks fantastic with the locking lid, ideal size.

    EASY FIX there is a adjustment screw for fuel flow behind the sticker in the middle of the regulator knob it's an allen key.

    I had my grease tray on backwards too - I used my today and could hear the gas glow and could hear the wind playng with that flame - bet your problem is a simple fix - install the grease tray from the front

    I've had this one for over 7 years now. Take it with me to Scotland and France and I have NEVER had a problem with it. I only ever use it as a travel bbq and not my main one. Never blown out always reliable. I love the thing. I only use the small canisters not the big tank. I think the only thing I wouldnt use it for is any meat on the bone. Burgers, hotdogs, kebabs, fillets it works a treat. On the bone not sure it would cook right through without burning the outside. Again works great for me.

    Put the grease tray in its correct place - that will keep the wind form blowing out the fire as the grease tray covers the holes on the bottom of the grill.

      @@stevehorvath5292 I couldn't see the grease tray there - I think You might have put it in the wrong way round - I'm not realy shure if it matters but i think the handle part should be facing the front of the firebox - take a look in the manual.

    I can't see the grease tray in place at 1:21. My old grille only blows out when I forget that tray, which I don't forget any more. Here in Hawaii it is very windy at the ball park where I bbq for the teams every Monday. We all love it.

    Mines okay- but then again I always run it with the drip fitted. It probably needs the drip tray to stop the flame blowing out.

    charbroil now has the updated regulator that allows for better temp control. on a grill this size 250 is as low as you will see because it is so small... I have mine hooked up to a 20lb tank and I also got some ceramic grill tiles that I put in over the burner and gawdd dam is this thing good. cooks like on of them 1000 dollar tec infrared grills now. best grill hands down

    I wonder how it works with the smaller propane bottles instead of the big tank

    looks like you have a regulator on your adapter hose from the tank, i dont think you can have 2 regulators hooked up in series unless you have a 2 stage regulator setup you may want to consult your propane service provider or charbroil

    My issue with this grill is two fold, don't use marinade on your meat as it drips into the holes of the part the meat sits on and block them within a few minutes and it then only works like a pan on your hob with ribbed frying pan, the other major issue is the regulator that comes with the grill does not regulate the temperature - now matter what I turn it to (either using a bottle gas or the small portable gas little canisters) will got to a full 275 degrees!! I have contacted Carbroil - no help or even a reply - and that is through their own website - would not recommend this.

  • @craiglenhard-rvrguyd

    Could the issue be your tank pressure. Here in the US these are meant to be connected to a 1lb propane bottle not a 20lb.

      You buy the extra lead/pipe to allow the use of a big bottle. That was a genuine charbroil pipe

      The 2 bottles have about the same pressure! i just bought this grill the sticker says 09/19 & my regulator has a straight pipe going into the grill but theres very little adjustment on the regulator still pegs the heat guage at well over 600f no matter the setting so i put a brass needle control valve on the outlet side of the regulator now i can turn it way down & control the heat

    Seems you have double pressure reduction. One at tank and another one in regulator. I doubt that is acceptable.

    • @stevehorvath5292
      @stevehorvath5292  4 года назад

      Worked exactly the same if I used small screw in bottle or the large one with charbroil genuine pipe for uk big bottles. You can only use one regulator at a time

      @@stevehorvath5292 did you ever try two regulators and if so what happened. I just talked to Charbroil about that regulator in the US. It is supposed to run around 650F which I find to be too hot so I just need to keep the lid cracked open or lift the lid every minute. What a pain.

    • @stevehorvath5292
      @stevehorvath5292  4 года назад

      @@craiglenhard-rvrguyd you cant use two? As there is only one slot? Think people getting confused by me using the big bottle? It's a lead that has no regulator on it just a connection to the big bottle with an on off lever then it simply screws into the regulator just like the can would! So don't know where all this talk about 2 regulators comes from?? It's a well built grill but kept blowing out in very little wind which in turn I pressed the ignition and it blew me off my feet! You can see there is very little wind in the vid

      @@stevehorvath5292 On my RV I have a 20lb tank with a regulator. The RV has an external connection hose which I could hook up to with a few modification but the grill has a second regulator that's why I asked about a second regulators effect. I did not know if the pressure would drop too low. Have not seen any videos on this question.

      I wanted something that could use canisters as well, got the weber baby q, it's ok I've had the bigger q b4 only issue is the grill loses heat but you find you have to cook differently depending on what you buy. I wanted the napoleon travel q with cart but was too expensive. The Weber is an alright grill just loses heat if you load it up, but good quality and reasonably easy to clean do try the Weber cleaner its pretty good
